Writing this review at least three weeks since I have my nails done and they are holding up great! I made an appointment in advance. However, when I arrived, I had to wait a few minutes and when I was finally seated to get my nails done, but the gentleman was fixing drinks for other guests. I had to say something to the young lady at the reception desk with regard to getting started on my nails. The vibe was fair, but I requested a certain type of nail and the gentleman mentioned another type of product that would help make my nails stronger. So, I went with that one. However, he didn't tell me he was going to cost me $90 versus $45. Being upfront with the price of your services or providing a person with your list of services with the prices on them is the right thing to do, especially since this was my first time being in your establishment. I will definitely go back to this establishment, but since the price of the nails was so expensive, I would only get my nails done at this location and get my toes done at another location that's more reasonable. read more

Maria did my nails today. I love my nails. I'm a simple girlie and she delivered. One of my nails broke and was super short. She built out the acrylic overlay to match the rest. You can't hardly tell. She paid so much attention to detail. She really examined my nails closely. I love that. I'll be coming back for her to do my nails. The staff was very nice and professional. My Japanese collagen pedicure was definitely worth the price and the time. Rosy did a great job with dealing with my ingrown and my highly ashy heels. I have been here many times and had a good experience almost every time. However today I had a terrible experience. Ty did my full set today and was so incredibly rude. He was rushing, didn't allow me to pick my color, was rough and did a bad job. I had to ask him to clean under my nails at the end because he left huge globs of glue, and he acted very confused and annoyed and did a very minimal job cleaning after asked. He also got out the oil and hot towels and after I asked him to clean the glue under my nails he didn't use them and went to the next client. I had to use the oil myself on the way to the pedicure chair. It is not the client's fault if the salon overbooks, and a super rushed and half-done service with and attitude is not acceptable when I am paying significant money for it. I always tip and am kind. He also rushed the curing time, prep and paint job, and if this doesn't last I will expect the salon to make it right. It is not okay. read more

I was visiting from out of town and chose this salon because of the great reviews. I arrived around 4:45pm the day before Valentine's Day and was greeted right away. The atmosphere was nice and although they were busy, it was expected. Angie did my Gel X set and she was friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed speaking with her and my nails turned out beautiful. I had also requested a Japanese pedicure. As it got closer to closing, I was told I could still get my toes done. However, when my pedicure started around 7:00pm, the technician seemed rushed. I later realized I was given a regular pedicure instead of the Japanese pedicure I requested and was told I couldn't receive it because I'm pregnant. The service felt hurried, I received only a very brief massage, and I left after being there for over three hours. While I'm happy with my nails, I'm disappointed in my pedicure experience, especially since my gel polish has already chipped after only two days. I absolutely love this nail salon. The prices are reasonable but still had a nice aesthetic vibe to it. I generally never make an appointment or request anyone specific and have never been unhappy with my nails. All the women here are so talented and kind! My only criticism would be with their new complementary drink service. It's very small, which is why I'm not taking away stars, but it seems they need to be a bit more organized. They recently started offering one complementary beverage to every client with alcoholic and nonalcoholic options. The last two times I've been it has either taken a very long time to get that drink or they have forgotten it completely. It seems like they just need to figure out whose responsibility that is so that there is a smoother process for clients. where do I begin?? So i picked a color that was a pale sea-glass blue, they came out white. It was just a builder gel fill.i came in with the exact shape i wanted already on my nails, they were just grown out, and I communicated that to Mula the technician. somehow they came out with an entirely different shape and they are like a 1/4 inch thick. Some of them are crooked which blows my mind as they weren't crooked when i came in. Theres hardened gel and polish under the fingernails. There wasnt even an attempt to clean that up. Ill have to file that down myself or pay someone to fix it. I was shocked when she started putting cuticle oil on them as if she was done. are you kidding me? There's splotchy polish on the tips and around cuticles. I sat in that chair for 2hours and its an absolute ugly mess. Its so bad. I will post the photos so you can see im not being dramatic. This is a efficient nail salon on the southside of Charlotte. They have plenty of parking in the share parking lot. The staff were friendly and greeted me upon entering. I didn't have an appointment, but they were easily able to see me and provide the services I desired. I came on a weekday in the afternoon. They were able to locate the polish wanted. They have a system where they keep track electronically and you sign in upon entering. It appears that they were hygienic. I only received a manicure. I was offered a beverage. I just went to NailGo because I saw on their website that they take off gel nail polish for $5 and it says (w/o gel service) **spoiler this was not the case. This made me super excited because I have not found prices like this in Charlotte. I was also excited to make this my new place but after my experience I will not be coming back. I sat down and after about 7 minutes of starting the process of getting my gel off my nail tech left. She did not say where she was going and I sat there for 15 minutes just waiting. Every time I have gotten my gel off in the past it takes less than 15 minutes so this was disappointing. The whole appointment took over 35 minutes after she came back. I then go to pay and they are telling me that I owe them over $10. This came as a shock to me and I showed them what I read online but they told me I had to get two services and one of them be the gel removal to get that price. This was very frustrating and they were not willing to work with me. So if you are going here know you will have to pay $10 to get your nails off even though online it says $5... First of all, I payed too much for my nails to be chipping with gel polish, It's been 4 days... It's like they rush you out of here. My nails aren't evenly shaped, my polish has air bubbles. I'm really frustrated about this experience. However, I'm going to weave in all of the positives because you may have a better experience than I did. I'm also going to be through because I'm not that experienced of a nail client. Front desk was very nice and helpful-from beginning to end! I brought a photo in with a concept idea for my nails. I don't get my nails done regularly and expressed that my plan was to make that happen this year. #selfcareplans2022 I was told Mai would be working with me. After showing her the pic and discussing my plans, she suggested I try acrylic tips to create an evenness. I explained to her that I get my nails done about five times a year and that I was hoping to get started with a plan that would move me through the year. I told her I had never had tips before or acrylic and was open to suggestions. She explained that I would come in and get fill-ins and if they are done correctly, you get fill ins for maybe 4 to 5 times and then have the whole set removed and start over. When she finished with my pedicure I remember thinking: did she trim the cuticles on both feet? Anyhow, we were chatting and I forgot to ask her. Turned out she did not do one foot. When finished with my manicure (which looked amazing and I was so excited), I asked if there was anyway she could help with where I could feel so much glue under the nails-especially where I could feel my skin stuck to it. At this point she seemed rushed and quickly said: I got you-I got you...She then proceeded to clip my skin with cuticle clippers which hurt! Before she departed she said: if do you have any problems with them, let us know! I think her and took her a solid 20% after I found out the bill was over $100. I would like to mention that before I went for this nail appointment I had spent time during the month to read articles on how to best protect the nails and keep them healthy; I wanted to know how to properly take care of them and make them last as they are meant to. Exactly one week after the nail appointment, I looked down and one of my nails was just missing. I never felt a thing! I have had SNS before, been too busy to get back and have them redone, and felt them begin to lift and tug all my nail bed when getting caught on things. Likely you know it is not a very comfortable experience. I called the store and they told me to come in and scheduled me with the same tech. When I arrived at that scheduled time they told me she was not available. A tech named Jill came to do the repair and was pretty rough with the drill on my fingernail. However, she noticed that I had a ton of glue goofed up underneath all of my fingernails and took a small Dremel and drilled it out. This allowed my nail tip of finger junction to finally breather after a week! I had kept meaning to call my friend who gets acrylics and ask her if this is a common thing. I did call after I had the nail repair and she said absolutely not. That it was pure laziness or lack of knowledge on my tech's part.The shape Jill repaired was not nearly similar to what Maeya had accomplished previously. Interestingly, two weeks to the day of having my nails done I lost another nail in the exact same manner. I called the store and spoke to the manager. He told me that it was unusual for me to lose them so quickly. But without seeing them he would not be able to know whether or not it was my nails causing the problems, my care for the nails, or the tech's application. He suggested I come back in and show them to someone at the front desk and let them know I had spoken with him. Less than two hours later, I put my hand in my pocket and pulled it out and noticed that another nail was missing. It was in my pocket! It is not three weeks away from my appointment and the photos show how many nails have come off just like that! Save your money and find a really good nail tech! I've had it and I am going to pay a little more so that I have guaranteed better service and build a relationship with someone who cares. read more

It was calm, not too busy, and they had a SZA music video playing on the TVs; I thought "this is gonna be my place." I checked in on an iPad at 1 pm and was greeted by an employee who confirmed my name and appointment time. She offered me a beverage and gestured towards the waiting area. At 1:25, the same gal came back to confirm the service and then left again. She returned 5 minutes later and showed me to pedicure chair. I wasn't going to do this, I was going to leave one review knowing that the owner of this establishment would respond however what I didn't expect was that the owner would react with such an attitude. first of all, I was referred to this salon by a colleague so I did my research on the level of service and saw how they have designer stickers for nails so I was amped to go when I got there I was greeted professionally and was seated by a sweet tech. I told her what I wanted and how I wanted it done I mentioned to her that I wanted a Chanel sticker design so I picked out the sticker I wanted she did my nails very well "a little shorter than what I normally do" but it's okay I can manage she then told me before adding the stickers that they were $5.00 each I nodded and said that's fine. So I did the math excellent $45.00 for a mani isn't that bad with a $10 tip (CASH) however when I got to the register I was told $52.50 I asked WOAH what did I get? He then explained while eating a cookie, the manicure was $35.00, $5.00 for the two Chanel stickers, and $5.00 for each finger because I asked for the Matte top coat. I responded and said I was never told that the Matte top coat would be an additional charge for each finger he did apologize with FOOD in his mouth AND as I proceeded to pull my card out he told me that there was an additional card fee because they charge a service fee for using their card machine. so I responded "there's a card fee? he responded yes, it's on our door and next time bring cash. this entire transaction was mind-boggling and when I voiced my opinion on google review you get an attitude in text form? by saying. (". We apologize if you felt like that's expensive but this is typical pricing for these services at any area nail salon and some places will even charge more. Our shop has competitive pricing and does great work. We have the pricing posted in our pamphlets and on our website for any of our available services. Our employees will gladly explain the pricing if asked. However, they are not obligated to state the price to you before every service you are requesting to do.")
