I arrived for my appointment a few minutes early to have a pedicure and a fill. Paul does my nails but for some reason his wife did my pedicure today. First of all she's not a friendly lady...she was very rough scrubbing my feet. when it came to color, I told her it was a tossup between two colors and would she mind trying one color on one toe and if I didn't like it could we try the other one and she said yes. Ended up I didn't like either one and I told her they looked orange and I don't do orange. She started arguing with me about the color and said it wasn't orange that it was pink and then all of a sudden it wasn't pink. It was red then she told me to choose a color or I would have to go without color this time. I said "you know what, I will pay for my pedicure and leave". So I did just that, she didn't bother to take the polish off and I paid $35, for bare toes, I didn't get my toes or nails done, NO TIP, and I left. I will NOT be back. They are both very rude and unfriendly. read more

I made a last minute appointment for my sister in law and myself to get a mani/pedi before my wedding. They were great about scheduling us and the building was spotlessly clean. They did a beautiful job on my French manicure, her gel manicure, and added small designs that we wanted. The pedicure with the hot stone massage was great. I highly recommend going here! read more

They fit me in, yet an hour and 40 minutes. This was a very unpleasant experience. The wife seemed very friendly until she blatantly ignored me. The husband was aggressive and apparently upset. My nails are filed at a slant and have already chipped. I would not recommend this place. read more

Paul and Helen are the owners (husband and wife) were a delight to meet. Helen did my pedicure and from start to finish it was a great and relaxing service. I paid close attention to the implements (nippers, cuticle pusher, clippers) which were all clean, to the use of all new file and buffers as it should be to meet State Board sanitation laws for no cross contamination. The massage was ok would of liked a bit more pressure to relax tired legs and feet. But overall it was a great experience! read more

I have come to this Nail Salon for several months. Paul has done my fills each time, but this last fill was the worst experience of getting my nails anytime or anywhere. First of all he wasn't happy with the grow out, he kept jerking my hand around which I have never had done before. When he was using his electric file he nicked me twice on my thumb. It did draw blood, not a lot but he said nothing, I wiped it off and he continued to paint my nails. So I will not go back and be treated like CRAP!! read more

I really wanted to like this place as it's just a husband and wife that work there. However I got a mani and pedi, did a decent job, could've used another coat, nails were crooked after filing. Worst part, my nail tech he filed the side of my pinky nail and cut me...days later I now have an infected wound and will have to seek medical attention (probably because their tools are not being sanitized properly). So with an infection, crappy paint job, and chipping/cracking after three days...I will not be coming back read more

My regular nail lady was on maternity leave so I decided to try this shop out. The shop is new and clean and the customer service is second to none. The owners are a very nice husband and wife team.i came in to make an appointment and they immediately took me on. I requested a gel nail fill and a pedicure with gel polish. The wife need a wonderful job on my nails. She was quick but did not cut corners. I was impressed with the color selection and found a beautiful red named "pomegranate." I was equally impressed with the pedicure. In fact, this was one of the best pedicures I have had. It has been three weeks and my nails still look good but I am going in today for another fill. Not only did the nails look good, but the lasted three weeks. My feet are still soft but since it is still summer, I am getting another pedicure. The salon is several blocks from my house, the workmanship and customer service is good, the salon is very clean and the prices are fair. I really like my regular nail lady but she is in south Reno and her prices are much higher. As much as I hate change, the services, convenience, quality and prices at this salon just made this my new nail salon. Try this place. I am glad I did. read more

went to another place (by Costco) and not happy. saw this shop going to the post office. called made appt for fill & pedicure. very clean, Paul's wife was wiping down everything while I was there. Paul was extremely attentive, asking where I usually had service. told him I recently moved here from So Cal and really sad to leave that shop (owned by 2 sisters). quick and thorough, he did both fill and pedicure. in at 10am out by 11:15am. nice job, but he needs work on polishing. doesnt get all the way down side of nail. went to pay and was shocked by the price. $60 for fill and pedi. my old shop $60 would be fill, design, pedi AND eyebrows PLUS tip (they dont do waxing here). I will still come to Nails Golden Valley, but will get only fills. actual stars from would be about 3 1/2 because of expense read more

Prices are $10 more for a mani and $20 more for a pedi than my usual place, but this place is new and very close to my house so I figured I would give it a try. Walked in for a deluxe pedicure and dip powder manicure. I asked which dip powder they use because many are not salon quality and use tons of fillers which cause cracking. There was a man giving a pedicure and a woman standing at the front desk. The man said he didn't know which products they use and to wait for him to finish. I asked if I could see a jar of the powder while I waited and the man rudely told me that the type of powder doesn't matter. The woman continued standing behind the counter and was no help. I noticed their polish selection was very small and did not include any salon brands (opi, essie, etc.). Save your time and money and go to a salon that knows their products and can handle more than one customer at a time. read more
