I had a nice time at Borsalino in Plantation. To be honest, this was like my friends and I fourth option when picking a place to eat at on a Sunday and this location was the only one without a wait. My friend and I both ordered the same thing which was the chicken pesto sandwich, and then I ordered the Borsalino Juice which you can see both meal options pictured below. The service was good even though our waiter was a little clumsy and spilled my leftover juice and almost dropped the plates, LOL. Overall it was pretty average. The restaurant looked nice. Another great visit to Borsalino. I had the Farmers omelette with braised pork, shaved parmesan flakes, onions, cherry tomatoes with a side of arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette. Had a bad experience right when I walked in. My bf and I chose this place since it's listed as a "coffee shop" to come do work. We put our stuff down on the couch and got eyes on us from the people working the front, the guy said that since we're only 2 we couldn't sit at a 4 top. Since it wasn't busy, he let us sit there but every time a 3+ party came in, we would get stared down by him like it was our fault. It just made us uneasy our whole time there. Baby had an adult sized salmon pasta (sorry name escapes me) and hubby had an omelette. I had my entire meal! The croissants were buttery and flaky, the eggs were soft and flavorful, and the hash browns were perfectly golden and crispy. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness with powdered sugar on top. THERE ARE NO VEGAN OPTIONS for food, only juice, which is why I couldn't go 5 stars, I couldn't eat anything there. George, the (owner-I believe) is always working daily at this spot! He not only helps clean tables and runs food but you can see him talking with guests! I love how they have a decent sized partly covered patio so when the weather is nice you can sit outside! It's also dog friendly patio with well behaved pups! So that's a plus! My go to drink is their dirty chai tea latte iced! They put cinnamon on top of it and it just adds such a nice touch! I've tried their smoothie and some of their breakfast items! Which are delicious! Compared to other plazas in the area, it's a quiet area that doesn't have cars all over the place. Staff is friendly. The strawberry shortcake coffee was a little too sweet for my taste, but that's a personal preference. I was served my coffee drink in a plastic cup, which I thought was odd, considering it's a hot beverage. I would appreciate to have my coffee served in a traditional coffee mug. The blue cheese short rib was ok, but I can't quite place what was missing for the taste. I would give this place another try and try some of the breakfast dishes and a different coffee next time. I decided on the bacon, cheese, jalapeño omelet, without the jalapeño. It was cooked to perfection! There was lots of bacon and it was very cheesy. It also came with a yummy small arugula side salad. The price wasn't bad at $14. My mom had the Nutella croissant French toast. It looked and sounded so good, and she loved it. It was loaded with Nutella and also just $14. She couldn't finish it. Now, normally I'm a sweet brunch gal. Unfortunately pretty much every sweet option at Borsalino had nuts, so they were off-limits for me. However after looking at the savory menu and tasting the food, I didn't miss it too much! My smoked salmon croissant was flawless - perfectly flaky croissant, deliciously salty salmon, I even enjoyed the pickled red onions (something I almost always remove). The potato galette was really nice too, with the capers and lemon dill sauce. Portions were huge, easily something that could be shared. I also LOVED the chai spiced latte I got. The staff initially did make a small mistake and brought it to me iced, however they quickly remade it for me and it was fantastic. Really rich espresso, nice frothy top, with a lovely depth of flavor from the spices. I sampled some of my table's cuban pork benedict and seared ahi tuna sandwich, and both were delicious. The pork was so tender and had great flavor, and I loved the flavor of the tuna with the nori sprinkled on top. The interior kind of feels like you're sitting in someone's living room - it's cozy, and invites you to camp out. The visit was going well until I had my son pay for the bill when it came, he accidentally left $5 tip instead of 15%. Afterwards the manager came over and harassed us about tipping culture and accused us of being cheap and not tipping anywhere.
