Updating my review once again! I prefer quality over quantity! I've given grace in the past but today was unacceptable! Starting off, I asked for warm water at least 3 times! Never happened. So I had a cold foot soak, uncomfortable! I said no to a razor on my feet and that was the end to the quality of my pedicure! I have left from nail trix with deep cuts to my heels that took weeks to heal which is why I do not EVER want a razor used on my feet! This obviously annoyed the nail tech! She totally ignored my heal at this point, leaving it with the callous that I came in with. Not to mention the uncomfortable feeling of 3 different ppl working on me. Cuticle oil on one hand but not the other. So much of the cuticle oil that my phone case is stained and ruined! Literally going to another nail salon to have feet redone. read more

However, when it came time to pay, she said the total was $65 and claimed I must have misheard. That was really frustrating, especially since I made sure to clarify the price beforehand. If I had known it would be $65, I could have gone somewhere closer to home for the same price. Instead, I feel like my time was wasted. I do want to say that the nail tech who worked on me was very professional and sweet. I appreciated her service. But because of the way the pricing situation was handled by the owner, I can't support a business that doesn't honor what was quoted. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. read more

My mother treated me to a pedicure and said she loved this spot. The elderly women who did our nails were not good. My mother kept wincing in pain and finally told her she was not being gentle and was nipping her skin. The woman proceeded to speak in Vietnamese to the woman who was doing my nails. The job was poor, she dug forever in one spot causing pain, the paint job was overlapping onto the skin and the massage was less than a minute. She had brought stones in a bowl to the chair side but did not use them. My mother also requested a manicure and the color was not what she requested, it had a different number. My mother was so upset by the time we left, it just was a sad experience. She left them huge tips as she usually does just because this was what she had planned. One star for being able to schedule an appointment. One star for their selection of colors and color powders. Now, I asked for a short set of acrylics. Not on natural nail, just short. This is what I ended up with. I asked to use forms instead of tips. They said they could. When my manicure was being done, they used neither. She just kind of hung the acrylic off my nail which ended up leaving big cracks underneath. First they had me sit at a clean station (2), and then right before they started my manicure, they made me move to the station right next to it that had just been vacated (1). It was not cleaned between clients. There were no fresh tools. I had to remind my tech V to not use the dirty tools they had used on the previous client TWICE. TWICE. If I hadn't been sitting right there and known they were dirty from the last client; they were still visibly dirty and covered in acrylic shavings. I had to ask for the forms, she told me she didn't need them. She asked me twice what shape, rounded square. Then started filing into these weird shapes. I repeated it a third time. She just kept going. Asked if it was fine, I shrugged and said sure, we can't put it back on, I guess. I was trying to trust the process. There was no apex made. What I asked for. This color. Short rounded square. What I got... this. I walked out to my car. Took some deep breaths, and went back in and asked for them to fix it. They refused. They said that she is their best nail tech, and if she couldn't do this super simple set, that they couldn't fix it. They offered me a 50% refund which a) will not get me a new set fixed elsewhere, and b) is not worth having nails with cracks no apex that are likely to get water logged and rip off my natural nails the second they get caught on something. Editing to add: 3 nails were lifting, 2 which came off completely, less than 3 hours later. read more

My lifesavers! Backstory: I had a nail appointment booked with a local nail tech one month in advance. She cancelled three days before the appointment and I couldn't find anyone to do my nails. I had a flight to catch on Friday and at this point it was hopeless. Thankfully Nail Trix came in clutch and got me feeling festival ready. I got a basic pedicure and a full set with nail art and bling. I was in there for an unknown amount of time (time doesn't exist in relaxation mode lol). I felt so good! They started off with the pedicure. Full message and leg scrub included. My nail art was based off of a picture on Pinterest. It was a snake skin pattern with some tips incorporated. I wish I got her name! But she was going to the same festival as me and really hooked a girl up. She helped me pick the colors combos and everything. I always come here, I never ask for designs; I've never had a problem. I picked a design that I thought would be super simple. White with matte with a couple clear stripes. The way we discussed it made it seem like it was super difficult. Then she said $53 would be the total ($35 for the acrylic set, $15 for the nail sticker strips, $3 for matte). She said it would be $65 if I chose shellac which I said no thanks. My cousin took my card and paid while I was still getting mine done. I was charged $68. I went to this location to get a gel manicure. I did not have a appointment but there was a available technician. The staff was not rude but were not super welcoming. While one of the nail technicians were clipping my cuticles she cut my finger with the clipper. My finger started to bleed and she tried to stop it with pressure from a paper towel. I went ahead and finished the session, but I was not offered any sort of bandage for my finger. I further was not discounted or compensated for the service. This is the first time this has ever happened to me at a nail shop. I personally will not return to this location. read more

we love nail trix! we have gotten serviced here quite a few times. they are always consistent with excellent service and pays great attention to detail. i find that their salon is different than other salons because they actually inspected my nails before i left and they fixed any blemishes. not many other places do that. all their technicians are always friendly and welcoming. it only took one visit for them to remember us. their facilities are very clean and they are very covid aware. nail trix has been a breath of fresh air compared to the other nail salons in the area. i highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a nice little spa treat on your hands and feet. they do appointments but it doesnt seem like its necessary. we have done walk ins and only had to wait a few minutes. i guess its best to call ahead just in case. enjoy! read more

I am from out of state and was visiting and found this gem on yelp. Literally a hidden gem in Federal Way. I took my sister in law to spend time with her and we enjoyed every little thing about this location. The staff was very welcoming and accommodated very well to our arrival, as well as having a large gel selection. I do want to recognize the lovely lady who did my pedicure and when I say she is lovely, I honestly couldn't be happier that she included herself in our conversation when it came to talking about today's issue's, as well as giving me one of the best pedi's that I've ever had in life. Sadly I cannot remember her name, but she's the beautiful lovely lady with two rose tattoos on her left forearm. She took her time and got every nook and cranny in my toe nails. I definitely showed my aunt and cousin this spot and now they've officially made this location there 'go to' now. Now when I return I this is the first place I go to when I'm in town. Also, for me and my sister in law's gel pedicure, it came out to $88, plus tip which we both tipped out both ladies $20 each cause I don't know any other way to show how happy I was to a 'TEE' about my pedi. read more

I have such a conflicting review. I've been going to NT for about 2 years now and I've found who I prefer to do my nails and I enjoy working with them. Quality work, grea designs. However, they don't hold cleanliness in the highest priority. I have been battling a planters wart on my foot and my thumb for a few months. As a SAHM who only goes to NT this is really the only place I could have picked it up. I've never had autoclaved tools, their sanding bands are dirty, I've been sat at stations with acrylic shavings left from the previous person, and sure they use the pedicure tub plastics but the purpose is defeated when they use the same tools repeatedly. As much as I enjoy them, I'm done with them. Which is such a bummer because finding a nail place you vibe with is so difficult. read more

I had high hopes for Nail Trix as they were recommended to me by a friend. Went in for a full set, had a bad experience. The lady working on my acrylics was clearly new at acrylics. It was a hot mess. She used the wrong width tips for my nails, acrylic gel glopped all over the place; all nails had various thicknesses, shapes and lengths. At a certain point, I asked if someone else with more experience could work on my nails and she just stared at me. That said, she was nice enough to try and correct every concern I had - it was just a lot. Two hours later, I left unhappy. Ended up having to get a brand new full set two weeks later. I have to imagine they have better techs there, because other women left the salon with impressive nail art. Unfortunately, I did not have that experience. Do not go here!!! I was overcharged twice. This last time when I brought it to their attention, they said it's because I had shellac. I did not. I only had a topcoat. They also said they charged me for powder. I did not have that, but they charged me for that as well. after they brought the gal who did my nails upfront to ask her what I had done she told them exactly what I had done and then they realize they overcharged me. No one said sorry I told them this was the second time and that's why I kept asking questions about pricing. Please check what you are being charged for at this place. I do not recommend. We are currently visiting family in WA and drove by Nail Trix, I am a 50yr old woman who has had many mani and pedi's done in my life so far but going to Nail Trix was the best experience that I have ever had. Kammy and Vy were so friendly and sufficient. When they say the price it doesn't change by the time I pay, they have name tags, they have pretty manicured and polished nails while they are removing my gel nails. They use real hand towels than paper towels. The music was upbeat like Top 40 and the Foodnetwork was on but on mute I was just in awe and impress how really clean and neat they are.
