My friend and I were there on Friday, January 29th at 4p. The RSVP is under Joanne Darcy. My friend also experienced the same bad service and awful mani/pedi. I had gone to this salon in a busy Friday night. I had called on a whim. After a long hard day a pedicure is what makes me feel best. I knew I wanted the spa pedicure. I get one every time I get a pedicure. This was my first time at Aria. It was SO packed. The technicians all looked exhausted. My technician was sweet and did a great job however I got the lavender spa pedicure and was out of that salon in 33 minutes even with drying my polish. Sure being quick is great, but being rushed is another. At my normal spot, I'm there for an hour or more sometimes. I had chosen aria this time because I had received so many positive recommendations and was left feeling disappointed. I won't go back. They ask everyone in the pedicure chairs if they want to do the spa pedicure only to get the extra $25-$30, not because they enjoy or want to do the extra work. Maybe it's supposed to be quick. But how relaxing is that? I prefer someone to take their time. 2 stars because the color selection is great and my polish stayed on for a full month without a single chip. read more

It was ok...if you're not looking to relax. My nails and toes look good but the whole process was very rushed! In under an hour, I got a pedicure and gel manicure. Both, came out good, no complaints on the paint job. Felt very much like a factory where they are just rushing people through the process to get the next person in. There were so many customers and workers and you could tell that they were just trying to get people in and out. They even set a timer for my pedicure! If you're in a hurry and want a decent pedicure, this is your spot. If you want to go and relax and enjoy the massage chair and a book, it's not for you. read more

Just left Aria after getting a gel mani. I hardly ever come here because I am always disappointed at the poor quality and rushed service and I should have stayed away! I was in and out in less than 25 minutes. Two other women were sitting down getting gel manis before me and I was done well before them. My technician put on the sloppiest layer of top coat I've ever seen. My nails look like crap and have textured lines running up and down. Never coming back. read more

I called to make an appointment this past Sunday at 9:30 AM, I didn't realize they opened at 10 and I had a packed day, I would have been able to take a 10 AM appointment, just would have needed to plan my day better. Unfortunately I didn't realize they did not open until I got there and was at the doors, as I was wondering what I should do, two people, a woman and a man opened the store and asked if I needed anything. I explained the predicament I found myself, and they waved me right in and gave me a gel manicure. Julie was QUICK and ATTENTIVE! I adore how my nails came out even though my request was very simple. I could tell the skill and care that went into them and I am extremely grateful for the excellent service received by her despite my timing blunder! Aria Salon is one of my favorites in town, everyone is nice and they take their time with their services. However, the last couple of times I've gone for a gel manicure - my manicure does not last a full week (gel manicures lay upwards of 2 weeks). My nails pictured below are 6 days into a gel manicure. 3 nails are chipped, and nail polish on one nail had discolored. I have done gels and regular polish and I've had many different nail techs and every manicure and pedicure has been great. They have a large selection of polishes and the technicians are always super nice. I just walked out of aria. I made an appt at 1230 for a gel mani and a pedi. Its not my usual place been there about a dozen times before but today I walk into a zoo, now it's a few days before Easter I get its going to be busy I accept that. I went to pick my color and sat around and was ignored for 30 mins. I knew this wasn't going to be enjoyable but I still had some hope. Finally they led me to the pedicure chair had me soak my feet and said someone would be with me soon... 15 minutes later I am still soaking my feet in cold water no one noticed me. I had enough and walked out wet feet and all. I told the front desk that I was leaving no one seemed to care what happened. Never again will I go here. read more

I have nothing bad to say about this salon. I came in as a walk in for a gel manicure and got seated right away. I wasn't sure of the color I wanted and Julie helped me pick a color. I wasn't in love with the first color choice and without a bat of an eye she made sure I walked out happy. She took the time to even put on a second coat for me and did it well. If I could give no stars I would . Went here today for a 10:30 appointment , was out of my chair at 11 . 35$ for a less than thirty minute pedicure is beyond ridiculous. Asked the guy three times to cut my cuticles around the toes considering that is why I get them done and do not do them on my own. He rolled his eyes out of frustration each time I tried to point out where I needed him to revisit . Not only did he not ask me if I wanted my toes cut or filed he also did not file the bottom of my feet or exfoliate my legs . That being said my toenails are all way too short and all you see is dead skin around the rim of my toes ... which I also asked him to remove ! Moral of the story is I was rushed did not get a nearly decent job done on my toes . and did not feel comfortable during my stay . I will never ever be back . read more

I have been to Aria twice now. The first time I had a gift certificate and the second time was only because Gloss didn't have any appointments available. The good: It's definitely nicer than the other salons in town on the inside. I enjoyed the wax wrap on my heels and the paraffin wax on my hands. They have a nice selection of Essie nail polish and the employees are friendly. The bad: They give leg and neck massages and both times, the person was too rough and almost gave me a cramp. There are fruit flies EVERYWHERE! I know they're probably from the sugar scrub they use but it grosses me out. One of the men did my pedicure last time and cut my big toe. It hurt so bad every time he poured product on it. I'm walking around with a bandaid over my pedi right now. My manicure was half-assed probably because it was close to closing time. There is nail polish all over my skin and the color isn't applied evenly at all. I probably could have done a better job myself. I will stick to Gloss since no other salon compares and they are surprisingly $5 cheaper than Aria too. read more

Hands down *best* experience that I've ever had in a nail salon (and I've had a lot of them!) Not quite sure what happened with the previous poster, but sounds like there might be more to the story. I went in to an immaculate salon with incredibly friendly staff. My manicurist, Sun, was absolutely incredible. She shaped my nails perfectly....gave me a great neck massage....paraffin wax (included) and polished my nails in a way that lasted more than 5 days (which never happens.) all of this for 15 dollars? It was worth double. I've found my new forever salon and have already recommended several friends. Visit aria (and ask for Sun. Unless I'm there.....and then you'll have to settle for another fabulous staff member!) read more

My first time there today. Very nice place, cleanest nail salon in the area. The pedi chairs are great, but the service was fair to mediocre. More like a file and polish change. Jinny did not cut the cuticle, she danced around the cuticles like she was doing something. She seemed very inexperienced. Fair to good massage, again, not enough training. And not cheep either with a coupon. I had two nails fixed with a silk wrap done by the owner, $8.00 per nail, mani and pedi totaled $51.00, with a $15.00 coupon off!!! I left $10.00 on the table for jinny, only because being in a service business, I know how much gratuities are so much a part of the salary. She never even said thank you. I made an appointment for 12:00 on a Monday, which usually isn't a busy day. The salon was very clean and classy looking, A+ for presentation. However, I was not greeted by anyone for about five minutes, when a woman who seemed like an owner told me to sit and wait. After about 25 minutes she was ready for me. Immediately I could tell she was not paying attention to detail.. She kept filing down my cuticles and I actually had several cuts on my skin around my nails for a few days after. I kept saying something and she would apologize but continue the same routine of scraping the skin around my nails off. There were many crooked nails that i had to point out to her after she was done. She was very preoccupied with talking to the other workers and didn't care about my satisfaction at all. I had acrylics and I wanted a fill and all the salon carries is something called puria or something different. There are many bubbles in my nails now and the fill was $10 more than my regular place. Not to mention the discoloration between the old and new acrylic and the sloppy top coat. I will not be returning.. read more

I've been to Aria many times since it opened a couple years ago. Every subsequent trip seems to get worse and worse. The pedicure I got yesterday was overall decent, but the manicure left me frustrated. I had already cut my nails short and buffed them because I was sitting for the bar last week, so she didn't have much to do. She pushed back my cuticles pretty hard, which hurt. The paint job was not done well at all; it wasn't consistent and didn't have a clean finish. Bad technique. I asked her to fix three of my nails: on one, she just used top coat to "smooth it out," and on the other two she removed the polish off at the corners and reapplied polish to those corners only. As you can imagine, they came out looking botched. She told me she had worked there for a year, so I expected good technique by now. I paint my nails better at home, and a good regular (non-gel) manicure usually lasts me a couple weeks. With this bad paint job, which did not cover some of the tips, I know they will chip very soon. I've spent hundreds of dollars here, and still haven't met a good manicurist (besides my first visit, but she no longer works here). Also, don't let the large selection of nail polish colors fool you. Many of those bottles are old. With the prices they charge, they should be keeping up with fresh bottles. I've been to smaller salons with better polish options. Pros: the salon is very nice, clean, and spacious. The manicure and pedicure services come with complimentary paraffin wax and massage, which varies depending on who you get. I always leave at least a 20% tip, but have left more and more unsatisfied with each trip. read more

I've been here twice. First time I came in, I was greeted and helped by a really nice man. I had my nails done previously and needed a fill and color ASAP. I was in the area and decided to stop in and try it out. The layout is alluring and gorgeous!! I was happily surprised to find out clients get hand massages during their appointment! Awesome! However, the kind man working on my fill brought over another girl to show her all that is wrong with my nails. Instead of inviting me into the conversation, it was them two against my nails. It was pretty hurtful. But-- I let it slide, paid the expense, left a tip for my friend and went on my way. Second time I stopped in was a week later when a nail broke. An older woman was my nail technician this time around and she was very mean. The only time she spoke was when she demanded to know where I got my nails done before. The rest of the time she spoke to her coworker in another language beside her and her coworker would look over at my nails. It was obvious and silly. Well, she cut my nail way too short because she wasn't paying attention. She rushed me out after making me feel unworthy and beneath her clientele. I never leave reviews if I've had an upsetting experience, I just feel as if Aria has such amazing potential that this should be of their awareness. The kind man who filled my nails, although he was rude when insulting my nails and not speaking with me about it, did do a lovely job. I hope the owner and coworkers read this review and commit to treating every customer equally. It does make an impact on future visit and it does hurt the feelings of paying customers. Went here for the first time with a bridal party last week. They treated us like queens, we had the back room all to ourselves, it was so much fun. The bridesmaids all got the same color and the staff we very efficient on getting us all done in a timely manner. We actually picked the wrong gel color for our nails and they noticed it didn't match the regular nail color we got for our toes and quickly grabbed the correct gel color. Thanks to the staff, we dodged the 'walking down the aisle with 2 different colors on our hands and toes' bullet! Personally, I live in Los Angeles, therefore most of my gel mani/reg pedis are done out here. But I was super impressed with Aria, I feel like I got the star treatment! They dipped our hands and feet in paraffin wax and massaged us all up good. They had us all pegged, stressed bridal party and MOB, it was perfect. They also have these awesome plastic clips they use instead of foil to remove my old gel mani, they are the coolest invention EVER! (The clips are environmentally friendly too, which is a plus in my book!) So why only 4 stars you ask? Well unfortunately the bride's mani and pedi took FOREVER. I felt bad, the rest of the bridal party was done at least 20/30 minutes before her. Granted, the bride wanted a glitter ombré design on all her digits, BUT STILL! The staff shared 1 bottle of polish between 3 bridesmaids and they STILL got all of us done before the bride. I'm not sure what happened, but it actually made the bride more stressed that it was taking so long to finish. Other than the time management issue, Aria did a great job, and I would go back. It's been a week, and I've put my gel nails through the ringer, decorating, partying, cleaning a house, traveling across the country and they still look fantastic. Thanks Aria! read more

I love Aria! Although their prices are slightly higher than other salons in the area, you get what you pay for. Manis and pedis come with complimentary back massage (hot stones!) and paraffin wax. Such a bonus. I went here last night for a gel mani and a pedi. I had Lily. She was great! Loved chatting it up for once and my nails look aaaaamazing. The reason I didn't give five stars is twofold: #1, because I feel that their pedi tools don't really take care of all the dry skin on my feet. I'm not overly dry, but I feel that every time I leave with a pedi from there my skin is never as soft as some other places (this is not a reflection on Lily at all!). #2, often times even when I have an appointment I still have to wait 20 minutes to a half hour. popped in hoping for a fix to my previously botched acrylics (thanks to a different nail salon). what a breath of fresh air! aria is spacious & clean & bright! I was promptly greeted by Cathy, who was both friendly and able to get my manicure started for me. she let me know off the bat that Becca would be over shortly to take over. Becca delivered the best manicure I've ever had! my hugely thick acrylics were buffed down with care to a much more natural width. I also prefer a half moon manicure with a slightly pointed tip and trust when I say it's like pulling teeth to find someone willing and able to accommodate me. Becca didn't bat a lash! she brought my nails to a soft point and free-handed the most beautiful half moon I've ever seen! I could cry! there's about 6 nail salons on or off of Main Street in wakefield and I think I've tried them all. I'm so happy to have a new home at aria and a new nail artist in Becca! read more

Leaving this place feeling like a king. The staff was super friendly and professional. Place is huge, it is the biggest nail place I ever been to, and it is spotless. If you are really serious about cleanness, you will be happy. I had just basic manicure and pedicure. The tech who helped me spent good amount of time giving me leg massage instead of working on my feet. (I been told from nail techs that I had very easy feet, meaning clean feet. Yeah I barely work out.) Most techs, most other places I been to, usually finish my pedicure within 20 minutes. Overall I was super happy with my pedicure and atmosphere of salon. I would recommend this place to anyone, male or female, anyone who needs a little relax. Oh! There are also complimentary drinks and chocolates. I want to follow up my previous review with a positive one because I don't think it's fair to only come on Yelp when you have a complaint. In an effort to not sound completely bi-polar, I have still written off ARIA in terms of pedicures because as I had mentioned, they won't remove my ingrowns which is the only reason I get pedicures... but I did decide to try them out for a gel manicure and it was such a pleasant experience! I was a walk-in with no appointment. When I first got up to the desk, the receptionist was on the phone. I was anticipating to just patiently wait to be served until he got off the phone but to my surprise, two other workers saw me standing there waiting and got up from their manicure stations to come over and assist me. The woman who ended up helping me was the one who did my manicure. I had gel on when I walked in so they had to remove it. Anyone who has had gel removed knows that they usually wrap your fingers in tin foil. She had these little plastic finger clips I had never seen before, making the removal process seem more efficient and professional. Also, more environmentally friendly - which is a plus for me! She spoke excellent English and understood all of my requests. The gel manicure itself was flawless... she even noticed a little spec on one nail (that I had noticed too) and took the time to scrape it off and re-do that nail without me even asking. To top it off, the parafin treatment was great and what really blew me away was the back and hand massage! Just went you think the manicure is over after the parafin, she takes out the hot stone and massages your back. When you think it's over again.... she massages your hand/forearms! It was probably about 8 minutes total and felt amazing! I almost asked her if she did full body massages and booked an appointment right then! In conclusion, ARIA definitely redeemed themselves with the gel manicure. I won't return for a pedicure, but I would definitely go back and recommend them for a manicure! I'd like to give proper credit to the manicurist too - her name is Cindy. She was great! read more

Great pedicure and manicure but I am calling management today to give them a piece of my mind. I went with my sister in law and niece to get a mani pedi. My niece is taller than your average 12 year old and when my sister in law went ahead of us to pay they asked my sister in law how old my niece was. When she said 12 management said "well she's bigger so we have to charge her the adult price" I am DISGUSTED with the lack of professionalism in this establishment. My niece is self conscious of her height anyways and can you imagine if she heard them say that? Just don't say anything at all and charge us the full price. I won't go back here again. I went to Aria this morning for the first time, I had a gift certificate for a $35 pedicure. It was the worst pedicure I have ever had. It took 24 minutes start to finish and looks terrible. The woman doing the pedicure cut and filed my nails but didn't remove the dried skin all around them. She told me she couldn't file the bottom of my feet or file the small callous on the side of my big toe because I didn't pay for a spa pedicure. The nail polish she put on ran down into the cuticles and sides of 3 of my toes and she didn't fix that. When she trimmed my cuticles she caused both of my big toes to bleed and she left it there I had to wash the dried blood off when I got home. She told me that next time I come in I need to get a spa pedicure so that I will like it better. I am so disappointed in the quality of service from Aria. read more

I'VE NEVER BEEN SO SCARED AT A NAIL SALON BEFORE. One of the employees berated me in such a terrifying and scary tone that I called the police. I have been going to this nail salon for years. They charge more but they used to be very good and provided extra services. Now their rates are higher than what their website says and they provide less service. Even though the front desk agreed on how I would pay for my services with their cash card, they reneged when I went to pay which is were the dispute occurred. The tech was not very friendly and she rushed through my pedicure and manicure. She barely used the nail color even with the three coats. When I voiced my concern that they would smudge and could use more time drying, Hana quickly dismissed me and kept going.
