Naked Farmer absolutely lived up to the hype. I ordered the chicken thighs with mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts, and everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and comforting. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, and the mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and easily one of my favorite parts of the meal. My only small critique is that I probably wouldn't order the Brussels sprouts again..they were good, but they didn't stand out compared to everything else. My boyfriend ordered the broccoli and sweet potato fries, and both were delicious. The broccoli was perfectly cooked, and the sweet potato fries were crispy with great flavor. What I loved most was that this felt like eating a homemade meal without having to cook. It's quick, convenient, and genuinely healthier than most fast-casual options, but you don't feel like you're sacrificing flavor. They also had a fit about there being no ice for the water (and no they have never been to Europe). I had looked at the menu before and decided that the family option was the best option for my family. I got the Family Southern Comfort meal. I asked if you could switch out the veggie and was told yes. I asked for green beans instead of the sweet potato. There was a lot of confusion in the line and they packed sweet potatoes instead of the green beans. I decided not to say anything about that. However after looking at the portion size of some of the items (the macaroni especially) I asked if we could get some more added to the bowl. It was barely any in there and I was told they weigh the portions out. I never saw a scale or saw any of our dishes on a scale! So for the cost and the portion sizes they gave me I wouldn't recommend the family meal. I would have come out better if so had let each person order their own meal. We would have had variety and more food. We were definitely given less food for the family meal option compared to each person getting an individual meal. Finding fresh, fast-casual food has been so tough for the longest time. It's so uplifting to see restaurants trending in a better direction of local, healthy, and tasty food and Naked Farmer is the perfect example. I went here for the first time on a Saturday evening and the place was breathing with people. Still, the staff made an effort to greet everyone and provide assistance with the somewhat overwhelming menu. To limit my decision fatigue, I opted for the Local Farmer Plate which came with chicken, rice, sweet potatoes and broccoli. My words cannot do justice how delicious each ingredient was and the plate as a whole. The atmosphere was incredible with a decent amount of indoor seating, which made the experience all that much better. I still can't believe how kind the staff is, it must be something in the food. I understand why my buddy enjoys at this place so much since it's some of the freshest, delicious food I have ever had at a fast-casual style restaurant. Positive experience. We came on a Thurs night just before 6PM and the place was pretty busy. Upon entering, we had a friendly greeter providing a menu and an overview of how to order. The menu has prearranged selections or you can build your own bowl - which is the route we took. They have indoor seating as well as a nice patio (shaded in the evening). My bride went with the Salmon with Street Corn, Green Beans and Kale ($22) and I went with the Rosemary Roasted Chicken Breast with Sweet Potatoes, Green Beans and Quinoa ($18). What's all the crave about? Honestly, the hype is real. The food is fresh and really good, and even though I'm not the biggest fan of the rice, everything is so well seasoned that it left me full and feeling like I actually got some good nutrients in. The mac & cheese is the star of the show, no contest. Coming in a close second is the honey BBQ chicken, and the salmon rounds out my top three. Every dish hits. Fair warning: it's busy pretty much anytime you go, so plan accordingly. My one real gripe is that they close in the middle of the day and then reopen later. I wanted to try more than one thing and adding a side wasn't all that pricey especially for a healthier take out option I believe it was $5 or so depending on what you got. The pesto is an absolute must- the sides typically don't need a sauce since they are flavored very well but the pesto just adds so much more flavor! The best part is the pesto is nut free but doesn't taste like it at all! I would definitely get the Mac and cheese too!! Gosh that was absolutely delicious and sometimes I still dream about it because it was that good. Cheesy, buttery, soft and even heated up very well the next day without the butter separating. I was anticipating the opening of this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We arrived on a Sunday around 4 pm. We were expecting a very long wait, but surprisingly even with a longer line, we got through to order in about 7 minutes. We were greeted by (who I believe to be) the manager and the first person on the assembly line. Everyone was very friendly and service was quick. I ordered a harvest plate (BYOB) where I could choose from grains and grains, two sides, and a protein. I chose greens, carrots and broccoli as my side, and salmon for my protein which was around $20 base price. I also ordered an extra side of mac and cheese, cornbread, and sticky date toffee cake. Everything was fresh and delicious! I couldn't stop eating the mac! I also tried the basil pesto, spicy aioli, and hot maple sriracha. They were all flavorful, but the aioli was my least favorite. I came with my family, so in total it was 5 of us. We were concerned that we wouldn't be able to find seating, but the tables were opening up pretty quickly. So noisy can't ask the servers about allergens. The options were almost overwhelming but everything I got was very flavorful & they pack the Togo plates full. Although it has the set up like Cava & Chipotle, I have never been given this much food at either of those establishments. Everything was so good. This place was everything they hyped it up to be. Fresh farm to table food served in a somewhat fast casual dining establishment. The manager informed us the food has been sent to the store and cooked no more than 3 days from when we eat it. The line for this place was out the door but moving rather quickly. A friend and I went and ordered two custom plates to get a chance to sample a little bit of everything and it all was delicious. My favorites were the steak, mac and cheese and pecan kale salad. Should I say this is modern day K&W, before you come at me let's hearing me out. First of all, the service is amazing, the staff is super helpful and friendly, they are also super busy on a Saturday afternoon. I had their Steak and mushrooms dish, it was amazing and steak has good enough flavor without the sauce. Cornbread is sweet and tasted amazing. Also the date cake is right on. The seating area is smaller with some larger tables that you can sit next some strangers, this gave me the feeling of NYC. I'm typically a very skeptical about eating kale and their kale was the freshest I've ever had. The marinated cucumbers were tasty, but a bit tart for my taste. The grass fed beef was a little tough, but very tasty in the spicy miso sauce. The pesto sauce was tasty, but I preferred the spicy miso overall. The roasted sweet potatoes were absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is truly amazing. The people are very friendly!! Here are a few of the downsides: The food was seasoned well but was luke warm at best. Having colder food took away from the experience. Also, there were so many workers standing around and talking that there were a ton of dirty tables- so we had to clean our own table. There were a handful of customers who just decided to take their food to go out of frustration. Having a dirty environment also didn't match the high energy of the great customer service. I was here on Tuesday afternoon during lunch. The line moved pretty quick. I asked the man who was serving behind the line for a kids bbq chicken plate and he looked at me and said "what is that? I have no idea what that is" . The prep sign with the ingredients is directly behind him. He felt like it was appropriate to be rude and that is totally unacceptable. Also he pushed my rice over with his glove (no utensil) after having just had his hand on his belt near his hip. Unsanitary. Aside from that the bbq chicken was decent and the mac and cheese was good. The grilled sweet potatoes and the broccoli were WAY TOO SALTY. I couldn't finish those. The portion size was decent and I imagine if I would have finished it I would have been full. $30 for two meals to go. They reopened up at 5p and I arrived at 4:56p and there was already a line at the door. That gives you a clear indication the food is good. The line is assembly style and you let the employee know what you want. They have a great variety of greens/grains, veggies, and proteins. Also sauces if you'd like. I wanted to try the 1/2 rice with pecan kale caesar. I wanted to try so many side options but chose the Brussels and sweet potatoes along with the salmon which was delicious. The cornbread reminded me of soul food cornbread, it was delicious. My bf got salmon with 1/2 rice, 1/2 salad with the mac & cheese and smashed potatoes and let's just say all of it was delicious. There is plenty of seating there. The spacing isn't super big was big enough. Let's just say Naked Farmer will be seeing me again this week and going forward. Food is super fresh and even with a very crazy line on a Saturday, the line seemed to move pretty quickly. There isn't too much area to sit down so I would recommend takeout, or coming during the week when things are quieter. We got two of the high protein bowls which included steak, chicken breast, broccoli, sweet potatoes and brown rice. Upon the order being made I noticed that my bowl didn't have as much steak as my husbands, when we mentioned it to the cashier that it looked a little skimpy her response was jokingly "is life fair" "is wealth distributed evenly". I personally think they should have just added the extra piece of steak, it's a pretty expensive meal (for 2 bowls you're easily spending $65-70) so it's not exactly cheap. For the price I'm not sure if you're getting the full value. Also, for an opening week/weekend, first impressions really matter so I didn't love that response/reaction. I think they should weigh proteins when serving so that it's not an issue moving forward, because the approach right now seems to "eyeball" protein when serving. Otherwise, food is very freshly made and seasoned nicely, however for the price point this may not be a place you'd frequent especially if portions are inconsistent. read more
