This was my first visit to Nailed! The receptionist was very friendly and kind. I didn't have to wait for my nail tech. She got right to it and did a great job! I got a quick pedicure, so I think I was only sitting there for 30-40 minutes. But I cannot handle those seats / benches or whatever they are. They were very uncomfortable and to try and make up for that they put a pillow behind your back which really seemed to make things worse for me. The salon itself is beautiful and the staff is very sweet and lovely, so I feel bad even writing this review, however the work I received is nowhere near worth the price! I am not picky when it comes to my nails, but the hard gel was stuck overlapping my skin and uncomfortable. One of my nails is super thick and globby and lifting up from my nail. This place is something else. First of all, the vibe that you feel entering through the door is so positive, feminine and just great. The people that works there, they are SO NICE! I will start by saying I rarely EVER give 1 star, you can check my past reviews. This place is an absolute mess.. Operationally, and esthetically. Dirty floors, broken soda machine leaking all over the place, nail polish all over the walls trash from un broken down boxes. My main issue is that my appointment started 34 minutes late with no apology or solution. They had 3:00 appointments starting before my 2:30. Very limited color selection in comparison to most salons. Thankfully I was just getting a pedicure I would NEVER get a waxing service or facial from here. The girl who did my appt was kind and did a fine job unfortunately the other areas overshadowed this. Last- When checking out I had wanted to tip in cash and they didn't have change for a 20, I was able to leave a tip on my card but just another inconvenience at every single point of the service. Really really poor service: customer service and quality of nail techs. It was very clear from the time you walk in the door that they could not care less about you being there, inconvenienced even. This place is completely overpriced and caught them trying to charge me more multiple times--Very sketchy place. I called to see if I could be 10 minutes late and the front desk lady was so rude about the simple yes or no question, reminding me curtly of their 24 hour cancellation policy. it was like she wanted me to cancel my appointment so they could leave early. It has spread all over my legs and some areas of my body. This is a very serious issue. Unfortunately, poorly maintained equipment and tools will contaminate the water and pass the bacteria to clients. The rashes have been very painful, itchy, sore, and they have progressed to large red rashes with pus-filled bumps that are extremely tender and embarrassing. I want to make sure nobody else end up like me and be aware of my terrible experience. I had a very odd experience at Nailed. I came with a friend and we were taken back for our appointment, they started with removing my gel. They wrapped my fingers and shortly after, Frankie (my nail tech), started removing my gel. About halfway through the gel removal process Frankie gets up and leaves, with 4 of my nails still wrapped and soaking in acetone. I wait about 10 minutes and lean over to my friend and joke "where did Frankie go?" We keep talking and laughing, my fingers start to get a little soar because they are still soaking in acetone, and after 20 additional minutes I say to my friends nail tech "where is Frankie" and she says "I have no idea, let me go check it out." She leaves to see what's going on. Keep in mind my friend is completely done with his manicure and I have been waiting for 35 minutes with half my nails wrapped and soaking in chemicals this whole time. Suddenly another tech sits down and starts my manicure. Turns out Frankie straight up left and started another customers pedicure. He never said ANYTHING! He never said "sorry, I'll have to find someone else to work on you I have another appointment, or so and so is gonna take over for me." He just left and he literally NEVER CAME BACK! I never spoke to him the rest of my time at Nailed. Amy took over, granted she did some excellent work, but I could tell she was a little annoyed. The whole mess made her quite late for her next appointment and my manicure took a while but she did do a great job. The kicker is, I had to clarify when I paid that my tip would go to Amy. I almost tipped Frankie for terrible service if I hadn't said anything. So I'm conflicted on if I want to return or not. I love my nails and was very happy with the work that was ultimately done, but I have no idea what the hell was going on with Frankie. I think I'll go back, but I would just request to not have him be my nail tech. I'm sure he does great work ( I honestly wouldn't know as he disappeared after 10 min with me) but he needs to be trained on common courtesy and some customer service skills. It was very strange. Like, just tell me something, literally anything. What did he think was going to happen, I would just unwrap my fingers and leave. It also seems very rude and inconsiderate to your coworkers, did he just assume someone else would clean up his mess and take care of it. Super selfish if you ask me, he put my friends nail tech in an awkward position trying to solve the situation, and inconvenienced my new tech with messing up her whole schedule. He just left. I cannot complain too much because my friend had an extra Groupon so my mani/pedi cost very little. However, I feel inclined to leave a review since they did not do a good job. Don't get me wrong the place itself is very nice and clean, but the service left much to be desired. My girl did an okay job on my toes, but it was nothing I couldn't have done myself. My real issue was with my gel nails. As you can see in the pictures they are very sloppy and the thumbs are not even completely painted. She also cut me twice while clipping my cuticles. Overall I was very disappointed in my experience and would have no reason to go here over a cheaper place that will do a better job. I think This was one of the worst mani/pedi I had. The place is nice, clean and fancy, but the mani/pedi itself isn't worth the price! I have been here two times. The first was so so. I was not happy, but I thought it might because of the specific person who did it. Then I purchased a second mani / pedi through Groupon. She didn't clean the cuticles at all. When I asked for it, she said she'll do it after she finishes the gel application (which is surprising, but I thought - maybe that's something new). And then she put oil on my cuticles and finished. Cute nail and hair salon this is their second location! They have another location on 700 East. This specific location has only been opened since October but it is AMAZING. This location also offers hair services which is pretty awesome and they have such a nice salon with Kevin Murphy products. My friend Shanna is awesome and does hair AND nails here. I've gotten a pedicure here and everything was top notch done by Shanna. This salon has a boutique too so its so cute, you can walk around and shop while your hair or nails are processing, my favorite part! Nailed is right, as in, they sure nailed me with a high fee for a terrible pedicure. I made an appointment a couple days ahead of time for after work so I could get a pedicure with my mom for her birthday. Our appointment was at 7pm. We arrive 5 minutes early and began to pick out our polish color as the employees were finishing with a couple other clients. Once they were done I was still deciding between two colors and one of the employees came over and rudely told us to get to our chairs. The water was cool, so we asked for it to be warmed up. The one woman obviously was tired or hates her job. I don't expect these women to carry a conversation with us, but they seemed like they wanted nothing to do with us. They trimmed and shaped the nails, which I have never had anyone just cut parts of my nails, not the whole thing when shortening the length. She barely shaped the nail when she was finished. A little scrub and minimal cuticle pushing, I was back in he water and then prepped for the polish. She did seem to do a thorough job prepping the nails, so I hope this terrible polish job lasts a little longer. The lighting was bad in there, the sunlight was coming in at their backs through the garage door and perhaps casting a shadow while she painted my nails. It was glopped on thick and uneven. She did spend time cleaning the edges. I knew upon closer inspection that it would look bad, but this was my mom's gift and I didn't want to say anything, hence why I am on yelp telling you my experience. I tipped them when I paid my bill. I must be getting soft in my old age, because nothing deserved a tip for that pedicure. They didn't even preform their jobs satisfactorily. And especially not well enough for a tip. The value of this pedicure to me was $15, not the $38 they charge. Please go somewhere else. Not here. This is not worth your time and especially not your hard earned money. You deserve a great pedicure that you walk out of the salon feeling relaxed and great about how you toes are going to look in sandals. read more

I first did a pedicure and while the service was great, it was everything but relaxing. The pedicure seats are located next to the 'hair salon' so for an hour I heard blow driers and people screaming over them to talk to one another. I had a headache and had a bad day so I decided to treat myself to something 'relaxing' unfortunately, this missed the mark. Then I moved over to the manicure station, this was further from the blow driers so a little more peace. My manicure turned out good. My only complaint was the old nail polish that was stringy so she had a hard time making it nice and smooth. That wasn't her fault and she did her best. Three days later I see this pink dot on my keyboard and it turns out to be my nail polish. Nicely intacted but completely off my nail. I wasn't going to leave a review but felt this was something that people looking for a new nail salon should know. Just to preface, I have a regular technician that does my nails but decided to try somewhere closer to my house. I made an appointment a few days before I came in. I had a couple layers of Luminary gel and a regular gel top coat when i came in. When I got there, 4 employees were at the front desk chatting. They waited until they finished their conversation to greet me. I told them I had an appointment and the receptionist asked what it was for. He turned to the 3 ladies he was chatting with earlier and asked if any of them wanted to do my service and they acted like I wasn't there. The first 2 said "No I dont want to" and the last one said said "I mean I can", so she went to the back to set up a station. 10 minutes later, she took me back. She started putting foils on my nails and seemed angry/upset. I had a couple layers of Luminary on my nails and she said she didn't want to remove them all the way because it would take longer than she had. So she left old gel on my nails that had soaked in Acetone for 20 minutes. She asked what color I wanted and I asked if she could do a simple nail design. She looked skeptical and informed me that she wasn't a nail tech, she was an esthetician and couldn't do everything a nail tech could. Why was she doing my nails if she wasn't a nail tech? I felt awkward and unwelcome but didnt want to be rude and leave with my nails half done. When she was finshed, My nails were bumpy and kinda squishy from the uneven layer of gel on the bottom that wasnt fully removed. practically crumbled off within the next week leaving my nails brittle and thin. If I didn't want a nail tech to do my nails, I would've painted my nails myself. read more

Sadly they do not massage your legs or feet here! My friend and I went together and neither of us had more than a three minute massage on our legs and feet! That is one of the reasons I get pedicures. I can paint my nails just fine, but I can't massage my legs that well So sadly, that is why I gave it only a two star rating. I purchased a groupon for a service here (I've been here twice before and would only go again with a groupon because their services aren't good enough to pay full price). When I called to make an appointment they told me that they were accepting groupons... but I had already purchased it and it wasn't set to expire for another month. So I asked how they could sell something and not honor it and the employee had no idea how to answer that. She told me she was going to ask her manager but never got back to me. Went to have a pedicure on vacation last week on Thursday and the next day 3 of my toes polish peeled off and it's now Sunday they have all peeled off. Looking at my toenails they aren't even cut or filed. I'm not sure how they justify $38 for a 30 minute pedicure. read more

Everyone was really kind and friendly. I was just a tad disappointed to pay $35 for a pedicure that took 20 minutes and they barely massaged or scrubbed our feet. I just had the ultimate pedi here this morning as a little treat to myself for Mother's Day. I wish I could remember the girls name that was my tech, because this was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had. The exfoliating scrub, the massage, everything! She explained the two different treatments I could choose from and the paraffin wax mask was a dream! My polish looks great! The space is so cute and modern with warm accents like pillows and art. I'll start with the positive. Cute space. Great choice of colors. I could even look past no massage chairs if I felt the experience justified the cost. Went 3 times. First time had an experienced lady who primarily works at the original location. Did a great massage, very good pedicure and even removed a hangnail that was causing me trouble. Next 2 times went way downhill. Both were very young and seemed to not want to "clean" out the sides of my nails. Second time was a pedicure. No clean out around the sides of my nails. A small massage. Ok paint job. Third time was a gel manicure. Worst of all! Crazy file job, left me with a TON of hangnails, and no massage!? Yet the girl next to me got one??
