I had been a regular customer for about 8 months until I made an appointment a full week in advance to get a full set and pedicure before a vacation trip. I got there 20 minutes before my set appointment time and still waited an hour and 10 minutes past my appointment time. They did still do an amazing job and charged me an arm and a leg for it...no compensation for my time when they were beyond late. I feel like they could have done better. The staff down at sunflower nails is amazing. They are all extremely friendly and make the experience enjoyable. I personally always have Mai do my nails, and I've never been happier. I have always had thin brittle nails, that tend to get easily ripped off with acrylics. When I went to sunflower nails she suggested I try the powder dip. It's an absolute game changer for me! I've never had long nails now they're so long I have to get them trimmed. They last an incredibly long time and it's greatly appreciated! The color selection here is amazing. I usually come in with one color in mind and leave with something else because I love their color options better! I also get pedicures here which are one of the best I've ever had. There are multiple pedicure options all at reasonable prices. They use the bag liners in the pedicure bowl too which is always appreciated. Like any other salon, some days are busier than others. I highly recommend coming here and if your time is limited, just give them a call ahead of time and schedule an appointment. I typically love sunflower... the owner Anna is so sweet and Kim is so funny! My mom enjoys Spring cause she has sensitive feet. The only downfall is if you make an appointment, they don't turn other people away... if they show up first, before your appointment, they don't tell them "we only have time for this or that because we have an appointment at 5". so a pedicure for two people, you show up and only one gets done and the other waits. best time to get in is by calling right before you wanna come in and asking if they have time NOW for two pedicures. again, they're wonderful at what they do! but for a business, they should really accommodate appointments if they are scheduled. read more

I paid $130 for a pedi and fullset. My fullset was nothing like what I asked for I just wanted basic white coffin nails. I even showed her a picture. They were super thick and uneven the acrylic was bumpy but you can't see in the pictures. This has got to be the worst set I've ever gotten and it was a basic set. my pedi was a basic pedi with white nail polish no add ons they didn't even file my toe nails to make them look even. They didn't care about the shape or anything I had to tell her multiple times I wanted them all square because she kept leaving some rounded and other squared she did nothing to fix the shape until I spoke up. she wasn't even going to cut my toe nails never been anywhere like that before. I visited the area recently and found this gem hidden next to the albertsons next door. I had gone to another nail salon prior and they did an awful job. Luckily for me, Katie and the owner helped me with my broken acrylics. They fix them and patched the one that was broken and it looked it it never happened. This place is always busy for what I could tell but they keep the waiting times short. I heard they do amazing manis and pedis too, I'll have to come back and try them again. Also, did I mention I had a cut near my cuticle? Katie was so gentle with the drill I didn't feel a thing! She also painted my nails perfectly. The owner is super sweet and polite. I came to this place because it was close by my job. I went in, and they weren't really busy so I decided to try and get a gel polish. The woman who greeted me sat me down and showed me the colors while simultaneously taking off my regular nail polish and filing my nails. I was looking at the shellac colors they offered and didn't really see many that I was interested in. After looking for a few minutes, I asked the manicurist for suggestions and she basically said that she doesn't know what I like so was hesitant to suggest any ( I told her a neutral color that would go well with my skin tone and a glitter nail). She pointed to this ugly color, and I declined. She really made no other effort to help. I kept looking at the colors and told her I wanted a certain one but she said no because it was too light. Then, she had the nerve to rush me, and said "you need to hurry." Verbatim. There were two or three people in the salon. Regardless, that's not how you treat a paying customer. This ain't a sweat shop, things don't have to be rushed and mass produced! At that point I got up and said forget it. She said I needed to pay her for the polish remover. So I did and bounced. I called to schedule an appointment, I show up 5 minutes prior to my appointment and I sit and patiently wait for my turn. As I'm sitting there no one acknowledges me or addresses me. It wasn't until 10 minutes after another women walks in and they all immediately address her and ask her what she would like, then the main lady (I'm sorry I don't know her name) turns to me and ask me what I wanted, I let her know that I was the 5:30 appointment and she tells me that she's almost done. I see her sit down at her table and begin working on a lady. She barely began her nails. I don't mind waiting a bit because I understand that people pay to have their nails done well. But please don't schedule an appointment and then have your person show up and make them wait an entire HOUR. Acknowledging me every so often telling me that you're almost done does not make up for making a person who scheduled an appointment wait an hour long. I returned the nail colors that I chose back to the place they are displayed at and walked towards the front door and I let her know that I had scheduled the appointment so I don't have to sit and wait. Again I do not mind waiting a few minutes but an entire HOUR is just ridiculous. I honestly will not be returning to this place. Overall a horrible visit today, and it really sucks because I know they're work is good but this isn't the first time this has happened to me. Disappointing. read more

The part I like most is hearing one of the ladies say to her husband in response to him asking her why she doesn't just let the phone ring so she can finish her work, was she can't let the phone go to voicemail because of how important her customers are to her. From my personal experience, my acrylic nails have yet to pop off or separate when I get them done there. While at other places, a week after a fill my nails are getting stuck in my hair. read more

I went about 2 weeks ago and I got acrylic nails, the shape i wanted was ballerina but the women who did them gave me a oval shape and at the tip it was squared. She then told me to pick a color since I didn't get one at first, the color selection wasn't big and the colors were not really eye popping, i picked out a red color for christmas I didn't know it was going to be see through, I am not saying it's there fault but they could have done more coats. They also were poorly painted A week passes and my top coat begins peeling off, at first it wasn't a ton then all my top coats began peeling off. I came back on the 17 to get them repainted and the lady was very nice and she was focused making sure they were perfect. They are very nice workers but they don't need to rush, I pay for nice nails and for them to look nice, not for the top coat to peel off and for them to not look like they were done by a 10 year old. read more

Went in because it was close by, she filed my nails round when they were originally square, then after looking at my nails and telling her I wanted square she got pissy and fixed my nail, then after asking her to sand down two of my nails because the looked really thick on top she got even more pissy and told me "that's just the way your nails are" I asked her if she thought this color would be to light on my nails after she did one coat, and she said "Idk Ive never had this color" very stuck up and extremely horrible service, then going in a second time because I had just got off work I sit down and a different lady does my nails and I ask her if she could file a few nails down bc one hand was long than the other and she called me "picky" and was being a complete asshole. Then my nails chipped 4 days later I go in to ask if she can fix them and she's watching a video on her phone that I can see in the mirror behind her, not making eye contact with me!!
