Rude people, I guess I should've told them it was my first time there but I didn't nonetheless should've been more attentive. They didn't want to find the nail color I wanted. I got dip, and it didn't turn out the color I wanted. She laughed after I said I didn't like how it turned out. The girl who did my pedi didn't know how to do French, and made them un even. At the time I didn't notice didn't say anything but they are uneven lines. Not sure of names of the girls either.

Mimi is absolutely incredible! It's so difficult to find a salon that can deliver on exactly what is asked and she definitely over delivered in the work she did. This was the best nail salon experience I've had. I was blown away by how quick and precise the service was. I honestly don't know how someone can work that fast while still being so detailed. I haven't seen that level of skill in a long time, and it was truly appreciated. I am beyond pleased with my results (shown below). While they are a bit pricier than other salons, they are 100000% worth every dollar. Thank you to Tim and the rest of the staff for their amazing hospitality and professionalism. I drive from South Bay to Long Beach just to get my nails done by Mimi. This dried flower design she did is absolutely beautiful. Mimi is truly an amazing nail tech and the whole shop has great customer service. It's worth the drive for me.

It's easy to make an appointment and check in to the salon. The location is easy to find and parking is pretty easy. Walking over, I saw tons of colors on their back wall. They have Norma polish, gel, jelly gel, and more. The owner (I think), Brian, is very responsive and provided great customer service. The nail techs I had for my gel manicure and normal pedicure were great. They adjusted things to my preferences and helped me with putting my shoes on afterwards. I love how my nails turned out! The vibe at the salon is clean with serene music. There a few pedicure chairs and they have massage functions. Sadly I messed up some toe nails but they graciously are fixing them. I can't recommend them enough :)

It's crazy to me that this nail shop has almost no bad reviews on Google. I found them from a TikTok video.... Worst mistake I've made in a long time. I am a busy mother of 2, and I hardly ever take time for myself to get my nails or feet done. I'm upset that I wanted to try somewhere new and was very disappointed. My nails came out horrible! Not only did the nail tech Hannah continuously cut my skin and made me bleed... my nails turned out horrible with bubble like texture all over them. I'm addition, I've had better pedicures before. Lynne was sweet, however, the pedi felt rushed. Mind you, I was the only one there. Pedicures shouldn't be rushed! No service should be rushed! Especially if you're paying $95+ I won't be back. read more

Got to leave a bit early from work Friday (12/19) and needed a dip mani. Called around the area to places with 4/5 star reviews and this was the only place that could take me right away. I didn't know what to expect walking into this tiny, quaint little place, but I was pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. Tim worked efficiently and yet, paid attention to detail... and I can also see it in the final result. At one point the electric filer got a little too close to my cuticles (no cuts), but Tim immediately adjusted and made sure it didn't happen again. I asked for a little nail art, a snowflake on the ring fingers, and it was exactly as I pictured! I'll definitely be coming back again! read more

Came in here for a mani pedi in April for my birthday and had to ask the techs to stop about 15 minutes into my services and left. They were very nice, and apologetic, but I just couldn't allow them to continue with my services. I wanted a gel pedicure and had a previous gel on my toes - the woman doing my pedicure didn't know how to use the e-file on the gel on my toes, she was going too fast, and too hard, damaging my toe nails (left indents where she over buffed) and causing me a lot of pain. My manicurist had to stop twice to help her and was showing her how to use it right in front of me. I question if this tech was licensed if she wasn't familiar with a typical gel removal technique. For my nails I was going to do a hard gel fill. The tech was doing an OK job, but manually filing down the hard gel she sliced open the skin surrounding the nail bed on two fingers with the edge and I was bleeding. She said she would put something on it so it didn't get infected. I politely asked them to stop, I had half cured hard-gel on my nails and wildly over buffed toes and went elsewhere. I noticed both of these techs were pulling tools from a kit and there was no inclination of if they were clean/new or changed between clients (they didn't have the prepackaged ones they open in front of you) which was alarming to me considering I was cut in various places. I don't recommend this place, and won't be back myself... but the woman doing my nails mentioned they were under new ownership. Hopefully they can provide better services to others in the future. read more

I was referred to Mimi by a good friend and let me just say she exceeded all expectations. I by mistake only booked for a gel X with color and a pedi. But once I was there I told her that I was interested in design & she executed my cruise nails. I've returned two times after and she always makes my visions come to life. I was searching for places that do gel x and saw Mimi was recommended by many before. I showed her what color I wanted and she let me know she can show me a combination of colors to make it better. She created this moody red just for me! I don't get fake nails often, but these look and feel so real. Vera also did an amazing job on my pedicure with the same color combination. I did a walk in for dip with tips and was seen right away, Mimi was very kind and I will definitely be coming back. She helped me find the closest color to match the picture I showed and understood exactly what I wanted. The chairs were also very comfortable, the nails feel such high quality but for a very affordable price and I can already tell they will last a long time because of the care put in to building the nail up in parts that are usually weaker. read more

This is my first time experimenting with cat-eye, and I am impressed with how nice they make my old hands look. I do dip powder, because it's healthier for the nail, and it's strong enough to last a whole month-in spite of all the gardening and other things I put it through. Their prices make it affordable for me to maintain this habit. But the atmosphere is so casual, relaxed, and humble. All the technicians there are great, but I have been consistently happy with the shape Sophia does on my nails. They have surprisingly good nail products too! Like, they have OPI dip-powder, which I have always used because of its long-lasting capability. If it's time for you to get your nails done, this place I highly recommend.

I stopped going but decided to give this place another try. This past weekend , I came in with my daughter , for a matching manicure. We got rainbow colored nails, but nobody bothered to tell me that it was going to be an up-charge for using different colored nail polish, the only way I fired out the extra charge is by looking at my receipt. I want the business to be upfront with me when that's necessary. They have lost my trust and I am NEVER stepping my foot in this business again. What a shame .

My major takeaway why i wanted to come back was that usually nail salons nip at my cuticle and it gets red/stings. My first time coming to Top City Nails was beyond welcoming. Tammy was the only technician working at my time of arrival and she serviced me with patience and heartfelt respect. She is such a positive soul and genuinely loves creating art!! 10/10 would recommend people to visit if chain nail salons give you anxiety. I regularly come to here to get acrylic fills from Mimi. She is fantastic! She is very professional and does a high quality job. Her work is always consistent and she helps me select the best color I'm looking for. Recently I took my teenage daughter here for her first full set. She was so excited and had a wonderful experience. Mimi listened to exactly what she was looking for and she was thrilled with how her nails turned out. She loves them!
