Prior to my appointment, I had never experienced this issue, and shortly after the service I began experiencing itching, peeling skin, and irritation between my toes. As a customer, I trust that salons follow proper sanitation and disinfection protocols to protect their clients' health and safety. Developing a fungal infection after a pedicure has been both frustrating and concerning, as it has required treatment, caused discomfort, and impacted my daily routine. While I understand that infections can occur for various reasons, customers should be able to feel confident that tools, foot baths, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between clients. I hope management takes this matter seriously, reviews its sanitation procedures, and ensures that proper infection-control practices are consistently followed to prevent other customers from having a similar experience. I wanted to share my experience so that others can make informed decisions and so the salon has an opportunity to address these concerns. I was scared to post as I have seen the owner comment back in other comments where the similar situation happened to other clients here and him stating that they probably got it wrong elsewhere. Butttt I need to speak the truth.

I've been a loyal customer at this salon for over a year, but I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of their work, especially after my recent visit. I came in last Thursday for a gel manicure with a technician I had seen before, who had previously fixed my nails after a bad job from another staff member. She did a fantastic job, but unfortunately, within just a day, four of my nail colors started peeling. I called the salon, and they were kind enough to fit me in for a same-day appointment. Another technician re-did the damaged nails and even re-buffed the others, which initially left me satisfied. However, just a few days later, the color on my index finger started peeling off again, and of course, I couldn't get it fixed because of the Thanksgiving holiday. This whole experience has left me upset and annoyed. I now feel the need to search for a different salon, and I won't be recommending this place to my friends and family anymore. It's disappointing to see a place I once trusted fall short in quality. Knowing this location, I wouldn't expect the manager to reach out. November 2024 read more

I have been a loyal customer at Naillywood for many years. Now that they closed their doors at Tarzana location I started to go to Porter Ranch location. It it far from my house but completely worth the drive. There is no one better at what they do than Ann an Dana. Ann was my manicurist at Tarzana and when she moved to Porter Ranch, I followed. I am very picky and no one else goes that extra step to make me feel like a princess. I every other salon I ever went to I always felt ridiculous asking for even the simplest adjustments. Ann and Dana make it their job to make sure you are happy with your mani/pedi. read more

Long overdue compliments for the beautiful salon itself: very clean, stylish decor, any/every nail polish and treatment, and super nice and helpful staff. I especially want to compliment my longtime manicurist Lisa! Lisa is so meticulous and detail oriented, my manicure and pedicure always feels so good and lasts so long. She takes care to shape and trim the nails the way I like which is very important to me. I usually can go four weeks between appointments and my nails still look great. Horrible Horrible Horrible gel manicure /pedicure done. No professionalism noted with initial nail prep. She went two rounds from scratch to have nails painted. My 5 year old would have done much better job. I was there 2 hours 20 min on a Mother's Day. Definitely that was not the way I wanted to spend my day. The worst part, by next day, I had 3 nails chipped. Never had such an experience. Definitely will not go back and will not recommend anyone to go. read more

Worst customer service ever. There are a lot of nail places around go somewhere else. I asked how much a service was and than after it was over they changed the price and said oh we "didn't know" I'm sorry don't tell me a number and than conveniently change it. If you tell me a number and you make a mistake that's on you not me. I'm more disappointed in how the person handled it. I hope losing a customer was worth a 10 increase in my charge. read more

However, the technician was extremely rough with my nails, and the salon itself felt very lackluster. Instead of using foils or a fresh soak to remove my HARD builder gel nails, she had me place my hands in a bowl of acetone that looked like it had been used by multiple customers--it was cloudy with dust and other particles floating in it. Not only did that feel very unsanitary and plain gross, but it made my hands and nails feel so weak and brittle. I felt so uncomfortable between just soaking my hands in the dirty acetone and filing (she did this routine 3-4 times for both hands), but even after all that my nails weren't fully clean. After I got home I realized there was still gel on my nail beds. If this was just my experience with removal, I don't even want to experience what getting an entire new set would feel like.
