She is talented and has a fabulous eye, helping me bring my nail inspo photo to life. Her handiwork was meticulous and detail-oriented. I opted for a gel x manicure, almond shaped nails, and I always prefer a dry manicure (which is what they do at NO6). I was going for a springtime/pastel look, and it certainly helped that the cat-eye polishes were the perfect shades. I specifically came here because I seen people talk about how meticulous they are with their work. My nail technician was definitely in a rush, was roughly cutting my cuticles and cut a piece of skin under the cuticle. I had this service done on Tuesday and by Friday one of my nails already chipped. Definitely not worth $77. Don't waste your time here. read more

I came in as a walk in not knowing that it is generally appointment only, but they took me anyway, or that is what I had thought. I had gel acrylic nails that desperately needed to get removed. First, they said they would charge $20, even though a few of the nails were already removed. Then, the nail tech did not soak my hands in hot water which is standard for acrylic removal, she instead tried to grind off my pinky nail with a grinding machine, which ended up breaking my pinky nail, and now it is bleeding and I have to wait for it to naturally fall off over time because it hurts so badly. I explained to the nail tech that you have to soak in hot water first, she got intense and said she was "TOO SCARED" to keep working on my nails....she wanted me to wait until the other nail tech was done. She kept making excuses, blaming my fingers and the nails, where I felt so uncomfortable I left. I even told them they were not even listening to me about my requests. Traumatized....and it's walking distance to where I live but i would rather walk farther to work with techs that can make me feel feel safe and heard, my hands are special (I am a hand model even) but also any body work should be handled with detail and CARE. read more

They do gel and gelx here! I like that the studio is small and cozy so it's not loud or hectic. Give them a call to schedule an appointment. They are super responsive and will text you if they're running behind. I really appreciate that $90 for gelx and $40 for a regular pedicure. I loved how my pink chrome nails turned out. Needed to get my nails done before my trip and was lucky to get booked with Yujin. She is skilled in shaping the nails so that they are even and look natural. She provided a phone holder for me to use as I got my nails done too. A gel x manicure took only about an hour. I also love the color selection at this salon and am very happy with the color I chose. Reposting this review because the owner removed it. It got a lot of traction and instead of taking the feedback and improving, they felt the need to remove it. That's your first warning if you're considering going to this so-called "establishment". I had an absolutely awful experience at this nail salon, and I feel compelled to warn others--especially if you're not Korean. I regret not speaking up in the moment, but I hope sharing this will help others avoid what I went through. I went in expecting a professional service, but instead, I was treated like an afterthought and left with painful, injured, and bleeding nails. The nail tech, Jane, was incredibly careless, cutting into my skin multiple times with the drill. I was visibly bleeding, yet she didn't acknowledge it or apologize. Instead, she just kept going and even applied a hot sealant over my open wounds, making it sting even more. To make matters worse, she got up over six times during my appointment to take phone calls, completely disregarding my time. The overall atmosphere was uncomfortable. While I was there, I overheard the staff openly gossiping about a customer as soon as they walked out. Can you guess? They weren't Korean. Knowing some Korean myself, I understood exactly what they were saying, and it was beyond unprofessional--it was blatantly discriminatory and racist. It made me wonder how they spoke about me once I left. After all this, they still had the audacity to complain about not receiving a tip. I paid $160 for my nails, and my boyfriend even sent an additional tip afterward. But after the way I was treated, I genuinely regret spending a single cent here. I've never written a Yelp review before, but this experience was so unacceptable that I had to say something. My fingers are still in pain, and my skin near my thumbnail is visibly cut. Every time I wash my hands, it stings. For anyone considering this place--please don't. No one deserves to pay for mistreatment, injuries, and disrespect. read more

Second time is a CHARM. So let me start by saying that coming again, the place still is absolutely clean, bright, welcoming, and great customer service. They have various nail polish colors, nail designs, and combos for what you want done as well. I decided to take upon coming a second time to Nails On 6th, and this time it was the perfect time..(which should've been the first time), but it was definitely redeemed. The owner Shawn is a sweetheart and his customer service is beyond what I expected. I am beyond content with the redo of my nails. I love that I could show the nail technicians a picture on my phone with the design I wanted and they made it happen. It is simple as shown, but the work they put to make it happen is to be appreciated and applaud because they took their time to make it perfect and the way I wanted it. I also need to say that this pedicure was better than the first time. I had my hangnails taken out and my feet cleaned to the fullest. I give a special thanks to Shawn's mom for taking time from her day to do my nails, and for being so understanding, as well to Shawn. Lois is my girllll. Her gel manicure lasts me a minimum of 3 weeks (no peeling, no lifting, etc). I know can honestly go 4+ weeks but the regrowth bugs me. She's clean and meticulous. This place is a little more pricey than other spots, but they use a special top coat that lasts way longer than other places. My nails are stunning, but they cut 4 out of my 10 nail beds which are still reopening up and bleeding the next day :( they also need much better training on using the nail drill - they filed so deep that I could see the grooves gouged out from where they removed my existing gel. I called to see if I could get a last minute same-day appointment and they were so friendly on the phone and told me to come on over. Soon as I walked in I was seated right away. The shop is quaint and cute and doesn't have that strong acrylic/nail polish smell that gives you a headache. I asked for the micro French tip gel manicure ($45 for gel mani + $15 for French tips) & regular pedi ($35). It is a bit on the pricey side compared to where I've gone before but I LOVED my nails. Jane designed them exactly how I wanted and Jack gave me an amazing pedicure. No nips or cuts, it was a great experience. They're both so nice, I'm really glad I found this shop. Super clean, and the staff was very polite. They did an ok job. It wasn't very thorough like other places. But it's a small spot, and they don't have many amenities. I was a little surprised by the price of my simple cleaning. $30 for a cleaning 15min (nail trim, cuticle clean up) Their cleaning comes with no polish. read more

I came with a specific design and although my nail tech did multiple coats she could not get the color down. I could tell she was getting frustrated. She then said she would just add chrome on top at no additional charge because she could not get the exact color. After she added the chrome and top coat, I saw air bubbles everywhere. I advised my tech and she proceeded to aggressively buff my nails attempting to get rid of the air bubbles. The aggressive buffing actually led to her buffing my skin too much and making me bleed. These pictures are my nails 2 weeks after my appointment. All the polish is chipping, lifting, or completely coming off. This was my first time visiting this nail shop and I will not be returning. read more

Really disappointed in my first visit at this nail salon. I messaged the salon a day before my appointment with a picture of what I wanted for my nails in hopes that they would tell me if the look I was going for could be done. However, I found that I was constantly having to tell my nail tech what I wanted and despite voicing what I wanted, the nail tech kept trying to change my mind. Whether it was the nail length, nail shape, or colors. It seemed like the nail tech wanted to do what she deemed was pretty. This was pretty frustrating because as a paying customer, I knew what I wanted. Regardless, the work felt very rushed and the nail tech kept getting frustrated when she could not replicate the original design. I was not expecting anything perfect but I left with nails that seemed messy to me. Some of the gel x tensions are super crooked.
