5% discount on a bill that I did not receive full service for. The service I received was around $52.

I've been a loyal customer of C'est L'amour Nail Salon since they opened their Newhall location and have experienced a range of service levels over time. Today, I scheduled an appointment for a basic manicure and an upgraded pedicure (Sea Breeze). I was told they had a 4:30 PM opening and that the same technician would perform both services back-to-back. I was given an estimated service time of about 1.5 hours, depending on the pedicure package I selected. I arrived early at 4:14 PM and was seated promptly. The technician began my pedicure right away. I opted for the upgraded package because I was looking for a relaxing experience--this was my last pedicure before giving birth, and I wanted it to last. Unfortunately, the experience was rushed and disappointing. The pedicure, which is advertised to take 40-45 minutes, was completed in just 25 minutes. Corners were clearly cut. The same rushed approach was taken with the basic manicure, which was finished in only 15 minutes, despite the advertised 25-30 minutes. One of the key features--the sugar scrub lotion massage--was essentially skipped. The technician handed me the scrub and instructed me to rub it on myself, then returned just to rinse my hands. I was still charged for the full service. After completing both services in just 45 minutes, I was left sitting for an additional 10 minutes with no communication from the technician, who had disappeared. I raised my concerns with the front desk employee, who was professional and not at fault. She connected with a manager over the phone, and I was offered a 5% discount--equivalent to just $3.40 for my $68 bill. Frankly, this felt like an insult given how much of the service was lacking. I don't mind paying for quality service, but when the service is rushed, incomplete, and far below expectations, it's only fair that the pricing reflects that. At this point, the issue goes beyond just one employee--it points to a broader management problem. When staff are consistently cutting corners while management continues to charge premium prices, it reflects poorly on the business as a whole.

I love the cleanliness and service! The quality is great and I love the location. You can enjoy getting your nails done and then have lunch next door or grab a treat at the loaf!

I went to this place for the first time about a month ago and got my nails done by a nail tech who…read morewas AWESOME! Her acrylic fill was really beautiful - the only thing is that she didn't ask me if I wanted them trimmed... luckily my nails were still pretty short from my previous fill so it didn't really matter at that time. When I went to go pay, my receipt said $40 and the lady checking me out told me that next time there would be an extra charge for the length of my nail (medium-long I think?), so it would actually be $45. But because my receipt said $40 they would honor it. I was like cool that's fair thanks for honoring the $40 (it said "starts at $40" or something on the booking app when I was booking my appt.) I went in again 2 weeks later and saw a different nail tech. She was really cool, she gave me some advice about maybe trying Gel X sometime and was telling me the benefits of Gel X vs acrylics (and I have been doing acrylics for a LONG time). Honestly she pretty much sold me on switching over... But there were just a couple of things that I felt were weird. The first weird thing was that when I asked for her to trim my nails, she said it would be a $5 charge! I have NEVER been charged to trim my nails at any salon before. My nails aren't even that long, I have to keep them at a reasonable length because I have kids and I wouldn't be able to function if they were super long. So I was like.. ok well maybe with the base price of $40, they have to upsell.. But now I'm technically at $50 for a fill (nail length and then nail trim), but whatever. Then I pick a color - glittery green for an event I was going to. The glitter colors on that form didn't have any kind of extra charge that I could see - others had like $10 or $15 extra charge for designs/cateye etc, and the upcharge was written on those little forms with all the nail colors you can get. But I don't recall seeing anything for the glitter colors. When I went to go check out... the price ended up being $55!! I was pretty shocked. I should have probably questioned it at the counter but honestly I figured I would just go elsewhere for my next fill cuz I didn't really wanna deal with fighting my receipt that day. Just wasn't in the mood. The acrylic fill I got the second time was OK, but she had superglued my index nail because it was lifting before the fill..which I had also never seen done before. Usually my nail techs will cut that part off then buff it down before continuing the fill, but she literally just superglued my nail down. Then a week later my index nail lifted completely lol. The tech DID tell me that I was due for a complete new set, which I was planning to do at my next appointment with Gel X, but I'll be doing that at a different salon that is a bit more transparent with their pricing... A bummer, because this place is actually pretty nice! And everyone I talked to was very nice too. I honestly just don't really like the unusual (to me) extra charges that started popping up as I was getting my nails done. I have been to quite a few nail salons and being charged for both a nail trim AND my nail length just doesn't feel right. I've seen different charges for almond vs square (which I have), and I think that's fair cuz I know it's easier to shape square than almond. I would still recommend this place overall because the vibe is really nice and so are the people, they burn incense and I LOVE that smell- just maybeee... clarify the final tab before going through with any services? Or something!

By June 16 my whole pinky nail had already fallen off. By June 13th my nails were already lifting. I called on the 16th and let them know that my nail had broken that they were lifting and they said that their warranty is only for two days and that that's the longest warranty in all Santa Clarita, which is a huge lie. Two days is nothing. By June 20th a whole Other nail had also fallen off. I've been getting acrylics for years. I'm super disappointed in the customer service and in the work. When I called she said I could schedule a soak off but she'd charge. SMH terrible. I left pictures that can't really tell but they're lifting. All of them

My baby is 7 months old now and I haven't had a mani/pedi since before he was born, so I decided to treat myself to some much-needed self-care today. I was surprised and delighted when I arrived at Minaillium to find the entire place renovated from top to bottom! It looks clean, fresh, and absolutely gorgeous! The design elements they chose are rich, tasteful, and elegant. Everything is fresh and new, even the nail colors! The chairs are comfortable and all the massage chairs work properly, I truly felt pampered, like I was getting a spa experience. They have a myriad of choices for nail colors and can literally do any design you can dream up. The nail technicians at Minaillium are fast and more skilled than any other place I have tried. Plus, somehow the prices are still reasonable and they don't overcharge for every little thing. Sometimes they are short-staffed on weekends and you may have to wait, but it's always worth it. I will be a life-long customer here as long as I live in Newhall.

From the moment I called to ask whether an appointment was needed, I felt welcomed. I was told walk-ins were accepted and invited to come now, which I did. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly. I asked about the pricing for a full set of acrylics on which the price was very reasonable, and I was promptly seated. Daniel took the time to look at my previous nail work, listened carefully to what I wanted, and offered a few options to achieve the best result. His confidence and professionalism immediately put me at ease--and I'm glad I trusted him. In just a little more than 30 minutes, my nails went from messy to absolutely perfect. In past visits to the area, I had tried other salons and never quite got the results I wanted. This place got it right. Daniel used a transparent hard gel instead of acrylic and finished them with a clean white polish, which is my usual style. They look fantastic. While the salon isn't fancy, it's genuine, efficient, and focused on quality. You can tell they have a loyal clientele--they know their customers by name, which speaks volumes about the consistency of their service. This is a great option for manicures and pedicures, and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended.
