Im literally "in the chair" getting my toes painted…read more I booked my 10:15 am appointment early this week and expected to be taken ON TIME. Isn't that what appointments are FOR?!!!!!! I was placated with "five to ten minutes." I played on my phone for another 15 minutes . Then I was escorted to a pedicure chair. I sat for A HALF HOUR!!! I selected "anyone" for my technician." Is that why? At just under an hour in total wait, I opened my Jersey mouth, which rarely comes out lol. "EXCUSE ME - I HAD A 10:15 AM APPOINTMENT AND HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 45 MINUTES and AM LEAVING G FOR THE SHORE!" The techs all looked at each other bewildered and like "oh sh*t", then a male tech was over in under five minutes. He's doing a great job but Im overall unhappy /po'd. The tip will reflect as much. They most likely will lose me as a customer because of their incompetence and lack of apology. There are too many competitors for this utter nonsense!!! Im stupefied!

Update as of 11/29 The tech who did my nails for me reached…read moreout via text justifying all the reasons why my refill on a unfinished set a $85.00 and tried to say i had two nails broken when i in fact did not at the time of the initial refill. Unfortunately instead of the salon responding with a professional response.. example of the appropriate thing to say would have been " We're sorry to hear about your negative experience. Please provide us with more information so we can investigate the issue and take steps to prevent it from happening again." Instead I'll post what she did say in the photos. Again still so unprofessional and completely ignored the fact that after 14 days my nails had a mold growing under a fresh set. If i showed her one the 14th day no reason my nails should be lifting before then. I used to have nothing but good things to say about this salon, but unfortunately, since it has been taken over by new owners the pricing has not at all remained consistent. The last straw was me paying for a $85 REFILL. Unfortunately i was getting my nails done and had to abruptly leave without getting the top coat finished. Mind you i get the same thing every time. Same color and a design on each index finger because i had to abruptly leave i did not get to speak to the tech about why i was being charged $85 for a refill but when i went back the tech told me it was the stones that made it so expensive. Mind you it was so ugly if i would have been able to stay i would have absolutely asked her to remove it. So you mean to tell me a refill set unfished costs $85.00 and to top it all of when taking it off my nail had some kind of mold or fungus underneath. Absolutely horrible. She then recommended a new set for $75. It makes zero sense and to top it off the tech used a different color pink powder and did not inform me she was going to at all what so ever. Until the top coat was on it that's when i saw that she basically picked whatever she wanted without telling me. Pictures below of the $85.00 refill set unfinished, the fungus, as well as two different color pinks that i did not agree to and the worst part the major inconsistent pricing. Horrible would not recommend they don't care what they charge you clearly.

My usual was closing too early for me, but Nail Studio was open until 7:30 p.m. I got a pedicure and it was just tremendous!!!!! I REALLY liked the scrub that "my girl" (I stink at names!!!!) used to massage my calves and feet. DEAR GOD - EVERYONE needs to have a pedicure - BLISS!!!!!! The massage chair was tremendous as well - not a wimpy, you can barely feel it, type, and I wasn't even sore later (or the next day). It's like a double dose treat! My feet felt amazing later on and the polish was done on point. "My girl" wasn't too rough, nor hurt me at ALL. Red polish, as usual, but that's my personal choice. My favorite color and hides a bad toe injury I have had since age 15. Plenty of colors w/ good brands on tap. Wednesday's boast specials if you pay cash. THIS IS MY NEW SALON!!!!!!!!

The service of every nail tech I've gotten is sloppy and rushed, and I don't like having to tell them no less than 5 times that yes I want a regular manicure over a gel manicure. The pressure is real to get gel over regular polish at this salon. When I pointed out obvious spots they missed with polish or screwed up, they seemed annoyed that I was asking them to fix their bad job. I was really hoping the first couple visits they were just still working out the kinks of it being under new ownership, but it looks like nothing has been changed. Avoid at all costs!

I've been off/on at this shop for three years now. Today is my last day. Anna never showed up for…read moreour appointment last time, and the associate that helped me adamantly told me they didn't have glitter I knew they had. After some back and forth it worked out fine. Today, Anna shows up ten minutes late, and I informed the associate who arrived on time id check back in ten and see if she was ready. I walk back in at 10:12, Anna has someone else in her chair, and tells me someone else will do my nails. I didn't book someone else, and I showed up on time, she didn't. I got serviced and the other girl did a fabulous job on a more simple design, and assured me she kept her own tips. At checkout, I was charged $48 for a refill basic color and one nail replacement (given a manicure that I didn't ask for or approve an extra charge), when the online booking said it would be $35 for no add ons. I was frustrated but still tipped $12 because I knew it wasn't the girl who did my nails. She then proceeded to just throw the money in a shared jar anyway. Anna if you check these, this is not how you run a business and retain quality well tipping clients. I'll be taking my business over to Bella nails for now on.
