I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and this was a last minute food stop since it was close by. The food was to-go and good and the wait wasn't long. The hostess was nice. They have truffles that you can buy at the front desk but they were very expensive in my opinion. I did not buy any. The sushi roll were good but huge. I love sushi but when the roll is so big you have to cut it I think it's because of too much rice. I really like spicy wasabi and this place had it.

    Shrimp tempura bento box

Most importantly, the food was tasty, plentiful & appropriately priced. VERY substantial filling in the crab rangoons! And bento box is the way to go, if you're hungry. Ambience was a little weird from a very stereotypical starting point... 80s music and such. Service was fine. The ending was awkward. Noticed a Yelp coupon for free crab rangoon and they did not want to honor it. Implied that I had made it up. And the manager looking at it had a heavy smoke smell that ruined it for me. Too close for comfort. Blech. Eventually they called the owner, who approved it, but left us feeling very cheap.

I haven't eaten here for a bit and WOW! I have missed the excellent service. Thank you Colton! The crab Rangoon are handmade and absolutely amazing! Sushi roll is beautiful, fresh and yummy! Edamame is tender and steamy. So glad I came back here.

Nice and warm vibe and great food and service I went there during my business trip and enjoyed a lot

The food was delicious. I ordered some sushi, the Rainbow Roll, and it was pretty tasty. We didn't order any appetizers, but we got our food pretty quickly. If you came with family the total would most likely end over $100. With 2 people it was around $60ish for 2 meals and sushi. Tried the Lychee nigori sake and highly recommend it.

Naked Tchopstix, located off I-69 Exit 302 in Fort Wayne, is a very enjoyable place for Japanese and Korean cuisines, as well as sushi. The dimmed lighting makes this restaurant ambiance easy on the eyes. The sushi that we ate has exceptional presentation, taste and creativity. The quality of the food is great, and they have a grand drink selection! I definitely recommend the hot sake, especially in the cold Hoosier winter! As far as our service, the hostess welcomed us extremely well; friendly communication as always! And the server did a wonderful job with our visit at Naked Tchopstix; he was attentive with the menu and is very friendly!

Don't waste your time .. incompetent staff and won't do takeout for posted menu items.

We had a surprisingly pleasant evening last night at this place! It is kind of hidden, so thanks to good reviews we gave it a shot. All we ordered (pow pow thai shrimp, spring rolls, fresh salmon sashimi, tofu stir fry, and a very neat "quickly grilled" on the fire on your table 'playboy roll'-must try) was yummy. Drink was very well made and customer service was excellent - both thanks to Mariah. The price is super reasonable, and the bar area is cozy. Thanks for making our quick date night in Fort Wayne a memorable one!

The bento box is a good bet if you're visiting Umi for lunch and/or you're dining alone. I was…read moredoing both! The lunch bento box is straight up hits: a California roll, shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura, rice and your choice of teriyaki'd protein (chicken, salmon, beef, shrimp or basa, a type of catfish). I chose salmon, which was cooked perfectly. The salmon was placed on top of the rice, so the rice kind of soaked up the teriyaki sauce and made it nice and delicious. My bento lunch came with a cup of miso soup, and it was so nourishing and briny, like only miso soup can be. So yeah. I didn't taste any of the sushi here at Umi, unless you count a California roll, which I don't. But they have lots of different types of rolls, nigiri and hand rolls. Umi also has a large menu of sake. So large, that I thought I would be remiss to not get sake to go with my lunch. The menu made me do it! So I got the chiku bai Nigori sake, and it was so smooth. Sake is served in a small pitcher with a small ceramic cup. I wasn't sure if the sake pitcher was supposed to be shared, but there was only one cup, and there was only one me, so I went for it. A sake buzz during lunch ... how extravagant. I visited for a late lunch, around 1:30 p.m., and I was the only person in the whole place. I got the full attention of the very nice server, who had 20 pens in her apron ("For when it gets busy and it's only me," she said, because I asked her why she has 20 pens in her apron.) The restaurant is tastefully decorated on the inside.

I was told they have 1 team that all works Wed-Sun (closed Mon and Tues). The bartender was really nice and honest about advice on the menu. I had questions about the sashimi salad and appreciated his opinion on it. When I asked how the crab rangoons were, I could tell he genuinely thought they were a good item to order - and they did not disappoint! The picture only shows 4 rangoons because I already ate 3, so the fact it comes with 7 is a great deal. I also ordered the chirashi since I love sashimi, and I was told I was given a few extra pieces. 2 salmon, 2 tuna, 3 yellowtail, 2 scallop, 2 unagi, 2 octopus (or squid?), 2 imitation crab, some salmon roe, and 2 lobster tail chunks; seasoned sushi rice on the bottom. This was a very filling meal. It's a dimly lit restaurant with a calm ambiance. I saved this place to come back to when I'm in the area again for work.

Okay so first of all this place is Chinese…read more Now with that out of the way, let's get into the real review. Our waitress looked like she had a gun pointed on her head. Knowing my previous experience with Hana in Phoenix, AZ, that was already a big red flag. But in terms of the food, the only thing I find worth mentioning is that they make correct ramen. ...Yet it's correct in the same way that a groomed, mindless Asian student who spent all night memorizing a book to regurgitate its content on the exam will give you a correct answer. The food at Bimi Bistro looks and tastes like what one would consider ramen to be. Bone broth, ramen noodles, fatty chashu, droopy marinated eggs, etc. And yet, it's so bland and bloody BORING! It's like a "How to make ramen for dummies" book illustration coming to life. Completely devoid of any excitement or character. The very definition of mediocre. This extends to the appetizers like the takoyaki and char siu bun as well, unfortunately. Everything's as technically correct as it gets. It's actually uncanny how they could make food with all the right steps and ingredients, and yet so lacking in flavor. I didn't get to try the hibachi plate my friend got, but from the looks and his description, it seemed like it would've tasted like every takeout "hibachi" dinner ever as well. Personally, I would've preferred actually bad food at this point. At least I could write something funny about them. TL;DR Someone just learned how to make ramen, and opened Bimi Bistro.

A Letdown for Anyone Who Knows Hot Pot…read more Chose this for New Year's dinner over another spot. As someone who grew up with hot pot, this was a very disappointing experience. The Bad: · Broths: Tried 3 types. All were watery and completely bland. · Ingredients: Quail eggs were straight from a can. Crab had no meat. The only "noodles" were instant ramen packets. · Sauces: The dipping sauce station was out of cilantro--a main ingredient. · Drinks: The martini was amateurish and watered down. · Value: For the price, the quality is shockingly low. The (One) Positive: · The buffet does have a wide variety of frozen foods and seafood mix to choose from. Bottom Line: If you've never tried KBBQ/hotpot and just want the novelty, maybe. But if you know what good hot pot tastes like, save your money. You'll get better flavor and quality buying ingredients from an Asian grocery and cooking at home for a fraction of the price. I won't be returning.
