I come here often when I want to get my nails done and each time has been great. Everyone is so friendly, kind and really do a great job. It is clean, relaxing and comfortable. Today really stood out to me with my experience and their customer service and really taking their product/work seriously. I picked a bright pink (it was a brand new color) and it looked great but a little while after leaving the salon the color started to turn purple with markings (very odd). I called and told them what happened and sent photos and they said to come back and they would fix it. I arrived about 6:15 and waited, no problem they were busy. When it was my turn everyone was so kind and made sure I liked my new color, checked in and never rushed even though it was past closing and I'm sure everyone wanted to go home. They helped each other and it was a great vibe and teamwork. I am grateful for a place that stands by their product and wants to fix anything that may happen. Highly recommend this place! read more

Came by for a gel manicure before a wedding. First of all, the color came out much lighter than on the model. I'm not sure if this was because it was a more sheer color and I only had two coats done, or if the bottle they used was straight up the wrong one. The manicure also chipped on day two which I was really bummed about. I would've gone back for a repair, but I was already out of town. Luckily because the color barely showed up on my nails it was hard to tell. I choose this spot because they have a healthcare worker discount which made it cheaper than other places, but I guess you get what you pay for. read more

I've been to this salon a few times before and had a good experience with getting gel manicures and regular pedicures. So, I returned for a new full set. This experience was a ok. I shared a photo of what I wanted which was oval French tip. After setting the shape I asked for almond shape as the oval didn't suit my fingers. After completing the set I was shocked at how the nail tech left them and wanted to leave immediately. To me, this was a messy set (photos attached). The French tip was overly thick (after asking for it to not be thick), polish residue left on fingers and under nail. I arrived when the salon open and there were no customers so it was not a matter of being rushed. This is not the first time I've left feeling like my mani or pedi could have been improved. For the quality and cost increase, it will most likely be the last time I return. read more

This was my first time here based on a recommendation from a friend. When I arrived the manger (I believe) was arguing with a customer about a discrepancy on services. That was alarming and I honestly didn't like how he was responding to her. I still proceeded with getting my nails done because I was preparing for my baby shower the follow day. I was a walk-in getting SNS on my nails by Rosie and a "signatural" pedicure from John. They worked together to get my services done quickly. Rosie was nice and she really took her time to get the design right. The pedicure was okay. I will say, John did a good job with the massage portion. Unfortunately, my toenail smudged somehow two days later. Overall, this was more expensive with than my usual place in South Park and I wasn't impressed enough to return. I don't understand all the good reviews. This was not a good manicure. I walked in and was seen right away, which was nice. Terri did my nails very quickly, but the owner kept hovering, standing over Terri with her hands on her shoulders - that was odd. All of the nail polishes I checked out were filled with thinners - I could smell it. They do not have proper nail dryers - you just sit by a dinky fan and wait for your nails to dry. Two hours after my manicure, the polish still reeked of chemicals and was rubbery, and came off in a spot when I bumped up against something. I have a feeling this was a waste of $20. I prefer Tiptoe or La Pure Organic. I'll make the trip out of Dilworth next time. read more

First and foremost, the women who worked on me were really nice! But the $75 price tag for a signature mani/pedi (no gel polish or anything) was not worth it. Let me tell you what this signature mani/pedi did not include that I'm used to at other nail salons: - no nice towels. Towels felt scrappy/raggedy and thin. - no hot stones - not enough attention to detail. My feet still have lots of rough spots/dry skin. The pumice scrub portion was short-lived. My fingers still have dead skin surrounding the nails. - no hand warming mittens - no drying station - no selection of fragrance - nothing other than a pumice stone, scrub and lotion for a signature pedicure. I think for the price, there should be something else like a paraffin wax dip (at least) I'm just upset that there was nothing "extra" even though I dropped $75 (not including tip) for a mani/pedi. That's usually how much I pay for a gel mani/signature pedi. I'm willing to pay the money, but the services need to be worth it. Here, they are not currently worth the price tag. read more

The prices were very reasonable and my daughter got beautiful designs done for a small extra price. The service was fast and everyone working was incredibly sweet. A stand-out moment was when we were asked if we wanted more layers of polish done during our pedicures to make sure that we were satisfied. I wasn't paying as much attention as I should have since I was upset I had to pay for a new tire . Anyways...my gel polish is thin, lumpy and my nails are misshapen. The man at the check in/register is extremely nice and accommodating. The wait was not long though they seemed packed. That's the only reason two stars were given. They up sold me on the pedicure to do the volcano pedicure which was $75 but normally $85. I was originally doing the $55 pedicure but I accepted it. The experience was not worth the extra $20. They also convinced me to do a manicure (I'm an easy target) and I got a manicure with sns powder. The woman cut my cuticles too deep on three fingers to the point of bleeding. She used an electric nail file and took off too much of my nails that it was hurting so I had her switch to a regular file. I wish i could rate this salon higher because i was very excited to try it, however both me and my friend left disappointed. We went as a walk in for pedicures and full set and were taken back immediately. The pedicures went great and weren't too pricey. However, once we got to the nails it took a turn. I showed the nail tech a simple french tip design which she honestly butchered. She used clear coating on the underpart so you can literally see my real nail underneath. On top of that she was sitting there bargaining under her breath about the price (and kept changing the price while doing my nails?) my friends nails turned out uneven, and not close to what she asked for. When she addressed this with the nail tech he gave her attitude stating "this is what she asked for" (it was not CLOSE to what she asked for). I was looking for a new nail salon that was close and professional. I found it at nail bar! It's tucked away in a strip small on park road. Look for Famous Toastery and you'll find it. I went on a Saturday around 10 am and i was nervous bc that is typically peak hours. They greeted me immediately. They only had a couple of people getting serviced. I was sat down and they helped me pick out a color. Their pedicure packages were great and not too expensive. They did offer a drink, like other salons, but i declined. During my service, many people walked in and they had enough staff on hand to accommodate the walk ins and the appointments. My nail tech was polite and we had just enough conversation. I've tried so many nail salons in Charlotte and this one is by far the most consistent. The techs are super nice, recognize you by name and are great at what they do. Almost everyone here has done my nails but I schedule with Emily, the manager, because I'm a little particular and she's got an amazing eye for detail. The shop itself is beautifully decorated, comfortable, lots of seating for both manis and pedis. Nail salon is nice and new on the inside. Unfortunately they murder you on the price. A regular pedicure is $28 which seems totally normal. Add gel polish, fork up another $25 on top of the pedicure charge. I've never experienced a salon up-charging the cost of a manicure for gel polish on a pedicure. The girl doing my nails took her time, but I really appreciated the close attention to detail. At the end when I was handed my bill I was surprised to see that it was $40. I paid and tipped because I was happy with the job done, but was still shocked at the higher price because I was really expecting it to be $30. My manicure looks great, and I'm really happy with the way my nails turned out. However, $40 for just a refill seems a little steep when I've even been able to get a full set for less elsewhere in the past. I'd definitely be back if I could afford it. read more

2 stars because the first time I came here, they did an outstanding job. My gel manicure came out perfectly and lasted over 2 weeks. The second time, I had scheduled an appointment for a gel manicure. I had to get my previous nails from the first time soaked off. Asked for short nails and the woman doing them just filed them down instead of cutting them, which I thought was odd. The rest of the manicure went fine. I paid and realized it was $5 extra to soak off the previous gel, which I've never been charged for before at other salons unless it was a standalone soak off. I got to my car and realized all of my nails were unevenly filed, some spots on my nails were missing paint, and they just looked terrible. I was gonna wait it out to see if it was just the first couple of hours and the manicure still being fresh, but it just got worse and worse. Right now it's only been 5 days since I got it, and 2 nails have already peeled off!! I'll be finding another salon which is a real shame since the first manicure went so well! read more

My friend and I decided to come in on a Saturday morning. We called ahead of time and the owner said that he had a walk-in available so we came right away. I'm not sure if it was because we were Asian, but everyone else that came behind us were taken care of first. The male owner told us he'd take care of us - which I did not mind at all...but as I watched him do my friend's nails I realized he was not that skilled. He was rushing and running around getting people drinks and taking payments as he was doing our nails. After he finished my friend's nails I decided to just do a general manicure and polish because I knew if I did did the gel and didn't like it, it would be more difficult to take off. He seemed disappointed and rushed through mine - didn't even cut my cuticles, just filed my nails and then painted it. Then he touched my polish accidentally with a napkin and didn't even realize it until I asked him to repaint it. He sighed and then repainted it and it was still terrible. Overall, my nails came out terrible - I could've done this at home with generic nail polish and a filer. I payed $18, gave tip because I knew they had good intentions as a business but just really rushed through us. I'm sure the other nail technicians would've done a great job, just went on a bad day and had a bad experience. read more

We made a reservation and nevertheless ended up waiting 45 minute for a technician. I had asked for a mani/pedi and only got a pedi because my technician was only qualified to do feet. WHAT???? I waited another 30 mins while my friend was having their manicure and gave up. As we were paying, the guy asked if I would mind hanging around for a bit longer.... NO!!!
