It is cash only and although I was only doing my feet, when I sat down the older asian lady tells me: YOU PAY NOW! I was completely weirded out, but I paid her. My daughter follows various nail salons on social media and suggested we try Nails by Ann. They were less expensive than what I'm accustomed to paying for an acrylic layover with gel polish and from social media pics their nails looked nice and I decided to give them a try. My nails were beautiful and I was satisfied with my service until half of my nails began to lift less than one week later. I'm a regular when it comes to frequenting nail salon's (15 years) so I'm extremely knowledgeable about properly maintaining nails between refills and can count on one hand how many times I broke a nail and I've only had nails to lift once it's time for a fresh overlay, circa 3 months. I returned to Nails by Ann and when I shared with whom I believe is the owner, my nails were lifting, I was met with the response that it's normal for nails to lift as early as 2-3 days. I didn't want to complain until they corrected the nails that required attention so refrained from ridiculing their work too much. I was a bit taken aback when the 'owner' sarcastically suggested I return back to the salon that usually does my nails - great customer service right! Again, I was content with their service in correcting their mistake but here I am two weeks later, sitting across from my regular nail tech who had to remove the shoddy work of Nails by Ann. If you're looking for cute/fashionable nails, they're the place to go but if you want a QUALITY outcome, stay away and spend your time and money elsewhere! read more

The technicians and the owner were incredibly unprofessional. I have never experienced anything quite like this. My sister had gone once before so I decided to give it a try. Never again. 1) I had to pay upfront in cash - who does that?? 2) I showed the technician (who was completely horrible and had absolutely no costumer skills, if you don't like the line of business your in find something you'll enjoy!) a picture of my nails before - specifically coffin style. If you don't know what that is, don't say you do! She kept going over my flesh with the electric file, I kept pulling on my hand and saying ow and she continued to hurt me. I walked out with my skin on fire and seriously hurt. The "coffin" style she gave me looked nothing like what I had showed her. 3) The owner for some reason kept antagonizing a client that was waiting. She kept calling her a bitch - "bitch what you want", "bitch take off headphone, tell me what you want" just horrible. The technician next to the owner kept throwing the nails of the lady that she was working on at the lady waiting. I have seriously never been to a place so incredibly unprofessional. So I've been hearing on Instagram that this place does great nails looked on the Instagram page and all the nails looked really good. On Friday they open at 9 I arrived at 9:15 and it was 1 person in front of me. It is now 10:08 and I still haven't been service. There customer service is horrible, they make you pay upfront which is really weird. I'm getting a new full set so this whole I could've been soaking my nails off. They need to work on customer service. Period. Work on client requests and satisfactory because your are being paying. First off when you walk in, there are no pleasant looks, smiles or anything. I have been going to this place because its fairly reasonable but to me, when it's all said and done, it's truly quality over quantity. Well to make a long story short, I saw a young lady nails on social media so i brought the picture in to Ann. She did an ok job but I had asked her to just make a few adjustments like not make them so "hump", "shave them down" etc. I also wanted a few stones on my nails. It appeared she got mad. I had been waiting patiently to get my nails done for a while. I was actually getting a refill. She told me that she wasn't going to do my nails and "shooooo'd" me with her hand and told me to go somewhere else up the street to get them done. I looked at her with my hands in a "prayer position" and said please do my nails because I have been waiting for so long. She told me no, to go somewhere else and motioning her hand liked "get out". I had to literally beg her. I keep repeating but I've waited for a long time. I guess she was mad because my previous visit whereas i asked her to do my nails a certain way and when she did them, they didn't look right to me. I thought, ok, since I'm paying for this service, I have right to ask her to make a few adjustments to my liking. Right? Well again, she got mad. So the next time that, i came in she said she didn't want to do my nails. Again, I had pleaded with her. My complaint is that, if the customer is paying, once again, they have the right to explain how they want their nails. That's what great and quality customer service is all about. I can say, Ann does ok work but she need to work on the essence of running a successful business which drives the revenue (money coming in). That's your livelihood. It's always about the customer and their satisfaction in retail. I have found another place that does great work, have great smiles, humble and pleasant people and atmosphere. That being said, I will never look back. That shop has lost a loyal customer because of the negative attitude. It was uncalled for especially if i'm paying and not being disrespectful. I personally LOVE Nails by Ann. I can't speak for anyone else, but every time I've been there the service was quick and professionally done. Make sure you have cash on you, they do not expect credit cards/debit cards; you must pay up front. The older lady can be a bit mean, but I just chalk it up to her age. Due to many pictures on their instagram page, I decided to come and try them out. It's the dirtiest nails shop I've ever been to, the lady at the first table were getting into a yelling contest with a customer due to one of her employee doesn't do pedicure. They're very very hood, most of them can't talk to you without cussing. I were hoping to get a good looking set of nails but after all the cussing and yelling I just left. F..u and bizzzzz are the words you will hear for the entire times you spend at this salon. I were sitting and waiting for more than 45 minutes till my turn but one of their customer came in to ask to get her nail fix and they blame it on her for fighting too much, who does that LOL read more
