My family swears by Nail Tech. On a Friday morning, they were able to accommodate most of the women in my family without an appointment. I really appreciated their great attitudes and the fact that they didn't try to push upgrades on me like another salon I visited recently. The gel nails looked absolutely perfect and I loved them. Until three weeks later, when I tried to take them off only to discover that they are not removable at home! Just like acrylic, they destroy your nail beds and have to be removed professionally. Everything was good as far as my nails turned out. They told me it would be about a 20 minute wait which I agreed to and it was closer to 40 minute wait. And I didn't even mind that because I could see they were working diligently on the two other customers that were being serviced. So I took that as a good sign which it was. They did my nails and they even gave me a flower on my ring fingers free of charge. I wasn't sure about that but I did like it. May manicure missed one step which he didn't rub the nails with alcohol so they were sticky. My pedicure was lovely, and I asked the woman who did it if she thought my nails were sticky but once they put the alcohol on everything was fine. I'm well satisfied with how my nails turned out but it's only been a couple of days so I want to see how long they last before any chipping happens. With the dip there shouldn't be any chipping, but I did read that in a review. So time will tell. read more

I have been going to nail tech for several years and have only been disappointed a few times for a long wait, but can't complain because 80% of the time I'm a walk in, which I love. I usually call ahead and ask when my tech is free or if they're busy. Very convenient. I always have Tommy do the powder dip on my hands and a regular pedicure by anyone. While I am getting a pedi they wrap my nails to save time on my manicure. Tommy is meticulous and a talented artist. He knows what I like and always makes sure I'm happy. Every holiday/ special occasion Tommy does fabulous artwork on a few nails, and does not charge extra for it. I've been to many other salons that charge $5-$10 per nail for artwork. I always get many compliments and people are "wowed" by the detail. I used to pay at least $10-$15 more at other salons, and here they give you a menu to choose your type of pedicure but I've never had them try to sell me more than whatever I choose. It does not have a spa ambiance which would be nice, but it is clean and everyone is friendly. I will keep going back and highly recommend Nail Tech, especially Tommy. read more

So I went there on Sunday eve , went there at 3:45 the lady came to me and said oh it's gonna take 30 minute I said ok I will wait after waiting 40 minutes she came back and said 15 more , I was stupid eneough to wait , well I told I don't get my nails done really often and just want a fake nails but she pressured me to get the dip with tip I ended up paying 45$ it was dark left around 6 :( but on morning when I showed my nail to friend she was like who did it I told about the place my friend said your nails doesn't looks alike professionally done , :( broke my heart she said , I explained her that yes salon lady didn't pushed my cuticles all of the color was on my finger nail skin and jacket , and the whatever I had done wasn't sitting right on my nail bed but yes of you pay close attention it's all sitting on my cuticle:( my friend said it's gonna come off within days :( really broke my heart it's all lumpy when you touch my nail the dip powder is not sitting on my nails but on even all over on cuticles :( seriously just so sad , will never never return , my friend said she will tell other people too , not to go there ,, read more

I decided to come here since it was close to work and the place I've been going has seemed to start declining in their work, meaning I have a different tech each time and I rarely see the same faces when I go in and my nails seems to break, which never happens. Anyway, I came in on a Wednesday afternoon around 4:45 and there were a few people in but I was greeted as soon as I came in. I didn't have to wait long so I picked my color, since I do the dip. Everyone was really nice and the lady made sure I liked the color, the length, everything. She took her time and I really appreciate that. Seems they have quite a few regulars that they know on a first name basis and that's always a good sign too. I was comfortable there and it's really clean. I DO wish they had more dip colors to choose from, but hopefully they will eventually. I'll definitely be back and become a regular as long as they keep doing what they're doing! read more

I stopped at the Nail Tech last minute after work. I ran in asking how long it would take for them to do my dip. I was greeted so nicely by two ladies who assured me they could do it in 45 minutes! I assumed when you say 45 minutes it's quality work not 45 minutes of poor work. The nail tech was very sweet, however, super hard to understand. She rushed the whole time, even after I explained she didn't need to rush anymore I got my second appointment rescheduled. She had to fix my thumb nail (pictured) several times and she told me it's because I couldn't relax my hand. But really she kept sticking more powder dip on top of an uneven surface. Once I was completed, my nails looked okay. I rushed home to get ready for my event that night. Once I got a better look in the natural lighting in the pictures is what I saw. I have never had my nails look like this after spending money for a professional service. I called this morning for a refund because my schedule does not allow for me to come in and fix it and I get my nails done enough now I don't think I need to come in to correct their poor services. The lady refused to refund my money because she said she couldn't tell who I was, after she quickly said she remembered me from yesterday. So when I told her she just said she knew who I was! She responded with "soo you want your money back but you don't want to come in to fix it?" And I said yes, but since you don't want to do that I will never return back to your business and I will be writing a review! Ohhh and lets also talk about how some man came in with shrimp trying to sell it! I'm in the medical profession and most people are severely allergic and can't even be around shrimp! Staff completely did not listen to the shape I wanted filed and reshaped my nails so they were rounded even though they were sharp before. I made a huge mistake. I was so busy getting ready for my nephew's wedding that I totally forgot to book my nail appointment. So on the way home I stopped at Nail Tech which is close to where I work. Let me just say, I will never go back. The tech doing my nails was rude beyond anything I've ever experienced at a salon. She's yank my hand when it wasn't it a place that suited her. When she stated gluing on the base nail it was burning my skin -- did she stop..no. She'd grab my hand and keep going. I finally pulled my hand away. She got some different glue and never said sorry. And yes, she did speak English. I kept showing her the shape I wanted on my nail but she kept giving me square. Finally I got close to what I wanted. Then the polish didn't cover the entire nail. (I didn't notice this until I'd already left) She then sat there speaking to the tech next to her in her navitive language non-stop. I went here to get my nails done and the woman who helped me told me that it was $27 for a gel manicure. After she said this my friend pointed out that she had never paid more than $17 here for the same service, so I looked around and noticed that she was right it said $17 for a gel manicure. The two woman walked in the back immediately after I gave their cash and did not come back for a while. Meanwhile two other employees sat there speaking about us, although we could not understand what they were saying, without trying to help us. About 10 minutes later when the two woman came back out we told them that we were charged $10 too much for the manicure and they immediately apologized and gave us back our money, as if they already knew that. I have been getting my nails done at Nail Tech for years until I moved to Chicago in 2015. Back then, I always had excellent experiences when frequenting this salon, including great service and excellent manis/pedis from all the different technicians there. Now, when I come back in to town to visit, I still frequent the salon when I can. Not only do I still receive great service and excellent workmanship, all the technicians and the owner, Tina, (who is so kind and her attentive to detail) remember me and ask how I am and how life is. It's that "friendly neighborhood salon" vibe that keeps me coming back to Nail Tech (along with the great manis and pedi, of course). Their polish color gallery is massive and they do a great job of ensuring you are happy with their work as they go. Prices are very reasonable for the full assortment of services (regular polish, gel/shellac polish, acrylic nails, powder dip, they do it all) and although they do try to sell you on uncharged services, they are never pushy. I highly recommend this salon and all its technicians to anyone looking to find their new go-to nail salon! read more

The WORST service I've ever received from a nail salon. My sister and Minesfirst time going here, we expected better service. We both wanted manacures and pedicures, WITH DESIGNS which they said they could do, so they sit us down and get started on my sister right away. I'm waiting for a while probably 15 minutes, not a big deal cause I'm a patient person. A women starts setting up to do me and is literally sitting down with her things when the popular Tina tells her to take the women who just walked in. She didn't have an appointment but was there to get her nails fixed from a previous time. Which I would have understand if I hadn't already been waiting and the women was literally starting on me. She argued with Tina for a few minutes and then finally took the other women. So Tina comes up to me and asks what I want her to do for me. Gel nail. Oh no, you need to do the dip, it's more natural and better for your nails. She then has 2 of her clients come over and show me, both of their nails looked amazing so I agree to try it. Then she proceeds to walk over to a male worker, has him stop in the middle of his pedicure and come work on me while she takes over his client. Okay, I just think that she will take me when it's time for nails. Then the guy has me sit down for my nails and does a horrible job. He cut me deep with a dremel, again not a big deal cause I'm easy going and he felt super bad. But my nails were lumpy and uneven, some had hooked edges. Since I never got a dip I thought maybe they would get better or there were other steps in place. The whole time they were getting slammed with walk ins and my guy kept looking around and sighing because he was getting overwhelmed. Instead of turning people away or giving them an accurate wait time, they just kept setting people down and flying through us. My sisters design was done by Tina who was rushing that it was all uneven, at the end she was standing up at the table rushing through the design to get to the next client. When my guy started on mine it was clear he was NOT good at them, after asking for help from a few of his coworkers who just ignored him, he finally just got fed up and kept asking me if it was okay. Finally after 2 & 1/2 HOURS of us being there I told him to take it off cause I was ready to go. My nails looked like a 4 year old did them. When we go to check out I tell Tina that they are all messed up, need to be fixed and show her them to her. She offers me a $5 off coupon and tells me I can come in and she will shape them again for me but that she couldn't right now because she had a client and one waiting. OKAY, fine I was tired of being there and I have 2 small kids I have to get back to. So after I leave I call and make an appt. for a redo with her to insure I get her this time. The next day I show up at my appt. and she smiles rushes over to me and tells me she's actually really busy (Which they are slammed) but I say I have an appointment with you, she continues to say yes but we got busy which I reply again, yes but I have an appointment and 2 small children it's hard to get away. She then gets annoyed and sits me down. She starts to reshape them, I tell her I want them redone. I paid 63$ for nails and toes and my nails are awful. She starts arguing with me saying they just need to be reshaped when the color is uneven, my nails are thick and lumpy and 2 of them have green on them from the failed design. She then told me that the green is from the design I wanted as if she didn't need to fix it, I said but I didn't get a design so the green shouldn't be there. How can you justify green being on a 35$ mani when your nails aren't green! She huffed and rolled her eyes. Then I show her how 3 of my nails have hooked edges, she starts arguing with me that it's my natural nail, I said I'm not trying to make your job difficult but I get my nails done all the time and they don't have hooked edges. She then starts talking to the worker next to her showing her my nail and continues to argue with me. I keep trying to explain that the edges of nails shouldn't be sharp or getting snagged on things. THEN SHE PROCEEDS TO SHOW THE CLIENT NEXT TO ME AND ASKING HER WHAT SHE THINKS!!!! I said I don't know why you are asking them that's really rude! She then says to me, the next time you get your nails done, don't get a dip, because this is the shape of your nail, and I said, you were the one who told me to! You had your clients come over to me and then you didn't even do them! It was like talking to a wall. The entire time she's fixing them she's talking to about me to her coworker and pointing at my nails to her. It was very unprofessional and for the price the service is HORRID. I eventually told her just do what you want so I can leave. It was very embarrassing being talked about to coworkers and clients when I tried so hard to be polite and understanding through all of this and they couldn't even make it right. I have gone here several times with no problem. However, I had a terrible experience yesterday when getting a mani/pedi. My pedicure was fine but during the manicure when "cuticle oil" was applied to my hands it literally removed the skin off one of my fingers and on several other smaller spots on both hands. I have chemical burns on both hands and it's highly painful. The worst part is they still charged me for my peidcure just not my manicure. But, $35 is still a large price to pay for going home with open wounds! I paid, but I will not return. read more
