**lack of price transparency** I called around 4:53 PM to schedule a hard gel appointment for me and my mom. The person on the phone told me they could fit us in if we came right away, so we arrived around 5:15 PM. We ended up waiting until about 6 PM and had Kim and Michelle (who I believe is the owner) do our nails. Before starting, I explained that I wanted gel that wasn't too thick or too thin. Michelle said they had different kinds of gels, and when I asked about the prices, she told me **hard gel was $70** and **builder gel was $110**. I chose the $70 option since it was within my budget. They started our nails around 6:05 PM and finished quickly before closing at 7 PM. Both Kim and Michelle did an **amazing, phenomenal job** our nails look beautiful and professionally done. However, I was completely surprised at checkout. I had gotten hard gel with a cat-eye color, and my total came out to **$120**. I've never paid that much for a manicure before, even my Russian manicures cost less! While I understand some services can add to the price, this total felt unexpected and not clearly communicated upfront. Overall, the quality of work was excellent, but the **lack of price transparency** was disappointing. Unfortunately, because of that, I don't think I'll be returning. The experience and skill were great but the surprise pricing is something I can't justify. read more

I came in for a pedicure and a nail fix after getting my nails done somewhere else and not liking how they turned out. I told Michelle I changed my mind and didn't want to spend more money on a fix since I had already paid so much at the other place, but she kindly offered to at least reshape them to make them look slightly better. As she started to shape them, she decided to redo my whole set because she genuinely cared about how they looked and wanted me to leave happy. Michelle is such a perfectionist in the best way, her attention to detail and patience were incredible. She made sure I loved my nails every step of the way. Her staff was also so kind, helpful, and you could tell they all truly care about their work and their customers. The salon closed at 7, but they stayed over an hour and a half late just to make sure my nails were perfect. They also did an amazing job on my mom's and sister's nails. You can really feel the compassion and pride they put into what they do. I left with beautiful nails and such a grateful heart. I didn't feel afraid of germs because I noticed right away that they had on gloves and used tub covers. I was in love. The woman that did my toes, her name was Micky and she was thorough! She cleaned up and shaped my toes so dang good! I initially wanted acrylic on all of my toes but she said that's usually for bad or damage toes but because mine weren't, she didn't suggest it. So I only got it on my big toes and all the rest gel. She was very patient with me as well because I can tend to be indecisive when it comes to nails and hair hahahaha so she went through 3 gel colors changes with me and showed no attitude or irritation. We decided to come here for a mom and daughter pedicure and manicure and they were able to squeeze us in the same day and same time. Great service, clean environment and affordable price. We both got shellac mani and pedi, and it turned out beautifully. I paid $100 each for the both of us. It's a great deal for shellac and they last much longer. The technicians did a wonderful job and meticulously paid attention to details and didn't rush through it. The pedicure station was clean and plastic liners were used and thrown away after each client. It was quiet environment to enjoy , it wasn't noisy or loud with excessive talking . I never made an appointment with a specific person, yet everyone who has done my nails here has done a great job. They are worth the wait! I always get compliments on my nails. I came in this past week for a dip set and chose a color that I had not tried but thought it would look cute, however when the tech dipped my nails multiple times, the color was translucent and not at all what I was hoping for. It's in an unassuming strip mall, but the inside is clean and the employees are super kind. They had a ton of regulars coming in when I was there, which is always a good sign. I had a male nail tech and he was awesome! He was also SO gentle. I feel like it's common to get your cuticles nicked here and there during fills or full sets, but he was really good at NOT doing that. On top of just being great at his job, he was incredibly personable and conversation flowed easily. He was hilarious and made the experience really enjoyable. I got a simple French tip acrylic, so nothing too fancy, but I am happy with the job that was done and I'll be back. They're doing a great job of adhering to Covid regulations as well. read more

So I haven't gotten my classic mani/pedi yet which is $38 and $48 if you want the deluxe but I made an appointment at 11:30 and yet it's pass 12 now and I have to wait. Like what?! What's the point of making appointments if they are going to accept walk ins before me? I have came here once before like 5 years ago and they did a pretty good job. Today I decided it's time to treat myself. But I am a little ticked off I have to wait while walk ins are going before me. It could be they are regular customers but still what's the point of having appointments? Update it's 12:18 and I been soaking my feet in luke warm water for 5 minutes and because I want chrome it's $45 for mani and $25 for pedi. But I only 4 nails with chrome. Now it's 2:04 I am finally done. Ended up not doing chrome because the lady who did my nails just did my nails without chrome and gel nails polish without asking me!! I ended up paying $61 when I called and said I wanted the classic pedi/mani. I was told I was charged extra for gel nails and per nail design .There's on guy worker there who ended up cashing me out and didn't fully explain the pricing to me. But I just paid and got the hell out of there Overall the lady who did my nails was a bit older and she is sweet but I talked to 3 other employees who seems to toss me to each other. I don't do my nails often but I don't think $61 is worth it. Let's see how long it will last for it to be worth it. read more

My previous post and review was for services performed on 2/28. I went back for a second visit on 3/29/13 at 10am. I was the first customer of the day, and I had my gel nails redone, toenail polish change and an eyebrow wax. Michelle was once again my person as her Mom had not yet arrived. The only downfall was that when the person doing your nails is checking their phone to post on FB or read emails it makes you feel like you feel like you are less than important. It seems to lack professionalism to me, this did occur on the first visit. I think the quality of work is great and the shop is nice and clean it's just little things like this that turn a person off. Ended up having to come back the next day to fix my nail and the lazy lady wouldn't fix my nail properly. I had to ask the front desk lady to look at my nail and let me know if this was acceptable or not. The women returned laughing and giggling. Never apologize or even spike to me. Worst experience ever, honestly hurt my feelings more than anything. I have 4 boys, that is the time have to myself. I want to feel comfortable and know I am being taken care of. Which is not bad since most places charge more + for the shape. I went in again today and Michelle wasn't there. However the girl that did my nails today did a very good job. I called about 10 minutes prior to going in and they literally had us sitting down within seconds of walking in. No wait. They were working on us the entire time. Not on their phones or talking to each other. They also don't leave your nails super thick and chunky. I was very pleased and will be coming back. I wish they had more shellac colors. My only complaint is the selection of their nail polish were not the best brands like Essie or OPI. I feel like the better brands last longer. Since I moved in des moines I've been on a hunt for a good nail shop. I used to get my nails at renton nails and spa which is my go to place. Whenever I need a quick fill they are always willingly to work me in their busy salon, which I appreciate ALOT!!! There are alot of nail salons around where we moved and tried 3 different nail shop and all of them were horrible. My nails looked like they were rushed and did not make an effort to ask what I wanted. I make my nail apt in the morning.. But found this place (Halelluyerrrr) this place is AA+. Their service is TOPNOTCH! Right when I walked in 3 people greeted me and got me seated right away. The lady started working me in. And I was able to be done in less than 1 1/2 w/ mani & pedi.. And the result was bomb and Michelle also does marble nails which is a ++ to me since I've been looking and searching for a good nail salon that does it. And I found it.
