Terri is always a pleasure. Great facial. I feel they need a…read morenew receptionist. She is not friendly over the phone, and also not in person, at all. When you think of spa receptionist you think face of the spa, bubbly, and well kept/put together. This woman is rough in her mannerism, tone and was in a huge sweatshirt with hair in a dirty bun like she just got back from from the gym or a nap. Hate to say this but the face of your spa needs to be someone inviting! It's a true Shame because Terri is great, but this could be a major turn off for potential clients! I know the phone call interactions and the in person interactions with the receptionist tainted my overall experience. When I came last year it was a woman named Amy and she was very sweet, and helpful.

As long as I've seen this spa, I have been holding onto a couple of gift cards for Spa Week and Spa Finder. Every place I frequent isn't a business that honors them, but when surfing the list of businesses that do, I saw Serenity on the list. Before booking an appointment I called the business to confirm the cards were accepted - yay, they take them (both)! Or so she said. I booked a manicure appointment for mom and I. Day of arrival we parked on the street (at a meter), not knowing the business has a parking lot behind the building for customers (manicurist shared with us during appt). That might have been worth mentioning Ms. Receptionist. The space looks small from the outside but inside is very spacious but dated; the Manicure Room is cute, but could use some updates as well. The nail color selection is limited and flat (none of the new stuff). The manicurist were great - took their time and polished well. Upon check out I presented both cards, one for my mom to use and one for myself. The reception said they didn't take Spa Week, I told her when I called the receptionist said they did. Whatevs, but I know what I was told. On my second visit (2 weeks later), I booked a mani and pedi, but the manicurist I booked with was no longer employed there, so I was very surprised because I wasn't notified. The new girl was good too, so I was satisfied, but normally a call with the option to keep or cancel appointment is my practice. The business sends frequent email blasts that let you know about specials and pricing, which the prices have spiked, as of April. A regular manicure will now cost $30, color gel mani $55, basic pedi $55. These new prices will determine the frequency of my visits.

She had an excellent understanding of pressure points and muscle tension, and she consistently checked in to ensure the pressure was comfortable yet effective. Kay's technique was both precise and intuitive. She was able to identify tight areas immediately and worked through them with a perfect balance of firmness and care. Throughout the session, her professionalism, attentiveness, and skill made the entire experience incredibly relaxing and therapeutic. The spa environment was clean, calming, and well-maintained, which added to the overall experience. I left feeling noticeably lighter, refreshed, and with significant relief from muscle tension. I highly recommend Spa Nature Land and especially Kay for anyone seeking a high-quality deep tissue massage. I will definitely be returning.

Gosh I LOVE this place. I've been coming here for almost a year, and I've had a consistently good…read moreexperience. A friend recommended their postpartum package to me, so I purchased a pack of 10 postpartum massages to use immediately after giving birth. And do go right after you give birth! I went a month postpartum and apparently I was late haha. The masseuses squeeze your ribs/organs back to sleep since baby pushes all our organs up, and they squeezed the swelling out too because per the masseuses, the swelling of water eventually turns to fat if the swelling isn't reduced. The 20min infrared sauna at the end of the 60min massage is so intense and hot, but I always sweat soo much so I definitely think it works. I am convinced all moms should participate in the postpartum massages, and I'm not saying I lost all my pregnancy weight due to the massages but I think the massages helped tremendously with it. I also have enjoyed many oketani A massages, and gosh those help so much with my clogged ducts and engorgement from breastfeeding. This is the only place I've found that offers oketani massages, and I consider myself lucky for only needing to drive 40-60mins to get to Spa Natureland for the massages because I'd probably drive even further if I didn't live 40-60mins out. Lastly, I've gotten a facial and head spa service here too, and both were fantastic. The head spa left my scalp so refreshed and clean, it was so so nice. The rooms here are simple but clean and quiet. I always park outside on the street (free for 2hrs, although I don't think anyone ever actually checks), but I think they have a small lot with a few spots too if you needed it. Highly, highly recommend this place!! I've recommended it to many friends too.

I was really excited to visit King Spa in Palisades Park while I was in the tri-state area. I had…read morebeen to the King Spa in Niles, IL several times and absolutely loved it, so I was expecting a similar relaxing experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling completely disappointed and more stressed than relaxed. I went on a Monday morning hoping to avoid crowds and have a peaceful day. Things started off on the wrong foot almost immediately. While I was simply checking the size of the uniform, holding it up to see if there was a difference in the width, an employee came over and snatched the second pair out of my hand as if I was trying to take something I shouldn't have. It was not a great way to start when I had barely gotten in the door. Next, the layout was also really confusing. The spa is spread across multiple floors with different sections and stairways, but no one explained where anything was or how to navigate the space. I spent a lot of time in the morning trying to figure out where I was and it felt like I was nosing around someone else's house: uncomfortable. The biggest issue, though, was communication. A woman in the locker room offered my niece and me a deal for two massages for $140 ($70 each) and asked me to send the money through Zelle. I sent $170, including what I thought was a generous tip of over 20%. She arranged the appointment, but I didn't confirm what type of massage I wanted. I foolishly assumed they would ask before starting. We had lunch beforehand - the food was delicious and the portion was huge. Unfortunately, they don't offer to-go boxes, so I needed to reschedule our massages in order to finish my meal. Before even finishing my meal, I went to the massage counter to see if we reschedule our appointments. A younger patron helped translate at the massage desk, but she needed my time slot and took it for herself. She told me the woman would help me reschedule and then left. When I tried to figure out my new time, the interaction felt rushed and dismissive. I was given time without being asked if it worked for me, and when I asked about other options, I was told there were none. I would have cancelled but had already paid, so I took the L. When it was finally time for the massage, we were taken back without anyone asking what type of massage we wanted. I realized my mistake because it was a much more intense massage style and is not my preference. At that point though, after so many rushed and uncomfortable interactions, I honestly didn't feel comfortable advocating for myself to tell them I wanted reflexology. The final issue happened while I was changing before leaving. The same woman who arranged the massage came over and told me I hadn't paid enough tip. I was confused because... it was a tip. She told me I owed another $20 and (to add insult to injury) that I couldn't get my license back from the front desk until I paid. That brought the tip to over 35% on a service I didn't choose and didn't enjoy. I came to King Spa looking for rest and relaxation, but instead left feeling like I had spent my hard-earned money somewhere that never quite felt comfortable and certainly not welcomed.

We spent about 5 hours here on this trip, but I definitely could have stayed longer. There is a parking lot a block or two down the street, as a treat parking is limited. I booked the Paradise Premium package for my husband's birthday, which included a 40 min Korean body scrub, a 1 hr deep tissue massage, and a 1hr foot reflexology massage. My only complaint was that they purposely assigned three different staff members for the three different services, which felt a bit disruptive. On the bright side, I really enjoyed my female scrubber and masseuse by Linda and Nancy, though I didn't care for the male masseuse as much. For amenities, there are two main saunas in the co-ed area. I loved the clay mud ball room, it was a unique twist! They also have a Himalayan salt room, which was enjoyable, though it didn't get very hot. When you check in you have to give your credit/debit card, or ID, or car keys in order to be given an electronic locker key to keep your belongings. You then select a spa "outfit" (pants and shirt) in your size. In the next area you remove your shoes and put them in a cubby.
