The best nail salon ever ! Jennifer , Lee , Lam , David and Tina are all wonderful !!

I was at my dealership, getting an oil change, so I needed a manicure and stop by Tina's nails. The worst service ever. I didn't even get to sit down. They would not open the front door. They made me go around, which was pretty inconvenient I arrive to, the salon and the furniture and everything is super old rundown. And once I sit down, I was told they only take cash. Not sure how this place even thinks that it's OK to only take cash, at least allow Apple Pay, Zelle or Venmo. read more

This nail shop has been here for years because they're good. Jennifer does the best manicures and Lam absolutely the best pedicures. Her foot/leg massages are legendary. You can even request a longer massage (for a fee totally worth it). They don't offer the fancy massage chairs here, but they are also more reasonably priced than most nails shops in the vicinity. They also don't have the largest selection of nail polish colors, but they do a really great job. Parking is available in the back. THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH SO COME PREPARED! read more

My daughter and I went to Tina's Nails today in Encino for a Manicure/Pedicure. Our nail technician was Jennifer - who appeared to be the owner. There were several health violations which occurred during the services that alarmed us. Here are the examples of the unsanitary conditions we experienced: Jennifer did not wash her hands before the service began and had just finished with another customer's feet. Jennifer kept answering the phone (which was not sanitized) in between performing the manicure. She used files, buffers and pumices that were not new and had been used on other customers. She tried to use nippers, that were used on someone else prior, so we asked her to get a pair that were cleaned in the autoclave. She did not know what an autoclave was. She agreed to get a new pair out of a bag in the back of the salon. She had a brown towel on her table that she used to clean nails and surfaces for multiple people. When applying colored nail polish, she used her fingernails to remove the polish that got on the skin. The posted rates said $36 for a manicure.pedicure. She attempted to charge us $38 for the service until we said the sign said $36. She replied, "that is the old rate". I haven't changed the sign yet. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the salon! read more

Wow! This is the worst experience I have ever had in getting my nails done. I am honestly shocked they have 4.5 star reviews. I think these are fake. Let me just say that I am surprised I actually paid money for these but I wanted to get out of there so badly, I was nearly crawling out of my skin. From the beginning, it was a bad experience and I should have just left when it started. I was hoping the technician named Tina would be able to turn things around but it just got worse and worse. Without getting into a whole essay-- here are some of the key points. Then make sure to check out my pictures of how my nails turned out after 2 hours of being there! Let me first start off by saying that the whole time she was making all these mistakes she kept blaming me and everyone else. Also, she was trying to make it seem like the was doing nice things for me when really it was just to cover up her horrible job. Details below... -from the beginning, she glued the tip of my pointer finger on crooked and it was pointing all the way to the left. I pointed it out right away so she could fix it before the super glue dried but said kept denying it was crooked and that it was my nail that was crooked (ummmm I've never once in 31 years have had a crooked nail. Just admit you glued it on crooked and fix it, instead of blaming my nail) -the acrylic she put on was so thin that it literally just looked like the tips were on. When I asked her about it she kept telling me it was fine. Except it wasn't, because when I went to wash my hands (before painting the nails) my finger tip bent and the nail broke! WTF?! I came out and showed her and she asked me what "I did" LMAO! Then she said that I must like it " very, very thick" and she kept repeating it over and over again. I politely told her "no, I just like it normal. This is so thin the tips are bending!" She kept repeating herself. Again, denying that she did it ridiculously thin! Check out my pics and you and see how thin my nails are STILL! -when she went to add more article to my nails, she called the customer that was supposed to come in after me and made up an extravagant lie to postpone his appointment and that really turned me off. Just be honest and say you are running behind! Don't make up a huge lie and keep repeating it to one of your repeat customers. No bueno! -the phones literally rang over and over again and she wouldn't pick it up. She kept saying it "wasn't her job". If you try calling and don't get through-- don't be surprised -all of their nail polish is really old and gewy. You can tell they just keep putting acetone in them to dilute it but it makes the paint come out very thin and blotchy on the nails. Also their tools are old and worn down. Everything needs to be replaced. It was very odd they are working with such worn down tools. Also, is that sanitary? Shouldn't a nail file be replaced after a while? -the acrylic and paint she put on went all on the sides of my nails and instead of fixing it the correct way, she took the cuticle cutter and was trimming it off-- along with my skin! She kept trying to cover up that she is lazily trying to fix what she did by saying that she's cleaning up my cuticles for me but really it was to cover up her sloppy job. Honestly, all the lying and BSing was so irritating that I paid just to get out of there! That was by far the worst experience I've ever had. Really disappointing. PS I met with my friends afterwards and they were literally appalled when they say what my nails looked like LOL Smh! DON'T GO! read more

I've been coming here for over 25 years since I was 17. My mom owned a beauty salon but I still got my nails done here. Jennifer is the best at manicures and acyrlic/gels. She is a perfectionist and because of that spends hour's with you. Lamb is the best at pedicures and gives me a fantastic and long leg and foot massage. Lam is amazing in pedicure. She takes the time to do your toes and it will look spectacular. Got a gel mani here today and I am very happy with the way it turned out, Jennifer was very detail oriented and careful when doing my nails, I know they're not easy because they are so small! Extremely dirty!!! Run, do not go in. Those people that gave this place 5 stars must not have eyes or are dirty themselves. What in the heck. How is this place still open? I felt like I was in a disgusting old office with ripped carpet, old furniture. Such a depressing place. There is no way to relax in this salon, I should have walked right out when I saw the place. I was extremely confused with the reviews. The people who run and operate this salon are just dirty people. There is no sugar coating it. They reuse the same nail file and buffer on everyone without sanitizing them. The buffer was so old that there was no grid left on it. I'll be surprised not to get a fungus on my toes. I don't care that they don't gossip but I want to go to a sanitary establishment. Very limited polish choices. She used a water bottle cap to pour the acetone in, to clean my nails. Wow, really? Times are that tough? Most nail places in valley are gross from my experience, and this place was no exception. I was desperate for a pedicure and was in the area. I'm from Glendale area and they have much more cleaner, and sanitary salons. I messed up. Never again. She (didn't ask her name) did a decent job on my pedicure but again, at some point she was cleaning the excess polish with her dirty nails. Unsanitary and just weird. I paid, put my sandals on and literally ran out. Oh lord, the board needs to walk into this salon and shut them down. read more

I have very dry cuticles and sensitive nails. I can't even count how many salons I've tried and wound up with cuts, hangnails, and dremel burns. David at Tina's Nails is soooo gentle! He takes his time and really cares that his clients are happy; he is absolutely meticulous and my nails always look fabulous. After reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to go here for pink and white acrylic new set. I signed up to David, because he has a good review here. My pedicure was OK, foot massage was Great! The nails on my hands are just terrible. They don't do pink and white acrylic, only white tips (and glue new tips every second fill up, which to my understanding damage nails very very bad!!). So I asked just for regular acrylic and a french tip regular color). On the second day my nails started clipping from the tips, in 2-3 days almost my every nail has a space between my nail and acrylic. Dirt was getting inside!!!. In a week, I went to a gym and when I come out, I saw that one nail is missing. I didn't even feel how it happened. Unbelievable bad service! I read more

Parking behind the building, DON'T park on Ventura Blvd Don't get put off by the interior ...... I was! But I decided to go in anyways ...... the seats are old office chairs, there are no spa chairs and they use plastic square bowls to do your pedicures etc. However, I had a fabulous pedicure, absolutely wonderful, with no issues; the people there are so nice, the boss lady is quite a character, but I would go back again in a heartbeat. I usually go to a place in the other direction, which is much swankier and much more expensive, but I would definitely come back here to this place as my first choice, as long as you're not looking for a 'spa mani pedi' place, then this is NOT the place for you ........
