My first visit . I was greeted promptly with a friendly smile. I only wanted a basic manicure and pedicure. My nails are thin from using gel. I advised that I am working on strengthening them. She understood the assignment didn't try to pressure me to get additional services. The saloon was clean. Also they use OPI. I was very pleased and will return.

Great experience at nails BB! I came in for my appointment I had made through yelp and even though they were very busy they honored my appointment promptly. My technician, Tracy, was very nice and speedy. She did a great job for french tip pedicure. The prices are great for what you get. Also, there is free parking, and ten salon is very clean and well kept. Will definitely be back :)

Lovely gel manicure at a reasonable price! Overall great deal and high quality service. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodated me as a walk in customer. Three weeks later my nails still look fantastic! I will be returning to have my nails done for my daughter's baby shower.

Ive been going here for about 3/4 years now, all the nail techs are amazing and so so sweet. Lately I've been requesting Lisa and she always does amazing nails that stay on for 3-4 weeks. I usually get a complicated design and Lisa always goes above and beyond. Shes amazing!!! Love this salon

Amazing place! Very modern chic vibe inside. They do get PACKED if you are a walk in. But they help you right away! I came in in a Saturday around 5pm, just a walk in. Signed in on their iPad waited about 3-5mins and I was able to get my gel manicure done. I completely forgot my nail lady's name but she was amazing! I might've found my new nail spot :)

Vera and Mimi are great nail techs. Thet go above and beyond. I always like getting flowers and Mimi today said, you're getting more. I love them!! I enjoy the spot.

I've been coming here for a couple of years now, and not once have I had a bad experience. The staff has always been friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. What I appreciate most is how transparent they are about pricing they always make sure you know if there are any extra charges before starting a service. Today, though, I witnessed something that really stood out and I was actually sitting right next to the customer the entire time. A girl came in and started complaining about the cost after her nails had already been started. From the beginning, her tone felt rude and dismissive. When the manager came over to help, she tried to calmly explain the pricing, but the customer kept interrupting and responding with a passive-aggressive attitude. At one point, she even told the manager to lower her voice in a disrespectful way, despite the manager remaining professional the entire time. To make things more uncomfortable, her boyfriend started adding his opinion, even though he had nothing to do with the service. Instead of helping de-escalate the situation, he made it worse by defending his girlfriend, even though she was clearly in the wrong. It would have been more appropriate to let the customer and the person in charge handle the situation directly. Another manager stepped in and patiently pulled up her past transactions to clearly show what had been charged before. They explained that sometimes removal fees are waived, but it's never guaranteed and they always communicate that upfront, which is something I've personally experienced and appreciated. Even after being shown proof, the customer continued to be upset and dismissive, saying things like, "Whatever, just finish my nails. I'll pay, but I'm never coming back." After all that I understand why staff didn't want to service her anymore. She left the place with nails on and she still didn't pay. The staff handled everything with patience and professionalism, even when faced with unnecessary rudeness.

I was in desperate need of getting my nails done & I came across Nails BB! I happened to be in the area & they were the only place taking walk-ins at the time. They were able to get me started in just 10 minutes by the time I arrived! I chose a design that was pretty intricate but Nikki is so detailed, she will make sure you get exactly what you want. Everyone is so kind & welcoming, I'm so glad I found a Long Beach nail salon!

Nails BB is my go-to salon in Long Beach. I really appreciate their commitment to their appointments (which has not been the case for a lot of nail salons) as well as the consistency in end results. I have probably come here about 5 times and have had different nails techs every time and I have been happy with my nails every single time. Most recently, I had Jolene as my nail tech and got V-day nails with a light pink base with little red hearts as my design. I think this place is the most reliable as well as reasonably priced. A gel manicure is $30 - with a design being an extra $10. This place accepts cash/card but if you pay with card, there is a small fee (although the pro is you can just tip on the card as well).

This was my first time to Nails BB and was very impressed. The salon is very clean and modern looking. All of the staff members were very kind and helpful. Jane recommended I do a dipping powder manicure since my natural nails were long. She even added a tip for a broken nail. She did an amazing job and I'm very happy with my manicure. I made an appointment and requested Kayla because I liked the photos of her work on yelp and she said they had availability same day. However, when I got to the salon they were obviously super busy. My technician was *not* Kayla even though I had called 4 hours before and talked to Kayla, herself. Beyond that, I got gel x extensions and while they were being filed, the technician filed one of my hands way shorter than the other. I noticed when it was happening, as it's particularly bad on one nail. I asked the technician to fix it but she said it would take too long to redo and she clearly didn't want to fix it, probably because they were so busy. There was some super awkward back and forth about fixing it, too. I usually wouldn't speak up, and when I tried it just made the experience uncomfortable. Once the service ended I realized my entire left hand is significantly shorter and stubbier than the right and the left hand is square where the right hand is round. Usually a nail tech would compare the nails as they're going but that didn't happen. Basically, it looks bad. The tech apologized about it, offering me a discount for the nail that's extremely short. But ultimately I would have rather not come in at all and not paid 60 dollars for a poorly done manicure. read more

This is one of the best nails salons I have ever visited. Mimi was the one that did my nails and she was so kind when doing them as I have messed up fingers and she never said anything about them, but, other places usually do. She is also very patient in her work and when she doesn't think it's correct or you tell her you don't like something she'll fix it right away. She is very considerate and overall an amazing nail tech. Also the overall staff is super friendly and welcoming which is nice. Overall a good experience from the staff as they'll give you suggestions if you aren't sure of something. read more

Update: I bumped the review from 1 to 3 star. The owner is working with me to fix the situation and get a full refund. He seemed very genuine and upset for me which felt very validating to my feelings. If anyone ever wants to contact him, GET A RECEIPT! It has information to reach the owner! I wished I had known this sooner. Jimmy the first nail technician I've ever been to has been horrible with details and any kind of customer service. I've worked in service all of my working life, and I was willing to handle rudeness as long as it has been met with skills. He did not, so I was absolutely upset but not as much as I am with Bobby the manager. If you ever do come here. get the other technicians, but not Jimmy and NEVER LET BOBBY TOUCH THEM. I recommend Travis and Kim since they did my friend's nails MUCH BETTER. Bobby may used to do nails, but he is out of touch with reality if he thinks he can still do it yet leave me in this state. His behavior was also icky and leaves me with bad vibes about his fake kindness. The TOUCHING he does to customers that are first timers are DISGUSTING, like we don't even know you and JUST MET YOU. He did things such as grabbing my hair clip and pretending to steal it and throwing the pearl charms at me that was being put on my friend since she was getting finished up with a much nicer nail art. My friends also had their own experience with Bobby like being called "watermelon girl", having their hand hit, and being shoved when taking their nail art taken pictures of.Leave us girls alone and let us have our night out. Without my boyfriend the next visit Bobby pressured me into without a refund, I would've just been incredibly uncomfortable with what he was going to try next. The lack of space and respect was appalling. The next visit was with unwillingly with Bobby since he was the only "technician" there, and he left my nails in major pain, cut, and mental agony. I have yet to receive the complete refund that was promised to me since my boyfriend finally managed to get for me. This was my first time going to a nail salon, but I felt like I was dealt a bad hand TWICE. First time, my nail technician Jimmy was rushing my nails since he had to go somewhere. My nail shapes were inconsistent from oval to square on my right hand, and he didn't even follow the inspo to any kind of semblance. The long petaled daisies he chose to give me were inconsistent in angles and numbers of petals, it was just horrible art for a basic design I asked for. He was just curt and rude with his attitude, like he was exasperated with me. He was so half-*** about it, and I didn't even receive a top coat, cuticle oil, or any kind of service since he just up and left me after finishing this "art". Now, the next visit was the absolute worst and was supposed to rectify my first visit. I had my boyfriend with me to defend me if I needed it, and I am thankful that he did. I was already sketched out since it was just us and Bobby, and this entire process for my nails was a whole 2 hour and a half. He ripped out a hang nail I had, and he cut my cuticle and proceeded to flood the cut with acetone and gel polish. He would constantly run through my cuticles with his long nail, but he was doing it to every single one of my fingers anytime he was painting anything, also with a NAIL FILE. It didn't even do anything since the gel polish hardened all over my skin. The nail art was too hard for him as well even though it was a simple rabbit (Miffy the rabbit), but I WISHED I had my appointment rescheduled for a real technician because he kept telling me he USED TO DO NAILS. He couldn't even do any kind of shapes, it was all too hard for him. two dots and an x for a face? Impossible for Bobby. I just asked to not have the face done since it took around an hour and a half just for a face he couldn't do. However, the ears were just as much as a struggle for him. I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, but I was held there for 2 1/2 hours against my will. My boyfriend was fighting to get a refund since I was wronged TWO TIMES. The manager was arguing with him and was trying to compare food with nails, like what?? I was mainly just sitting there upset and in pain, but when I was in focus, I heard the most baffling thing. I saw and heard my boyfriend trying to demonstrate his lack of skills by showing how terrible the ears look (the only part of the nail art that required skill), but the manager dared to say that my boyfriend didn't give him enough time to fix it. WE WOULD'VE BEEN THERE ALL NIGHT IF WE LET HIM DO THAT, HE COULDN'T EVEN DO TWO EYES AND AN X. I finally have enough of a refund to get out of this nail salon, but I am still owed the $20. This entire experience, I just felt that my kindness and patience kept being tested and being taken advantage of. I went to a real manicurist after, and they're in shock at what happened and the time it took fyi. read more

I made an apt for 9am. At 920 after watching them seat walk ins I asked about my apt and the man at front desk said oh thers a lot of traffic. I asked then wht not take me first who has apt, and he lsughed and said they can't help traffic you know. This was second time and last time going there. If they can't respect my time they get no dinero from me. Horrible place, way over priced!!!!!!! read more

Today was my first time visiting Nails BB and I really enjoyed myself! I usually do gel nails at home, but wanted to feel a bit more pampered prior to my wedding day. I called ahead two days before and booked a 0900 appointment. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very kind and professional and when I came in the day of, everyone was warm and welcoming. I got a really nice gel pedicure and a beautiful set of ombre nails that I am obsessed with :) The two women who worked on me were very gentle and detailed and I never felt rushed. Both made sure I truly loved the color/nail shape before proceeding and had no complaints. I totally plan on coming back to get my nails done as a treat to myself :) read more

I finally just left. What a waste of time... what's the point of an appointment if you're going to wait over 30 mins!? Had I stayed, who knows how much longer I would have waited. read more

Nikki, the technician who worked on my nails was incredibly skilled at what she does, but her friendly demeanor and attention to detail truly made the experience unforgettable. I wanna just start off by saying I've felt very disrespected by the receptionist while she raised her voice at me and said no one in the salon wanted to service me at all when all I asked was for my toe nail to get fixed ! We pay the price for it to look nice ! I've been going to Nails BB for years and Mimi is my go to nail tech! I usually get my nails done only once every 4-7 weeks and have never experienced any lifting! Mimi's attention to detail is top tier, you can tell she really cares about the quality of her work and enjoys what she does. No matter what idea I bring to her, she takes on the challenge and executes at a high level. Nails bb is such a beautiful shop, and its sister location Top City Nails, is not too far away if I have to go there instead to catch Mimi on the days she's there. Just go elsewhere. Received a gel manicure on Wednesday 11/21, by Sunday 11/25 all 10 nails had peeled in one solid piece. I've added images with date stamp to prove my point to this business. I called Kat and explained what had happened, booked an appointment for repair on all ten nails for Thursday 11/29. Kat said "we will take care of it". I expected to walk in and get a gel manicure no massage just repair and walk away. Instead, I was charged $15 for the "repair" - the money is irrelevant, but it did not sit well with me that at this point I had paid $39 for a bad manicure and a waste of my time. I paid the $15 and gave a $5 tip, hoping to move forward (after all, it is just nails). Well the manicure again peeled after just one week. I will not be back and hope this helps someone choose another salon. read more

I don't think I will be coming back here after using this salon as my regular place of service. Everytime, I call and make an appointment ahead of time. Yet every single time I go, they take walk-in customers before me, and I end up waiting at least 20 minutes before I am seated for my appointment. I usually don't have a problem with this. However, I came in to get a singular nail fixed as it broke off after just a few days, and they told me I had to come back because I didn't make an appointment. Very disappointing :( read more

In less than two weeks I'm missing 2 nails and the gel has completely come off of 4 other nails. I think because the lady doing my nails shaped them after the gel was applied leaving the sides of my nails bare thus lifting later on. As for the 2 broken nails -- alot of the acrylic lifted near the cuticle making them pretty weak. I have 1 thats hanging on for dear life. Never again. read more

I'll also say that at the more expensive salon, the polish seems to last longer (and I always bring my own color, so perhaps it's a difference in base/top and/or application). The higher end salon is also a little better at callous removal. But for the price and convenience, as someone who basically just goes to get "cleaned up" and not to impress anyone later, I don't have any real complaints. As has been mentioned, they accept credit for payment, but tips need to be in cash. I usually stop in unplanned and often find myself without cash, but fortunately, there's a credit union ATM steps away that solves the problem.

SCAM!! I came in today after booking a Deluxe Manicure through ClassPass, advertised as including…read morehand exfoliation, gel manicure, and dead skin removal. I did not receive the service as advertised. During the appointment, I was talked into adding builder gel to "make my nails grow stronger," but the price was never disclosed. At checkout, I was charged an extra $32. When I questioned the charge, I was told I had received Gel-X and builder gel, which was never clearly explained to me beforehand and does not match what appears to have been done or disclosed in their service board at all. The gel itself was also patchy and uneven, with visible areas where the color did not fully cover the nail. What made this even more frustrating is that I have been here before and received the massage, towels, and other parts of the Deluxe service. This time, when I pointed out that none of that was done, I was told they "don't do that," which was simply not true based on both the ClassPass description and my previous visit. The whole experience felt misleading. I was charged extra without clear pricing, did not receive the service I booked, and when I brought it up, there was no real explanation, apology, or attempt to fix it. Very disappointing, and I will not be coming back.
