Ari did such an amazing job on my nails, I told her I wanted to keep it natural looking and that's exactly what she did. Pleasantly surprised by this one. I had an hour to kill and was in need of a regular manicure. I was able to find this location tucked in a corner off of Skokie blvd. It's very low-key and easy to miss. I will say there are no signs anywhere for pricing but figured it wouldn't be too over the top. They were able to squeeze me in and were very pleasant. 15.00 for a regular manicure with a massage and hot towel to the hands (some places will give you a small neck/back massage) For the time span I had with no appointment and how willing they were to accommodate myself and the rest of the guests that walked in, I took notice to the well-staffed and well managed salon. Susan was helpful and noticed I messed up my nails while drying. I told her id be fine and hate to bother her but she gladly redid them for me ; so sweet! read more

UPDATE: almost 2 months and no peeling or sides lifting up! WOW. Heidi is a true artist. I couldn't be more happy with the level of talent, detail, and service from her. Also the staff was friendly. The elderly lady next to me and her nail technician were having a great ole time. I was in town for the weekend and needed to get my nails done for a wedding. I ended up getting a mani, pedi, and eyelash extensions from her. She is so meticulous and took the extra time on my nails and my lashes. MY LASHES. She really killed it. My mom said I looked like a new woman leaving the salon. I didn't know whether to take that as a compliment or not... anywho... For my mani, I found a picture on Pinterest that I wanted replicated and I LOVE how it turned out. They also had Parafin wax (had to google what it was because I had never experienced this before at other salons) included and now my heels feel smoooooth. I'm on my feet for 12+ hours for work so I have really busted feet. Visit Heidi you will not be disappointed. I wish I lived in Chicago but will make a visit if I'm ever in the area. I have been going to Spa Nail City for several years and it was always a good and dependable manicure/pedicure experience. Now, that it has new owners, it has evolved into a lovely looking day spa with some wonderful new services available. I have started to get dip powder manicures with Heidi that are amazing. They will easily stay on for three weeks before I need to have a new manicure. I love the pedicures which are relaxing and the polish stays on for many weeks. My nails hve never looked so good and the no chip truly lasts 2+ weeks. They offer complimentary bottled water and Lacroix which is a nice touch. You walk in and the lady at the front desk barely greets you. No smile or eye contact. Ok that's fine, bad day I get it. Pick out my no-chip color and matching regular chip pedi color.. hmm the colors have the same name but don't look the same in the bottle. Strange, maybe it changes under the light machine. A rushed pedi takes place. Mani is completed by a kind technician, that's good. I look around and notice how dusty the entire place is, the furniture is falling apart. No music, no tv, just mindless observations taking place. I pay and leave and notice how the two colors are COMPLETELY different, kind of wish someone would have noticed and advised me. Get to my car to see that polish is on my cuticles and several nails are slanted, bummer. I go on vacation the next day and the day after two nails begin chipping BAD. I get home (it's been 5 days now) and I can literally peel them off myself. These usually last me 3 weeks. I go back in, they fix the 2 nails, but the colors are now off from the other nails. I give up. FYI - the salon across the street is the polar opposite of this place. So clean and friendly. No-chips last weeks. Check it out. The end. read more

My no-chip starting peeling after 3 days. So they told me to come back. The lady told me the manicure didn't last because of my nails. She refused to accept responsibility for her work. Now the second time around the no-chip has started peeling again after 3 says. The problem is she doesn't let the nails dry long enough in between coats. The manicure took 30min. Do yourself a favor and go someplace that isn't rushing to get you out. What a waste! read more

Not happy with results. The manicurist worked so fast that my feet just don't feel as if they received the attention I usually get from my regular manicurist at Heavenly Massage. My nails on my hands are already chipping after one day. So disappointed at the sloppy job!! Speed seems to be the operative word not good workmanship. I will not return. read more

I was very impressed with how lovely and inviting the staff was, and loved my nails. I've been frequenting this boutique now for three months now, and it recently switched over to new management.
