I would have given 5 stars but I've found the quality of application can be hit or miss depending on the technician you get HOWEVER, there are so many great things about this spa! First of all, included in the basic mani / pedi, you get lots of extra pampering that most salons charge extra for such as Paraffin wax treatment, hot stones with massage AND they massage your neck while your nails or toenails dry...!!! That is a huge selling point for me. They recently started putting disposable plastic runners in the pedi tubs to keep them more sanitary which is a plus. Was just there, and it was great. They took me at 5 p.m., a plus over area salons that don't stay open until 6:30 on a Sat. like they do. There was a 16 person party, so a bit loud when I came in, but quiet and serene when they left. But no qualm about that, what a fun thing to do for a wedding party or something. Loved the extra touches, like parafin wax on my hands and heels. Richard was quiet but very nice and polite. Considering it was later in a busy day, the salon still looked clean, and the staff was busy keeping it that way. As others said the hot stone massage was de-stressing too ! They do have a nice place and it is very clean with Covid precautions. had problems. I got a regular manicure for $15 which isn't bad these days, but it felt very rushed and lasted about two days before my nails were badly chipped. Both of my friends got full sets. One got a beautifully done almond shape that she was very happy with, but paid $80 for a gel acrylic set. Not only was this a bit pricy but the gel coat was only on the bottom and the top colored coats were regular polish that negates the point of paying for non chip gel. My other friend got regular polish and it lasted, but she asked for a coffin shape and showed pictures but ended up getting an awkward square shape (I don't know how much hers cost). All in all it was not worth the price and there are definitely places that can give a better/ cheaper manicure around here. They also used to do a wax dip, but stopped because of Covid which was unfortunate because the prices stayed the same. read more

I enjoyed my first experience with aria. My technician Julie really took her time on my nails and they look great. *It has been four days and already one of my gel nails has chipped. This is always so disappointing. I spend the extra money so that my manicure lasts longer and it's already chipping. Other than that, I am happy. I was a little jealous by the extensive massage the women behind me received versus what my girl did for me. I grew up in Melrose, but have lived out of state for many years now. I came home for a friend's wedding and the bridal party had a get together/manicure party a couple of days before the wedding. The private room was great! We all got to chat without feeling like we were bothering other people, and we didn't have to sit far away from each other. They let us bring in some snacks and beverages to celebrate and everyone was happy with the service they received. It's 3 weeks later and my gel manicure is still holding up pretty well! I've been here before and the only reason I ever come back is because it's usually a long and relaxing pedicure, it's more money than most but for me it's worth it when I need to relax. I just left here so angry I'm almost crying. I've been here countless times and been very very happy with my experience most times. But the 5 times I've been here and had a bad experience, today being the 5th time, they have been outstandingly bad. All 5 times have a common denominator and today was the last straw. I'm never going back. The common issue between all my bad experiences have been the male technicians that work here. Each time I've ended up with a man doing my mani pedi it has been rushed, half assed, had a weak short massage, and come out terribly. Today was particularly upsetting for me because this was the first time I've had even a moment to myself in 2 months since I have an infant at home. And this man's work was egregious. I tried to tell another technician that I'd prefer a female and she didn't understand me. So I figured since I had never seen this particular man before I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Bad idea. I asked for an extra 10 min of massage on my pedicure. He said it would be 15 dollars. Fine. But he didn't do the massage and hot stone that are included in the pedicure normally and then tack on 10 mins. He just did 10 minutes and the hot stone inside of that 10 I was paying extra money for! That in itself was super frustrating. I paid 15 bucks for about 5 min extra. The really sucky part was how badly he was half assing the massage! It was weak and he was basically just running his hand over my calf and top of my foot a few times. He rushed the entire pedicure beyond that too. The manicure was where things got even worse. He cut two of my cuticles and they are currently bleeding. He cut my nails so short they are throbbing. And there are bubbles in my polish. If they cannot make sure that each and every employee is up to their standards then I can't keep going here. Which is sad because if I could just successfully avoid the men I am usually very happy with their work. But of the past 4 times I've gone 3 of them I ended up with the male technician and left upset. I think I'm done with Aria. I just wish I could recoup the 65 I just spent. Ugh. read more

I was looking forward to this night out with the girls for several weeks. It was the start of a birthday weekend and it was not at all what we expected. The salon full of fruit flies, the mani / pedi was the fastest treatment we have ever received. We were pushed out of the salon before our nails were even dry because they were closing, when I picked up my jacket it was covered in wax. When they were filling the wax for the paraffin treatment they spilled it all over my jacket, They didn't even apologize for it. To top it all off two of my fingers with the shellac polish chipped within 24 hours so disappointing. read more

I live right around the corner from Aria so I've been in quite a few times for manis, pedis & gel, and I've never had a bad experience. Every technician I've had has always done a great job! On the one or two occasions that someone was a little too rough on my cuticles, I told them, they apologized and immediately adjusted their technique. I really can't say anything bad about this place--clean, friendly and great service! And I have to say today I was particularly impressed by Becca. The glitter polish I picked wasn't going on well, so she took out a tool and patiently put each glitter speck on one by one at no extra charge! My nail dip looks really great. I just wish it didn't feel rushed. The nail tech brought me over to the drying area, which I didn't understand because my friend was doing same as me and wasn't brought over. Each time in middle of my conversation with my friend she interrupted me by pulling on my arm and kind of making me run to a few places. The massage also was super rushed compared to my friends whose seemed more gentle and slower than mine. We went on a non busy time. I don't know why she kept interrupting me without saying "excuse me" or at least "sorry" while I was talking to people mid convo. I really wanted to like this place enough to give five stars. COVID SAFE: Ive always been very happy with the service and results at Aria. I see Eva though Ive seen others and also been happy. I usually get a spa pedicure and gel manicure. They have excellent protocols for covid. They have hand sanitizer as soon as you walk in. They take your temperature then immediately direct you to the bathroom to wash your hands. The whole place was always clean but now looks even cleaner. They spray everything down between clients and have clear plastic partitions between clients. All staff and clients wear masks and they have a ton of extra PPE. Staff wear aprons, face shields, mask and goggles. Their staff is always very friendly and they continue to be friendly and confident with the new protocols. Everyone just wants to succeed and provide a safe service. I love getting my nails done as an actof self care. Just relaxing and allowing someone else to make me look beautiful feels extremely calming to me. I can safely say as a person that is pretty cautious during covid, I feel safe here and am still able to relax and get what I need. read more

When I first walked in I though the place was beautiful. I went in today to receive a manicure and a pedicure. The spa pedicure was great with the hot stones and massage. They didn't rush me. I just felt that the expectation of a $60 pedicure wasn't met. The main reason was because the employees talking Chinese over you and to each other. Aria is the place I pop into for a mani/pedi whenever I'm about to go on vacation or just need to give myself a little self care. I always make an appointment, and am seated as soon as possible. Let's face it, salons get busy sometimes and I've waited 5 - 10 minutes at times but I'm generally greeted before the door even shuts behind me. This is a quiet, cozy place with nice music. I can just sit back and relax. My favorite thing about coming here is that they're timely without rushing. If I book a mani/pedi, I'll be in and out within an hour; it generally takes about 20 - 30 minutes for my pedicure and 15 - 20 minutes for my regular manicure. The staff is gentle and patient, and the included stone massage and paraffin wax is an appreciated bonus. Overall, my experiences here have been great over the years. Fair prices, the occasional coupons, discounts for paying in cash, large selection of nail polish, multiple services offered, friendly staff, timely services, quiet atmosphere, and I am happy with how I look and feel when I leave. read more

To preface, I usually love to give wonderful reviews of places especially when I'm not familiar with the area. However my experience at this spa was AWFUL. I walked into the spa around 5:45pm and asked if they had enough time to do a mani & pedi, they said yes to pick a colour and it would be a few minutes. The nail tech was visibility annoyed the whole entire time. Instead of getting a nice relaxing treatment I felt stressed and a burden to be in the spa. When it came time for the hot stone massage that I read about online, he didn't even touch my right leg. So I only received half of a massage. He was rough with moving my legs in which ever direction he needed and didn't ask. When it came to the manicure part. I wanted to cry. He kept on yanking my arm across the table and telling me to relax. My shoulders have been sore from a tough workout this week and from him yanking my arm, it feels even worse today. When he started to clip my cuticles, he used a pair of unsterilized, already used clippers. There were someone else cuticles on the clippers. Gross! I can't believe this is even allowed in the spa. When it came to the wax portion of the treatment. I've ever had anything done like that before and he kept on yelling at me to put my hands in the wax. I don't know why he was so upset and taking his anger out on me. I am revolted. When I went to pay, I asked if they took Amex and he said no, cash only. I paid $80 for a treatment that I was yelled durning and rushed the whole time. If you can't make the time for a client, please let them know. I'd rather go to another salon then feel like this ever again. I will be contacting the BBB along with the health department because of the unsanitary conditions. read more

I went with my sister and we both got mani pedis. Great experience! They were efficient and though they aren't the cheapest it is a great value. So clean and the techs are all nice. Very disappointed. This was my second time at Aria. The first time I had just a pedicure and the girl who did my pedi was thorough and nice. The complimentary shoulder massage is very nice. I was so excited to come back! However, today's experience has convinced me not to return. I entered the salon at 4:30pm (2 hours before the closing time). I specifically went later in the day to avoid an over-crowded and loud experience. I just wanted to relax and be pampered. First bad sign was that when I entered no one greeted me. I normally don't care about being greeted right away, but it was very annoying to be ignored when at least 10 staff members were sitting together at the back of the salon and chatting. They looked at me and just ignored me. I noticed the salon was very empty. Only two other customers were present. I thought I lucked out! Not so much. First, I had my pedicure. The girl doing my nails, Gina, was entirely disinterested and didn't seem to care about the lukewarm water...never asked me how the temp was. She wasn't paying attention at all and one leg/foot seemed to get different treatment from the other. However, I can let all of that slide. It was nearing the end of her work day. I can understand being tired, etc. Not ideal, especially because she still had 2 hours of her work day, but I was fine with that. What really became an issue was the yelling and loud talk from the other 10-15 staff members with nothing to do. It seemed that the staff may have been even doing a raffle or something at one point. No joke...it was extremely loud and definitely not relaxing. Again, I understand if the staff are hanging out or have a meeting or something else at the salon. However, the volume was ridiculous. There was clearly no regard for the paying customers. At this point I moved on to the mani. Things got worse with quality and the staff. My nails were filed uneven and again my girl was completely disinterested. At one point she noticed something under one of my nails. Looked at it. Then continued painting. She also nicked one of my cuticles while looking up to talk to a co-worker. I will say that the paraffin dip is really nice. However, the staff continued to "hang" out and chat loudly among themselves this entire time. At 5:15pm, everyone began emptying trash barrels and cleaning around me. So distracting and not relaxing. Again, this was not just before closing, which I would understand. This was 1 hr and 15 min before closing! All the staff clearly wanted to go home. At one point a staff member sat at the station inches from where I was sitting to count his tips. While the entire place was empty he went right next to me. Lastly, at 5:45pm a women entered and said she just wanted a mani and asked if there was time to do this. The salon was open for another 45 minutes, so that wasn't cutting it too close. She was taken, but two of staff rolled their eyes at each other and looked extremely annoyed by her. So hears the deal. Either tell customers that they can't be seen or take the business and don't look annoyed when doing so. Also, maybe close a half hour early and then clean the place, instead if while customers are getting services and are trying to relax. Or wait until 15 minutes before closing at the very least. I was there 2 hours before closing, but felt very unwanted and like a burden. Lastly, not a great idea for the staff to be hanging out, meeting and just being loud and obnoxious while customers are around. So very unprofessional. I'm actually upset with myself for the $60 I wasted for an experience that was the opposite of what I was looking for....I left annoyed and tense instead of relaxed. Disappointed all around and won't return. read more

I came in for the first time for a shellac manicure. The service was great my nail technician went above and beyond. The paraffin wax was plus. Though when I left the salon the shellac started coming off! This was from regular hand washing! When I shell out 35 dollars for a shellac I expect it to last at least 2 weeks with no chipping! read more

The provide great luxury service for a great price. They are wonderful with their gel nail service so it provides quality care for your nails and bands. Also the excellent service that they offer with sea salt scrub, hot stones, clay mask. Make your feet and nails make you feel like a new you. I don't typically post reviews but I was really disappointed especially after a friend highly recommended it. The salon is very clean, tools are individually sterilized and sealed for a fresh set for each customer just like the dentist. I had the basic pedicure which came with a foot massage, hot stone rub and parafin wax on heels. While all of this sounds great the basics of what a pedicure were missing. She didnt cut my nails as short as I asked, she didn't clean under the nails and while the pumice tool she used was a new scrubby pad, it was more like extra fine sand paper which was useless and she barely scrubbed my heels at all. I brought my own OPI polish and UV top coat. The color was applied unevenly and she seemed annoyed when I asked her to use my top coat which she did reluctantly after her top coat. They don't use UV light dryers so I ended up with bubbles since i had so many top coats. I think she was more interested in up selling me on another fancy pedicure like lemon or a long massage. This was an expensive pedicure $35 for inconsistent color and rough heels. I would prefer smooth heels, with consistent color and shorter length to all the bells and whistles. I had to go in a pinch but will not return other that to get a gift certificate for my friend who likes Aria. read more

In theory this place would be great as the description of their pedicure sounds lavish. However, I left with bleeding toes. I understand this could happen with trimming cuticle however, my nail tech left me bleeding by simply filing my toe nails. I've never witnessed someone file nails so aggressively, I was left with three bleeding toes. When I brought this to the techs attention he abruptly left and got some little bottle of blue liquid which I can only hope is antiseptic solution. I should have just left at that point... The pedicure was just very rushed and not worth my time or money. I am very disappointing as the description sounds promising. The atmosphere of the place is very peaceful and clean which was a pro. They use fresh packets for their tools which is a must for a salon. They were able to fit me in for a pedicure pretty quickly as well. However, for the same price I will go to Place 2B in Saugus and get a hot stone pedicure for a much better experience. read more

I was very impressed with the interior design of the spa, the relaxing music, and the special touches like the hot stones, paraffin wax, and neck massage. The space was nice and clean and the staff was pleasant. However, the service was so-so. My pedicure still had bits of my previous polish left behind. The massage everyone raves about was over in a blink. I did like the heel dip in the wax though, that was nice. As for the mani, half of my nails had blank spots on them, (the edges) and the color was not evenly applied. In their defense it was a light color and I know that can be tricky sometimes. Sadly, I didn't notice until after I left. My mani didn't even last two days :( I have a GC to finish using so I will give them another shot. I absolutely looooove this place! My favorite thing during the whole manicure process is the parafin hand wax while getting a shoulder massage. Whoever thought of this idea of including this with EVERY manicure is a GENIUS and should be given a Nobel prize. I usually don't write reviews but I was really disappointed in both the service and quality of a gel manicure here. My gel manicure barely lasted a week before it start chipping on multiple nails. I've never had this happen when I have received gel manicures at other salons. I also thought my manicure itself felt very rushed and hurried. I appreciate the fact that they give a quick shoulder massage afterwards but it felt like the technician was annoyed to even do it and because of that I would have preferred it be skipped altogether. A great experience! My daughter and I called on whim and lucky for us, they were able to give us a same day appointment for mani-pedis! Parking on the street was pretty easy. We got there a little early - my daughter in infamous for taking a while to select her colors. We loved to see all the polish displayed by color and shade and that made it very easy to make our selections! I don't think I have ever seen such a wide array of colors arranged so thoughtfully. As soon as we made our selections (which made us still early for the appointment), Grace and Joy brought us to our chairs to begin. They were extremely friendly and welcoming! Everything is new, clean and sanitary. They cleaned as they went along which contributed to the clean environment as whole. When we got there, there were only 3 chairs no being used - it was great to see them so busy! The chairs are uber comfy and the pedi was quite relaxing. The oil in baggies on the heels of my feet were a very nice touch! Then we moved on to our nail stations and the neck massage and paraffin dip was a very nice touch! Everyone was incredibly friendly and professional and you will love how modern and calming the place is! We are going on 5 days post our treatments and our nails are still salon perfect!
