Today I went to the location on Golden Valley location; staff is very nice however I went for a manicue and pedicure, remove gel from toe nails. Although I said I wanted a pedicure after my gel removal she kept saying I know; in the end all she did was remove gel and nail polish; no pedicure. I paid $60, my manicure was only to clean up my cuticles and clear polish, the service felt rushed and sloppy. will not go there again. read more

Used to come here often to get my acrylics done, never my toes. Leaving for vacation tomorrow so my sister scheduled an appointment about a week ago for TWO pedicures. I was there when she called. She confirmed it about a million times that it would be two pedicures. We came in today and they said they only have us booked for one pedicure, and the person who was supposed to do our nails wasn't even there yet. She was still on her way. So waited a long time for that but then they said my sister's nails would take over an hour so I decided not to get it. Fast forward 15 minutes, her toes are already done (even tho the girl said over an hour). I still can't get my toes done though since she booked someone after her. Plus I wouldn't pay 50 dollars anyways for a 15 minute nail appointment. Not coming back! read more

I've been a loyal customer of C'est L'amour Nail Salon since they opened their Newhall location and have experienced a range of service levels over time. Today, I scheduled an appointment for a basic manicure and an upgraded pedicure (Sea Breeze). I was told they had a 4:30 PM opening and that the same technician would perform both services back-to-back. I was given an estimated service time of about 1.5 hours, depending on the pedicure package I selected. I arrived early at 4:14 PM and was seated promptly. The technician began my pedicure right away. I opted for the upgraded package because I was looking for a relaxing experience--this was my last pedicure before giving birth, and I wanted it to last. Unfortunately, the experience was rushed and disappointing. The pedicure, which is advertised to take 40-45 minutes, was completed in just 25 minutes. Corners were clearly cut. The same rushed approach was taken with the basic manicure, which was finished in only 15 minutes, despite the advertised 25-30 minutes. One of the key features--the sugar scrub lotion massage--was essentially skipped. The technician handed me the scrub and instructed me to rub it on myself, then returned just to rinse my hands. I was still charged for the full service. After completing both services in just 45 minutes, I was left sitting for an additional 10 minutes with no communication from the technician, who had disappeared. I raised my concerns with the front desk employee, who was professional and not at fault. She connected with a manager over the phone, and I was offered a 5% discount--equivalent to just $3.40 for my $68 bill. Frankly, this felt like an insult given how much of the service was lacking. I don't mind paying for quality service, but when the service is rushed, incomplete, and far below expectations, it's only fair that the pricing reflects that. At this point, the issue goes beyond just one employee--it points to a broader management problem. When staff are consistently cutting corners while management continues to charge premium prices, it reflects poorly on the business as a whole. read more

I got my gel nails done here on Saturday 1/3/26, and by Monday they were already chipped and one nail had broken. That alone is unacceptable for gel nails, which are supposed to last much longer. I went back to have them fixed, and when I left, one of the nails didn't even have a top coat. I had to return again just to get that corrected. During that visit, the nail tech said something in her language to a colleague that clearly felt disrespectful, especially considering this was their mistake, not mine. The lack of professionalism and customer service was shocking. If you make an error, own it--don't insult the customer for asking you to fix your work. Between the poor-quality nails and the rude, disrespectful attitude, I will never be coming back. I do not recommend this place. read more

Made an appointment with 5 days notice. The day of my appointment they called to confirm my appointment, only to call me back 15 minutes later leaving a voicemail that there was scheduling conflict and if they could move my time. Without me agreeing to the new appointment time. I received a text that my appointment time had changed. I had an event to attend that day and the new time would now work. Which is why I made it with 5 days notice at that specific time. Very unprofessional, and will not be coming back. Called and asked for a appointment and got fit in within an hour of calling and it did not disappoint. I've been to more than 5 nail salons in SCV for a good decent pedicure and it has been extremely difficult to find one I like. I am a nail tech and can be very picky about how a tech polishes the nail perfectly without leaving any missed spots or polish bleeding on skin. I look for over all cleanness, service, shaping and polish technique. I got a tropical pedicure ($50) not including tip and it was an hour and it was great! Came in for a pedicure and service was amazing. They have different packages for the pedicures and I chose the tropical one, which comes with a callus treatment and paraffin wax.
