Sadly, Superco and Ocean Star are both gone, but rising from the ashes is a bunch of fun stuff, like Smoking Tiger and this jumbo-sized nail salon next door, Magical Nails. Nothing too magical about it, but this busy salon has about 10,000 polish shades to choose from, and a printed menu with prices so you know what you're getting and how much it will be. All the salon chairs have the back massage function which kills two birds with one stone. Easy parking right in front, walk-ins welcome, and no waiting for your mani-pedi. I stuck my nose in to have a look, and was getting beautified just a few moments later. Minus one star for some unnecessary upselling, and a sour face from the greeter when I declined. But a free bottle of water cheered me up. Would I go back? Yes.

I've had a few different people do my pedicures and they've all been great. Depending on the service I do pay between $40 and $60 for gel as I always add callus removal. I came in with a reference photo from your own page and clearly explained what I wanted. When the tips were first applied, they were wide and not the shape I asked for. Before acrylic was even applied, I politely spoke up so I wouldn't end up paying for something I didn't like. That is normal as a paying client. Instead of being understanding, Kristy immediately responded with attitude and said, "you're going to make me take them off?" Whether you choose to deny that or not, that was said, and it set the tone for the entire appointment. I even apologized in the moment because of how uncomfortable the interaction became. After she removed and reapplied the tips, she asked me about length. I did NOT ask her to choose for me--I simply asked what length was used in the reference photo so I could choose something similar. That's when her attitude got worse. She became dismissive and irritated, saying it was my responsibility to know my length. Asking for clarification is not being difficult. Your response focuses heavily on technicalities (length, time, process), but completely ignores the actual issue: the way I was spoken to. This was about attitude and professionalism. I was not rude, I was not difficult, and I was not asking for anything unreasonable. I was simply trying to communicate what I wanted before moving forward with a full set I was paying for. The situation became uncomfortable enough that I stopped the service. I was then left with tips still on my nails and had to ask for them to be cut down. Even then, I was left with plastic tips still on the edges of my nails. Also, mentioning that "camera footage was reviewed" does not change my experience. If anything, if that footage truly supports your claim, then feel free to share it. I am not backing down from what I experienced. I know how I was spoken to, and I am 100% certain that the attitude I received was not appropriate. What I described is exactly what happened, and dismissing it as untrue is simply downplaying a client's experience. At the end of the day, clients should be able to ask questions or request adjustments without being met with irritation or made to feel like a problem. It just bothers you that unfortunately you're getting called out and I'm basically doing this to prevent someone else having a bad experience. I'm not going to stay quiet.

My appointment time came and the salon was still closed (I just want to note that my appointment time was 30 minutes after their opening time) and I was waiting outside, unsure if I should just leave or wait. I ended up messaging Trulycure for an update and didn't get an answer. A lady showed up about 5-10 minutes later to open the door, asked if I needed a pedicure and then to sit down on one of the chairs. Now the chairs were really nice, but did not have a built in spa. She had to bring over a tub of water. I wasn't asked which pedicure service I want (I later saw there were multiple options on their menu) and asked me what color I wanted. Andrew had walked in while I was getting my pedicure done. He worked on removing my old set of gelx that I got done elsewhere and put a new set (he did an excellent job at this). I opted for a cat eye effect on my nails since he mentioned there is a promotion at the time. I thought Trulycure is somewhere I want to go back to but after reflecting on my experience of waiting without any communication they were going to be tardy, pedicure gal cutting my toe nails oddly to the point where my big toe nail is growing out not the way I like and the cat eye not being a cat eye (looks like a layer of glitter polish applied), I was completely ready to go back to my usual place.

I came here for a gel removal many months ago, and Nana was really gentle, so I wanted her again. My appt was noon with Nana but she was still with another client. I waited for about 20min. She was VERY quick with my mani, but it looked great! She did my pedi and callus removal afterwards and again, looked perfect. I got all that done in just an hour! I know a lot of ppl are complaining they're 'too' fast BUT, I've been to other nail salons that take FOREVER and I just wanna leave. I think are efficient and time is money. Salon is also organized, clean and bright. I would definitely keep coming back.
