First off let me say..If your planning to go to Nailagio it's a RESIDENCE, this is not an actual business in a strip mall. So if you don't mind going to a home residence than by all means gooo right ahead. I actually yelp'ed this place prior to going and had no problem going to a residence however I did get confused the actual entrace is on the side so it's on Chase street not Aura, so make sure you mark on Chase. There is a large black gate at the entrance. I was greeted by Judy, her place of business is located at her home which she has set up to do her nails. Judy and I had great conversation and overall I had a good experience, I didn't care too much for the hot stone pedicure, I was expecting a much more better experience but the stones were a little too hot for my liking. I also got the callus remover which was nice and it was only $5.00 other places charge $10 it's like reallly?? The gel manicure was nice as well as my pedicure. Judy definitely knows how to do some amazing designs so make sure to check out facebook for her amazing designs. So, I'm writing this review for my wife Adriane. Since my wife and I moved back to the valley four years ago, she has gone to quite a few nail salons. They're pretty much all the same. She either had to pay for every little extra, or she was rushed out for the next customer. She had decided that enough was enough and she was going to do her own nails. After searching through review after review, she decided to give Nailagio a chance. She called the number and spoke with Judy. Judy was able to fit her in the same day, and even accommodated my wife's busy commuting schedule. Nailagio is in the back of Judy's home. This may sound strange to some people until you actually see it. It's a great setup. Everything that you have ever seen in a nail salon, Judy has in her space. It's completely separate from her living quarters which makes you feel like being in a spa setting. My wife has been to see Judy at least 5 times. Every time she comes back I'm completely amazed at how great her nails look. Judy does such fantastic work! She truly is an artist. The work she does at any other salon would cost twice as much. Judy was able to take me right away on a late Sunday afternoon. She has a salon in her home, which reminded me of going with my mom to get her hair done yrs ago. Her space was clean and set up like a store front salon only there was great street parking. Judy is very personable. She was very detailed and takes time to ask what her clients like vs just providing a manicure. She was quick and thorough, and My nails look great! She also has the spa chair for pedicures, so it can easily be a nice relaxing time for you or a couple of friends. Price was very reasonable. Judy asked me to make a reservation next time to make sure I can get in. I went based on five-star Yelp reviews which I now believe are fake. This was the worst salon experience I have had. First, and worst: I got cut. Judy became more and more animated complaining about how cheap and unskilled she believes her competitors are. She got agressive with the cuticle trimming, and then I was hurt. Yes, I BLED. The towel was covered with my blood by the end of the session... I should have walked out. Afterward there was no offer to reduce the price. She did apologize, a couple of times. It is awkward to write this, and it was awkward to be in that situation. Imagine us sitting there silently, while she futilely doused my poor bleeding hand with some sort of blood stopper. Thank goodness I didn't develop an infection. But the price wasn't low to begin with, and no compensation was offered. Speaking of price, I was charged $20 to remove my gel nails. Weeks after, I still have gel on my nails. When painting them with regular polish, she used some ridge filler so it was obvious the gel hadn't come off. Again, no reduction in price for a service that was PAID for but not actually PROVIDED. So a few days later I had a band-aid on my finger, chipping polish and ragged cuticles. I would give my customary sympathy two stars for making an effort, but if you fake your 5-star reviews you deserve the full equalizing impact of the negative ones. read more

I found this place searching through yelp and I actually swung by to get a manicure and pedi. This business is at a home. So it's a good place to go to if you want some privacy. I was able to make an appointment and seen right away when I got there. The owner there is super sweet and funny. She'll sit there and listen to what you want and she does a good job! Didn't have any complaints about technique or cleanliness. I honestly don't know how she does with paint designs cause I only do simple polish colors. I would definitely recommend this place. The full set I wanted was completely different from what I have ever done. I usually do a pink&white set (french tip) but I thought I'd change it up. I have Brachydactyly which is a fancy word for clubbed thumbs. Do not freak out, they're the thumbs that Megan Fox has. Anywho, a lot of people who come in contact with my thumbs do not really know how to work on them since they are different from the thumbs they see of an everyday basis. Judy was amazing, she did everything just perfect and to my likings that I will definitely come back. After talking with Judy I found out that she used to own her own salon but after retiring she wanted to get back into it. So after traveling and doing her own thing she transformed a part of her gorgeous house into a little nail salon. Amazing. I'm a guy who has gotten a manicure, every other week, for 40 years. I don't switch manicurists often, as I was with one for 30 years and another for 8. When I do have to change, you wouldn't think so, but I found it extremely difficult and frustrating to find someone who could simply give a clean, cuticles cut manicure.
