I called Nail Tech & Spa at 6:15 pm tonight to see if they were still taking customers. Ann told me to come now if I could and would. I live across the street and rushed right over. As soon as I walked in Ann greeted me with a smile. Ann was finishing up with a customer and called me to her station immediately after. Her hospitality was excellent. She talked with myself and another new customer. She made me feel comfortable as she and the other staff always does. She did my nails just as I asked and added a snowflake design as extra. I was really tired after a long days work, but the delightful, and positive energy work me up. My nails turned out beautifully. I am quite pleased with their prices, excellent customer service, and the finishing product of my nails. I've been coming their for almost two years and refuse to go anywhere else. Under new management! I followed Olivia here from the prior nail spa she worked at. Olivia's nail art is incredible. She's 10/10. Now, more recently Vivian has been doing my pedicure and Olivia my manicures. Olivia is busy. Make sure you make an appointment ahead of time. I highly recommend Vivian for pedicures as well. The pedicure area is clean and the massage chairs are excellent. In addition to the included lotions, hot towel, etc. they also use fresh oranges during the leg massage. This is probably the worst manicure i've ever gotten. The colors on the sample tips were nothing like the actual nail polish. The guy who did my nails was nice but he was rushing and made 3 of my fingers bleed and didn't even clean up the blood so there's dry blood on my cuticles now. I asked for a design and he did not give me one, overall horrible experience and I do not recommend anyone to go here read more

I'm so disappointed !.. I spent $200 in 2 weeks went back 4 times to have my nails looking crazy! This shop is in the back corner or a shopping center so I was happy to find a quiet location.I always get SNS powder.I wanted a fill but the tech wasn't knowledgeable on how to do it because my nails are long.I told the tech I wanted the same length and coffin shape.The more she dipped my nails the more I realized this was not going great she kept making my nails square I showed her pictures on IG of the shape she still couldn't do it 2hrs in another tech swapped out and fixed it I was very happy.UNTIL my middle nail cracked that very night.I went back the next day she re dipped all of my nails.8 of my nails had the same cracks.I went back again but there wasn't enough techs for me to do a pedicure and have my nails corrected.(I won't get into the pedicure but the man is very rough and aggressive) I messaged the tech on IG with no response I went to the shop a FOURTH time and asked for them all to be soaked off and redone correctly because re dipping them didn't fix it.The tech got nasty & started to rush through my nails.I asked if I could switch the color since They had to be re done she said she would charge me $30.The guy told her it should only be $20 since I came back 4 times.I declined at this point I just want what I paid for the outcome is tragic ‍Never Again ! The worst nail salon ever. It hasn't even been two whole weeks and my nails look this. I spent $90 on the service and left the nail tech a $20 tip for me to have to come back not even a week but 4 days later because of a cracked nail. They clearly had an attitude because I had to wait over a hr to get serviced(it was not crowded). They just kept peaking at me and talking in their language . When I get a bad manicure, I like to think I just caught someone new or someone on a bad day, so that might be true for this salon, as it was my first time visiting. However I did get a pretty sloppy gel mani, with all these odd little polish bumps throughout the middle of my nails. Hacked off my last gel, and I really dislike when people scratch off existing polish with their own nails. Not attentive to cuticles, and I've only had this mani for about 6 hours and it's already peeling. Also felt like the manicurist was contorting my hands and arms more than necessary and oddly clucking at me-maybe I should be thankful that I got a shoulder workout? But seriously, I get gels very regularly and almost laughed a couple times thinking he was joking with how he was pulling and pushing my arms and hands. A very very musty moldy smell became apparent when a towel was laid down under the older UV machines and I had to wash my hands a few times to shake the scent. I think I'm just extra bummed because I just got engaged and we are going on a trip right after Christmas and this was my last chance to get a lasting mani- I shouldn't have left it to chance! I was in a pinch on this past Easter Sunday. I needed a gel refill and all my usual salons were closed. I found them on yelp and called. They were polite. Richard did my nails and he was very gentle. He would constantly remind me to relax because I'm generally skeptical about people messing up my nails. He did a great job. Only con was that at the end, he didn't add cuticle oil, he did, however, offer lotion lol. I'm a new fan and I'll go a second time to see what happens. read more

THE GOOD... -staff is usually friendly -easy to find parking -renovations to spa area are better -prices are ok THE BAD... -brief leg and foot nassage is very inconsistent...sometimes it's good, but mostly too quick -massage chair isn't very comfortable -no real ambiance -can't add tip to credit card -technicians can become distracted, carrying on conversations in Vietnamese with other workers...not very relaxing Overall, I know Nail Tech isn't a high ends spa kinda joint. From the outside it looks like another strip mall ho hum nail salon, but on the inside it is well lit and clean with brand new pedicure chairs and friendly employees. PRICES = reasonable. $24 for a pedicure and $30 for a shellac manicure. I upgraded my pedicure with a callus treatment for an extra $4 and it was worthwhile. SERVICE = great. Employees are friendly and quick to serve you. My toes and nails look very good. MY ONLY COMPLAINT = and it's not a huge deal, but I felt like on the shellac manicure I didn't get the usually hand/arm massage that should come with a manicure. I get acrylic not dip, all the reviews I see about ppl getting mad that their nails are cracking clearly don't know that anything longer than short-medium is not going to work for dip bc it is simply not strong enough. Please don't waste your time and money going to this place!! The Asian lady that sits right by the door behind the cash register is extremely rude. I went there to get a wax service done, when I got there she was busy doing someone's nails, she told me to have a seat and she'll be with me soon. I sat down and waited for a few minutes. She wasn't done doing the lady's nails but told me to go to the back. I followed her and noticed that she never washed her hands. When we got in the room I politely asked her could she wash her hands before she touched my face. I could tell me asking her to wash her hands pissed her off. She went to bathroom I guess and ran some water on her hands. Then she came back in the room and started my wax. She was extremely aggressive on purpose while waxing me. After she was done she never gave me a mirror, I had to ask for the mirror myself. She did a terrible job and when I asked her to fix it she yelled and said "she doesn't want my money!" And told me to leave!! All of this because I asked her to wash her hands before she touched my face. I will never step foot in such a rude and unprofessional environment like thus again. Have gone to this place for about a year - many manis/pedis, no problem. Two months ago, got gels put on. That night, I noticed one finger - right pinky - getting red. By morning, angry, swollen and hurting. Tried home remedies of various types (soaking, mycitracin, etc). Took 2 weeks to back off to slightly pink. Then, I returned to simply get gels removed - figured other was a fluke. Did mention other - they shrugged. That nite the next-door ring finger swelled! This time it took 3 wks, two dr. visits, 2 diff antibiotics. NEVER had ANY infection before, here or anywhere. Too bad - convenient - but NEVER going back. read more

This was my first visit and I had a mani/pedi. I was warmly greeted and my manicure started fairly soon after. I decided to have my first gel manicure and I've been very happy with it so far. 10 days later and my nails still look good. I also had a great pedicure. Again, 10 days later and the polish has not chipped a bit (this was not a gel pedicure). I did find it a bit disconcerting to have the woman who did my manicure consistently talking with the other technicians loudly in a language I do not understand. I found it harder to relax, as I usually do during a manicure. I prefer to have a quiet conversation with the nail tech...or no conversation. I loved the massage chair experience while getting my pedi. I had a different technician and she was sweet and accommodating. I would prefer there not be a TV in that area as, again, I use this time to relax. I would also like the pedi area to be a "no cell phone" zone. A woman a couple of chairs down from me talked loudly on her cell for 10 minutes or more. And, as you have already read, I really like to relax as part of my mani/pedi experience. :) Having said all of that, I will return as I am really happy with the results. I tried this place based on the reviews I read here. So thanks to everyone who shared. read more

Do not use this salon for special occasions or expect them to keep your appointments! I have been coming here for several years. I made an appointment a month ago to have my nails done this morning for my WEDDING! I arrived to find the salon closed, no one there. I left two messages for them and went home, assuming that when they realized their mistake they would make it right. By their regular opening time no one had called me so I called them. They hadn't even listened to my messages. When I explained I needed my wedding nails done fast the woman told me she was the only one there and she already had a client and couldn't help me. I suggested she call in another nail tech since they screwed this up and she said there was nothing she could do. So I am literally now scrambling at the last minute to find a salon to do my nails FOR MY WEDDING TODAY while this salon could apparently not care less. There are lots of other places that deserve your money. Don't spend it here. read more

thank the heavens! i have finally found a great nail salon in this area. i'm originally from the dc area and the search for a good nail salon has been pretty difficult for me. i stumbled upon other reviews about this place and decided to give it a try. being that i'm so particular, i was searching for someone who took their time and could shape my nails the right way. i walked in on a wednesday and it wasn't busy at all, so i was able to get taken care of immediately. tina is the best, and maybe that's biased because she's the only one i've ever seen, but she took her time. customer service is great here and honestly, i will continue to go here to get my nails done. fyi, i go elsewhere for my pedicures because i prefer someone specific to do mine; nothing against this place. read more

This boring strip mall location hides a true gem. The staff are very attentive, and the pedicure menu is awesome. I am a frugal individual so indulging in this is an extreme luxury. I checked this place out because of the great reviews. I have been searching for a nail place since I moved to Towson 7 months ago. Finally found my place!! The only reasons I gave them 4 stars and not 5 are because 1: wax job is meh. I will have to clean up at home. 2: I had to keep repeating what services I wanted. And I kid you not- 3 times I had to remind them I wanted a gel mani, pedi and wax. But they did give me some free lotion.... My mantra is "free stuffs cool!" I went back this morning to have my gel manicure redone. My nail had chipped last night and that was the final straw for me. I went in this morning and told the guy that my nail had chipped and that the polish wasn't thick enough in many place, and that it was a messy manicure, I wanted it redone. He got an attitude (unfortunately it was the same guy I had yesterday) and tried blaming it on the fact that I got a matte top coat. He told me he would fix the chip and the one nail I pointed out to him where I could see the nail underneath the polish (even tho there were several others like this). Then when we sat down he began to put polish over the existing polish. I told him that I wanted a fresh, new manicure and if it was in fact the "matte top coat" (as he kept insisting) that made it the way it was then to just give me the regular gel top coat. After attitude and insisting, I walked out with a much better manicure, still not what I wanted, but I wanted to be done with this place. I will never go back. read more

I was feeling spontaneous, and wanted (okay, needed) a pedicure, so I called my sister and consulted yelp. This area was between my sister's house and mine, and the reviews looked good, so we thought we'd try it out. I called at 5pm to reserve two pedicure stations at 6pm and that wasn't a problem. When we arrived, they took us right back. The space is beautiful and they had ample room for pedicures. I saw 12 stations but there may have been more. The staff was friendly and they did a great job. Odd choice of TV programming, which seems to be a common theme in my nail salon journeys, I just didn't really care to see a pig being slaughtered while someone massaged my feet. Anyway... It was an overall pleasant experience, just bring cash for a tip, because they don't allow the option of putting it on your credit card. read more

I found this gem just looking up nails salons in the area. I'm visiting from out of town and it's a Sunday so I was concerned I wouldn't be able to find a place open. They close at 5pm and I wasn't going to be able to make it until 4:45pm. They said no problem and I brought 2 teenage girls both with me to get a mani and pedi as well. The chairs were very relaxing and the staff is amazing and very professional. Overall my experience was great and they also did a wonderful job with my gel mani / pedi.
