I can't believe my NexGen manicure only lasted TEN DAYS!!! By day 10 I got 3 cracks in different nails. Usually my NexGen nails done at other salons last more than three weeks before any damage, if any at all. Right after my manicure I noticed my nail shape wasn't the greatest and the application of the powder was kinda bad too. Debbie was the one who did my nails, she was nice but was very quick through everything. Didn't really let my nails soak in the acetone very long either. She ended up just buffing out the powder. Walked in and was seen right away. I was going to get a quick polish change but the manicure wasn't much more so I opted for that instead. There was a few strands of cotton coming out of my nails once the polish was on so I wouldn't say it's the best quality but the manicure was really inexpensive, so I wasn't expecting much. Can I add that they use sanitized tools!!! I absolutely loved that part. I'm definitely going again since it was pretty quick and affordable. I wouldn't go if you're into perfection. read more

I have not one complaint. I recently moved to Mckinney and some of my favorite shops are in Dallas and I didn't feel like driving so I found them on google and made an appointment. I was able to get in and out in less than a hour; which is definitely a plus for me because of my work schedule! I received the chocolate pedicure and it definitely made my feet and legs feel amazing! The hot stones to the arch of my feet were definitely a plus! I had really rough callouses on my heels and even though it is going to take more than one pedicure. The technician definitely smoothed it out pretty well! I definitely see myself coming back especially since they have a lot of pedicure options (that I am not use to seeing) at prices ranging from $30 to $60 and that is definitely a steal especially since you get a bang for your buck! read more

One of the worst pedicure I've ever had. I went around 12:00 p.m so there was no wait time, and that's the one and only good thing. 1st.. the water was way too HOT, like it was nothing but hot water. 2nd... When he was filing my nails it's hurt because he cut my nails way too low. 3rd... He tried to PULL the little hangnail on my pinky toe instead of clipping it, I can't even explain the pain! 4th... Me being licensed nail tech for many years knows how to properly do a nice pedicure, this lady was cutting corners and not using the utensils correctly which causes a painful ineffective pedicure I won't return. Plus she was texting and timing the pedicure on her phone she rushed the whole time. It was like a 10 minute pedicure. I doubt that she is licensed. read more

I walked in with a picture of rainbow ombré nails and asked "Can you do this?" I was assured they could. I also asked for an American Classic pedicure. They decided to do both at the same time. As you can see from the photo there's no ombré, they wouldn't put glitter on them (the blue and green already were glitter based) and the purple looks non purple. I was told by the younger girl who works here (Diane) that the older staff is untrained in ombré and therefore could not possibly give me what I asked for (I was told this the next day after I reached out). Why didn't they just say no? My technician Thursday night was an older lady who did t want to do my nails in the first place. Technician here was sort of rude and didn't like having to do five colors. Woke up this morning to extremely sore fingers. Ive got multiple cuts that really hurt. The polish is see through in parts and honestly this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. When I went three months ago the place was stellar. Yesterday was awful. I contacted the business as I'd like a refund. Because I was "double teamed" and the pedicure as taking place, the older lady told the younger one to skip certain parts of my pedicure. My feet were barely soaked, not scrubbed, lotioned up and painted. That's it. The massage chair was never turned on as the older lady said it would interfere with her work. Near the end I kept repeating "These are supposed to be GLITTER OMBRÉ nails" and was ignored. The colors used were awful and see through or splotchy. The thumb nail is now infected. I reached out to Diane who offered to do a redo, which I appreciated, but when you've been treated like crap and spent $80 for nothing, you don't want to go back. I asked for a refund and was denied. I went the next day to Virginia Nails to have the polish removed as it was already peeling. I have band aids on two fingers. I'm disputing with my credit card company as I was falsely charged for services I didn't receive. I do not recommend this place. I'm not sure who runs this place but they just lost a great customer. read more

I absolutely love this place AND the people! Victor and his staff, his sister, they're all so nice, they have me laughing every time I go there...so hospitable, so welcoming. The first time I went, I had an hour, I was on my lunch break, and I needed a quick NexGen or gel manicure, I can't remember which one it was. Victor was great. He got me in and out in about 50 minutes, nails looked great, didn't look messy or like he rushed and I walked out a happy customer. If you're in the McKinney or Frisco area, I definitely recommend them, you'll love it and you'll love the Nails Expo & Spa crew! read more

Been here twice and can say that they are very consistent in the quality of work they do. First time it was crazy busy and the second time was a slow day but the quality in customer service did not change. I love knowing that I will be taken care of when I come here. If you like getting NexGen done, they do a really good job with it. Their chairs are the most comfortable chairs I have been in when getting a pedicure done as well. They do honor all competitor coupons which is a huge bonus. If you are looking to change up who you go to or you just haven't landed at a good nail place yet, then I highly recommend the Nails Expo & Spa. I have been a customer now for almost a year. I typically was going to a very large spa down the road. Friend recommended Nail Expo (next to Albertsons) and I won't go anywhere else. Wendy and Kim do wonderful pedicures and Nexgen. Nails can go 3 weeks easily. New owners Debbie and Can have remodeled the entire spa and the new chairs are fantastic! It is beautiful!! I love this nail salon! It is clean and sanitary. It is family-run, which I appreciate. Wendy, Victor, Kelly, and Momma are all so very nice. Momma gives the best pedis and foot/leg massage ever! Wendy's manis and nail service are long lasting. Victor and Kelly do a great job, and both are are very personable and fun to talk to. I have been to many salons over the years, as most of us have. 'Nails Expo and Spa' is first on my list, and I am very discerning and particular about services that I pay my hard earned money for. If I sense that the staff is talking disparagingly about clients, or behaving ineptly or unprofessionally, or if the salon is less than immaculate, I'll drop it without a second thought! I admit that I do wish the prices were a little less expensive. I am sure that would attract more customers. Still I love the salon and go every chance I can afford. This is a must try nail salon. There are so so many nail places to choose from in the Mckinney area. I've tried them all Grand, Diamond, Castle etc. I'm not a fan of huge nail places. You get a different technician and not all nail technicians are the same. Been here 3x so far and had same nail tech twice. The place is clean the staff is friendly and professional. The only place in Mckinney area I have gotten Nexgen nails that didn't fall off within 2 weeks. My daughter actually had 2 nails come off and came back and they were happy to replace. I will return and loveeee that it's so close to my home. read more

The nail beauticians rushed. They only had one customer when I walked in. It was a very awkward and stressful experience. I had a gel mani/pedi. One lady was doing my feet while the other was doing my hands. I had to hold a bowl of water in my lap on top of a pillow covered with a towel. It got very wet. The lady doing my pedi slapped my leg bc she thought she saw a fly. The lady doing my hands cut too deep into a cuticle and it wouldn't stop bleeding. I was being very gracious and didn't complain however I came to de stress and the experience was anything but relaxing. I left leaving a nice tip but it will be my only visit there. The gel mani/pedi didn't come out well. It looked like something I did at home. If you think this was a good place then I urge you to try someplace else. Won't go back for a 3rd try. My first visit was 5 stars. I had a mani/pedi/wax. They did a great job and it was affordable. I left thinking I'd found my new nail place (I'm moving to this area soon). But my second visit, with the same 2 techs, was awful. They each cut me. Both took a personal phone call while doing my mani/pedi and waxing! Got nexgen nails done 3 days ago and although the employees are very nice, I am very disappointed. Yesterday one nail cracked and took part of my own nail with it. I went back today and they graciously fixed it for me free of charge. Just an hour or so later I noticed cracks in two other nails which I am sure will get worse and break off. I have had nexgen nails many other times and they have lasted 3 weeks with no damage. Will not revisit this salon. My nails look terrible. I wasted my money. read more

1. Had a pedicure, the old lady scrubbed the top of my feet with the thing you use to scrub the rough part on the bottom of your feet. My feet burned for days. 2. In the beginning everyone was so nice, until I made a complaint about how the owner Kelly jacked up my brows, then everything changed. Her response was, they're just brows they will grow back. But whenever I went after that, I got the cold treatment, she would go to the back of the shop and make loud derogatory remarks about me. So, I found another shop, and so far I'm very happy. I've only been 2 times. First time was great. Got a French shellac and was perfect. Lasted 3 wks. Second time I wanted the same lady but apparently she quit. Got a normal shellac but the lady was forceful in buffing and pushing of my cuticles. Also shellac paint was much thicker than it should be. She always didnt wait long for my top coat to dry so the polish remover rub at the end took off gloss and paint. Now it looks less shiny. Overall okay service. Very hot environment though. read more

I've tried just about every nail place around, including new ones that have opened. One place gave me infections that required antibiotics (twice!!!), another had the Next Gen chipping within a week of it, when I've had it last 3-4 weeks before with no chipping. So I've gone back to Nails Expo and Spa. No bells and whistles, sure, small and intimate, yes, but no one in town does a better Next Gen French manicure then Wendy. Ask for her and you won't be disappointed. I've yet to have a single bad experience there, so I'm done trying others, never trying anywhere again! read more

I love Debbie who does my nails (pink & white fill) and Kim or Tina for pedicures...they are both very good.
