This was my first time at Nails 2000 and it was a great experience. I went after work on a Thursday and got seated right away. Paul (who I believe is the owner) worked on my nails. He was gentle and very detailed. The salon is very clean and pretty, I also loved how open and spacious it was. I do wish they had more light/natural colored selections for the Dip Powder nails, I went with a color that is a little too pink for my taste, but other than that I can't find a thing to complain about. read more

This is a great place in Casa Linda that is affordable and friendly. Pros: A pedi and manicure with Shellac cost $58, which is cheaper than a lot of places (or I'm just used to Uptown's prices) and worth it. // the staff was super friendly and sweet // it's a huge nail salon, so definitely no waiting. // great job on my nails, and they even let me change my color when I didn't like it Cons: Not a huge selection of gel/shellac colors (but big selection in normal polish) // the massages they give aren't great , and that's half the reason I love a nail salon. My fav salon gives the best neck and back rub while you get a mani and the foot rub is awesome--you don't really get anything like that here. I hate that nail places in this area keep closing. I've been going here for a few months and every time I swear I'm not coming back. I get pedicures to relax and instead it feels like Mindy is in a race to see how quickly she can get me out of here. They are not full. There is no line. I'm trying to get the upgraded pedicure and she's obviously got somewhere else to be. I think I'll spend the rest of my time here trying to guess why she's in a rush. Stomach flu? Daughter in labor? I have been here a few times and it is always a disappointment. Nail techs are usually rushed and distracted which results in them over cutting your cuticles and them bleeding (which they ignore). I have always gotten an infection from this and their dirty tools. Also my dip manicure usually chips after 2-3 days. Wouldn't recommend. Tried giving them a few chances because they are cheap and close to my house. Not worth it. read more

Service was excellent! Came on a Sunday morning around 11 AM without an appointment and was seated right away. Both manicure and pedicure people (Kelly and Ruby) were excellent and deserve 5 stars. They completed the job quickly but also took the time to do what needed to be done well. One of my favorite salons in Dallas! The staff is great. The weekends get pretty busy, so I would try and go off peak times. Not only are there prices fair, they are great at keeping my nails healthy when I consistently get gel. They always make me feel welcome and are super hygenic! Twice I've had to have my dip nails re-done. The first time they were just too thick and every time the tech asked me "good?" I would say "no, too thick" and she would just giggle and continue on. So I went back a couple days later and another tech ground them down. I wasn't charged, but I did tip her $8 for her time. The second visit I struggled to get the tech to get my nails the SAME LENGTH on both hands so much so that I ended up with short-sporty nails when I wanted longer nails. Plus, there were rub marks and again, WAY too thick and stumpy. When asked if I liked them I would say no and point out the issues but just get "ohh okay ha ha!" in return. I left and when I got out in the sunlight all of the flaws were glaringly obvious so I went right back in and the owner did what he could. $41 + tip and over an hour of my time...wasted. On both visits I showed the techs the same photo from Pinterest and twice I left with NOTHING close to the photo. The first time in for these nails, I showed the photo to the owner lady and said I want whatever these are in the photo and she said that they were tips and dips and sent me off to a manicure chair, but mine just ended up...ugly. The owners are ready to please but who has time to sit there and re-soak in that harsh acetone and start all over with the removal process?....not that it was even offered. My natural nails wouldn't survive it anyway. The pedicures used to be great, but now they rush through them and the service is different every time. read more

I get pedicures all the time, and this place is horrible. They barely try to push your cuticles back, 30 seconds per foot I complain they roll their eyes. They barely file your nails my toe nails are uneven not filed. I won't even talk about how they barely worked on my rough feet. I will never ever go back. I tried to explain my upset nothing but excuses. If I am paying for the service I should get what I paid for. We won't even touch the fact most of the employees don't speak English. read more

I've been coming here for 15+ years. Love the staff and they always do a great job. It can get crowded on the weekend so it's best to make an appointment or go on a weekday. They are open late enough for me to go after work. This has always been a very sanitary nail salon. I love that it's been owned by the same couple for so long! It was my first time trying this place out. It was late notice & it was New Year's Eve so I was expecting them to be busy, but I called to make sure and they told me to just go ahead and come in. That made me feel a bit better so when i get there everyone was nice and i had a good feeling about it, but all i needed was a fill. The guy that was doing my nails made it seem like i was a burden. I wanted a design on two fingers & he told me that he couldn't. Then later on asked me what design i wanted because they don't do designs, they don't have any. I sat there kind of in shock. My regular nail salon was closed, but my mom was in town and wanted a pedicure, with Salon 2000 being close to my house we tried it out. BIG MISTAKE!!! My pedicure lasted a whole 15 minutes.... the lady that did my services did not even use the pumice stone on my feet, isn't that one of the main reasons for getting a pedicure? When she did my hands I had to ask her to refile them because they weren't even.... not like different hands were different lengths, each nail was slanted and not evenly filed across. Both my hands and feet looked like a 5 year old painted them. Needless to say I immediately went home and took off all my polish because it was embarrassing, luckily my regular nail salon Mai Le Nails on Greenville was open early in the morning and was happy to fix my horrendous nails. If I could've given this place zero stars then I would have. The staff is not friendly, the service is inconsistent, & the salon is unsanitary. It's almost as if my money isn't good enough to be spent here. Today I went in to get a fill-in at about 11:15a. They weren't really busy at all, as I walked in a couple of nail techs were walking around & a guy was sitting at a station appearing to look busy. I was initially told to have a seat at the last station. I went to the restroom really quick only to come back & be told to have a seat at a different station because she would not be doing my nails, instead the guy named "Paul" would be doing my nails. I had a seat & he begin to remove the polish from my nails & the file them. He seemed to be in a bit of a rush, but I didn't think anything about it. As time went on, he became even more rushed & I had to continue to point out to him that he was not doing my nails as I had asked him to do. My nails were way too wide, way too thick, much shorter than I asked them to be, and he seemed to have trouble filing them down & evening them out. He also cut my fingers & had trouble drilling the actual nails & my my fingers!!!!! As I was telling him this, he made an excuse saying that I needed a completely new set instead of a fill-in and I asked him why didn't he just say that to begin with. He responds by saying "he doesn't have time to do a full set for me because he has an appointment." My response was that if that was the case, why would he even start my nails to begin with??!! Why wouldn't he just say that???!!! I could've come back another time!!!! Needless to say I will NEVER EVER visit this place again!!! $16 for a basic manicure is kinda high to me. I had Lan do mine and I don't think she did anything that special. She missed several hanging cuticles and hangnails. Plus she didn't paint my full nails so I had to point out spots for her to redo. For as much money as I paid they could at least exfoliate with a sugar scrub or something?! A day later, my polish is already chipping off. My service really was worth no more than $10. The salon itself is beautiful though, but I won't be returning. read more

My time is worth something. I made an appointment for nails and pedicure. I was told to wait to get nails done first (as the nail man was finishing up). After he finished the previous person, he went to the back. It was 30 minutes past my appointment time by then. He finally comes back to tell me to do the pedicure first. Water was nearly cold but the lady did a nice pedicure. Then she did my "dipped" nails. They aren't great/ rather thick and lumpy. The worst part is that she spoke such terrible English that I could not understand her. She kept asking" you want Lip". What? Finally I realized she was trying to say Dip. I felt like a client for Mad TV Miss Swan. This was not a pleasant experience. It was nerve wracking instead of relaxing. The owners are not polite, rather cold and rude. read more

A man is who EVENTUALLY looked at the sheets and was completely confused as to who was who even after all 5 of us waiting responded to our names. I signed in and checked for a Deluxe pedi and classic mani. After 15-20 of waiting, i was seated only to wait for another 10 minutes. Which I was fine with since the massage chair was great. Lady came to do my pedicure, and after AN HOUR she said thank you, I said thank you (assuming the next girl was coming to do my manicure). Oh was I wrong! I only had the patience to wait about 5 minutes at this point. Asked one of the ladies walking by (who did not speak nor understand any english) how long it was going to take for my mani. She first said $18. I repeated my question and she said 20min...To make it short, the pedi girl "forgot" I asked for a mani too. Even though it's written on the paper. Worst salon experience ever! My friend and I got there around 5:30-6 to get a mani-pedi. Made us wait 30 min to bd seated and then 30 more min in the chair to start the pedicure! Turns out they close at 7 but they were working on our pedicure and hadn't even started on our manicures! Then during the manicures they were rushing so our nails are uneven and they kept hurting us with their machines! They even messed up the paint on our nails but wouldn't fix it! I waited 50 minutes for a walk in appointment on a Thursday afternoon. I arrived at 4:40 and left after 5:30 without being helped. The owner told each person who walked in that it would be a 15 minute wait. No regard for clients' comfort. I could no longer sit in the crowded straight chairs. This place is God awful. Don't be fooled by the environment. I had to go back 3 TIMES to have my nails redone because they were done so terribly 2 weeks ago. I decided to give them another chance today. Same scenario. I paid 50 bucks to have the ultimate pedicure and the guy rubbed my feet for maybe 10 mins (you pay the extra 20 bucks for a 30 min foot massage) I had to tell him what the ultimate pedicure was even suppose to have (including a hot neck wrap they advertise in their brochure that was not given until I asked). I asked for a manicure with my powder nails at least 5 times and they still didn't do it. Then I had an eyebrow and lip wax where the girl proceeded to ask me how many weeks pregnant I was (I'm not btw) Then checking out I proceeded to tell the owner at checkout what an awful experience I had and she just charged my credit card 100+ dollars and talk in her language while I left with no accommodation!
