She was very knowledgeable, personable and patient. Even when she tried the color I asked for and turned out I wanted to change it, she did it with ease and made sure I was happy with the new color I chose. Been coming here for a few years now & they still continue to provide A-plus service. Tommy do my nails & Tina do my pedicures, but everyone here does an excellent job. My nails last for 6wks plus. Staff is always very friendly, salon is always super clean & they line the pedicure bowl with plastic liners. I make appointments & never have to wait too long. On a whim, I decided to go get a pedicure this morning. My wife always goes to Kim Loan and I have been a couple of times. I have been talking about getting a pedi for the past couple of weeks so today I finally went and took care of my feet. Personally, I don't think guys take good enough care of their feet. I'm on my feet all day, every day. Mile after mile, they take me everywhere I need to go. From by big toe that helps me balance down to my pinky toe that helps me find furniture in the dark, they are important to me. It might not be a macho thing to do and some of my friends laugh at me for getting pedicures but honestly I don't care. It is very relaxing to have someone else take care of your feet and end it with an unbelievable foot rub that includes my ankles and calves. C'mon guys! Don't knock it until you've tried it. As I mentioned in a previous review, Nails by Kim Loan is a very clean place. I don't want to come in for a pedicure and leave with onychomycosis. They put disposable plastic liners in each foot tub to help with cleanliness. I like that. I don't want to put my feet in someone else's foot cheese. Kim runs a clean, first-class operation here and I am glad to give her my business. Appointments are preferred and the fastest way to get in and out. Today I was a walk-in and had to wait for about 30 minutes prior to getting my pedi. Coincidentally, two of my Yelp friends, Felicia B and Monica F both recommend scheduling Tina for pedicures and that is luckily who I got. The pedicure was good but her foot rub and calf massage are fantastic. A pedicure cost $25 + tip. After the week I have had, it was a $30 well spent. I highly recommend Nails by Kim Loan. TIP: Since Kroger has left the strip center, parking is a breeze. read more

Always hit or miss with this nail salon. I've come here 3 times and each time was not the best experience. Tony does a fantastic job!! Everyone else makes me question how they have their license to do nails. Today I was taken care my Tamy and she started off with a bad attitude. 4.9 stars! I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant because I don't like the strip mall nail salons, particularly this strip mall. When you walk in you'll notice that the salon is very clean. Some salons you walk into you can see right off the bat that it's not very well kept. My advice: u'turn! But not here. I WILL keep coming back though because each time a customer sits down they line the sinks with a plastic bag made for sanitary purposes. You're not putting your tosies in someone else's foot funk! Today was my first time to ever go. I was so excited to get my nails done because of the "good" reviews I've seen. My nails are terrible I could cry. The lady who worked on me is named Katy. She was sweeet and first until it got to me telling her I did not like them. She did them to thick and I would nicely tell her ma'am they are to thick can we make them thinner she grabbed my little fingers and squeezed them so hard. When the filing came I asked her if we could do them square she did the opposite and I asked her to please fix them when I did she filed so hard and cut me so deep and she pulled my finger so I wouldn't see but I felt blood dripping. I asked her again they are to thick and to just please fix the shape she did not she would get mad at me and hurt my fingers. I'm so upset I wish I would have never gone. read more

I first came here because it was right across from the apartments I lived in when I lived in League City and it turned out to be a great nail salon. I have been going here for years whether I live around the corner or 45 mins away. It is so worth the drive. The staff are always helpful and do a wonderful job. They always remember me by name and how I like my nails even when I haven't been there in years. I especially appreciate that all the staff consistently wear masks now due to Covid although they don't require guests to do so. Why oh why didn't I learn about this place sooner! On a referral from fellow Yelper, Felicia, I came here after having many an issue with the nail salon I was going to. I was referred to Tommy for my nails and Tina for my pedicure. Tommy was so gentle and so meticulous ... not like my last nail tech who would on occasion drill into my nail bed (ouch!). And he actually took the time to ask me questions about myself to get to know me and thanked me, by name, when we were done! Tina was just amazing ... so detailed! I am on my feet all day long selling real estate (in 4" and 5" heels I might add), so my feet tend to get rough, and Tina just took the time to really tend to my specific needs! This place is clean, too, and I mean really clean! Not like the last nail salon I went to that had dirty floors and dust everywhere (yuck)! I assume they don't offer complimentary beverages since I wasn't offered one, but honestly I would rather get stellar service than a bottle of purified water that comes from the Pasadena Municipal Water Supply! I got a mani/pedi here before leaving for a vacation. All the employees I interacted with were very friendly and made an effort to talk to me and make sure I got what I wanted. The place seemed very clean to me and I noticed they cleaned the foot bath and put a plastic bag in it before I went over there. I went on a Saturday so I called and made an appointment beforehand, but it was not busy. It started to get busy while I was there though. The reason for my 3 star rating is because I got shellac on my fingernails and the polish started peeling after 2 days. 2 days! I was on vacation for a week and by the end of my trip the polish had mostly peeled off of at least 4 nails. Will not be returning for this reason. read more

I originally came here for a dip set and pedicure, but there are very minimal color options for dip. So instead I just got the pedicure. My nail tech didn't ask me any questions on what type of pedicure I wanted, what shape I wanted nails, or anything. All she asked was what color I wanted. She rushed through the pedicure and I felt like she didn't do a diligent job. I still had some dead skin that could be taken off, she didn't put polish on my full nails, and it was sloppy. My friend next to me also got a pedicure and I saw her nail tech do an extremely thorough job. Would not come here again. read more

I had to amend this review because I'm so dissatisfied. My last gel mani barely made it five days. Worse, the nail tech used an electric grinding tool on my natural nails that has left them in horrible condition. But the icing on the cake was when I called to inquire about a refund. The staff are always sweet. They never forget a face and even remembered my children. My nails turn out exactly as I expect and I'm picky. Although I call to make an appointment to see my favorite tech, when I walk in a customer sits down at my scheduled time with tech I requested. Kim and her Scheduler offer no apology and will not even look me in the face. I have put up with sitting there waiting 10-15 minutes but after the 2nd time of being totally ignored when asked why tech is not available for my appointment. I loved it. I normally go to the mall because I enjoy walking around before or after getting my pedicure. This nail salon happens to be right by my home and I decided to go there before picking up my son from school. It was really quiet and a layer back atmosphere which was the best part. They also have OPI nail polish. I went on a Tuesday and spent 25.00 for a spa pedicure which to me is a pretty good deal she did a really nice job. read more

My Grandmother used to adore this salon. I, however, received a fungal infection, free of charge. The salon is not clean and it is near impossible to communicate with any of the technicians. I do not appreciate having to stress over trying to convey the nail shape, design and so on, so forth. Manicure and pedicure services are designed to be relaxing and healthy. Unfortunately, with so many low quality and dangerous salons opening in addition to the ignorance of the public, fungal infections and even life threatening scenarios are now the norm. I recommend asking licenced Cosmetologists for their favorite salons. I, as a student, took my instructor's advice and booked an appointment with Skin Essentials. Youtube nail salon experience gone wrong and Google the importance of safe salon practice. Do not endanger your health for okay nails. read more

i went to get my nails done and told kim what i wanted but i did not like the length of the nails so i told her i would like them longer and after that point she had the worst attitude and was so upset because i wanted her to make them longer, she threw her rag down and told me to sit somewhere else. then the other lady i was sent to asked what i wanted and i told her and she was doing such a sloppy half a** job and didn't care about her attitude either. she didn't even finish my first 3 fingers after i said just to take them off and she left my finger nails cut and ugly. moral of the story they can do basic things and polish but if they cannot do what i ask for then they just need to say they can't instead of trying for something they cannot do, i do not recommend this place at all.. read more

My mother started going here before me and I finally decided to go after being unhappy elsewhere. I will never use another place ever. I love it, its clean, they greet every person by name if they know your name like a regular, if not they still greet you. I was getting powder colors for years and they got me hooked on shellac color it last longer and i can wear a full set for 3 or 4 weeks without any issues. I refer all my friends here and i used them when i got married a couple months ago and brought all my bridesmaids. I love them they are great. I don't do pedi's' cause i don't like my feet being touched but my husband and mother in law loved it. They even ask about my family and its awesome compared to every other place i go that just wants my money and does what they want to my hands. read more
