Such a great addition to Laguna! The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the space is really clean with a bright, laid-back vibe. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, you can tell everything is high quality. My bowl was delicious and perfectly put together. I also tried the Thai milk tea boba and it was so good! I also heard they may be bringing in Poppi soon, which would be such a fun addition to their drink lineup!! Overall, great experience and I'll definitely be back!

Happy to see Milk Tea being offered in laguna, but not the best! Staff was nice, but the milk tea was mediocre. Flavor was lacking and the ice was definitely not traditional milk tea ice! They serve it with large ice cubes and everyone who drinks and loves milk tea, loves the tiny ice! Makes the drink so much better. This seems like a poke restaurant who also decided to offer milk tea, rather than an owner who really knows tea.

New spot in Laguna Beach and it did not disappoint! Warm greetings and friendly staff are just the cherry on top to one of the best poke bowls that I have had. Generous portions and fresh ingredients! I got the salmon and albacore over half rice/salad with what now is my go to sauce combo of spicy mayo, ponzu, and eel sauce. All the necessary toppings that left an excellent impression. Vibes are laidback and fun, love the decor. Poke on the beach...chef's kiss, will be back for more!

Nalu Poke is in a beautiful location, and the decor is cute with a fun beachy vibe. The ordering process was a little stressful because there are so many options to choose from, but the staff were friendly. I got the salmon and tuna, and they both tasted fresh. That said, I felt like everything was a little lacking in seasoning and overall flavor. I chose the house sauce, but maybe I'd like it more with a different one. I also wouldn't recommend paying extra for the avocado. It seemed watered down and pureed, which wasn't what I was expecting. The crispy garlic however, was definitely worth adding! It gave the bowl some extra flavor and a nice crunch. Overall, it's not bad at all, and I can see why people like it! There is definitely room for improvement. With a little more flavor and some better execution on a few toppings, I think it could be much better!

I have a go to poke spot and when I try other places, it does not hit the same. This place tho!! Ate this bowl so quick. The flavors were so yummy. I was a little iffy because the spicy mayo always taste different. This one did but different in a great way. The protein was fresh. The service was good, people were nice. It was a cute and simple store. Came in hesitant but left so satisfied!

Poke & Beach! Nalu has incredibly fresh tuna, salmon and albacore. The poke bowls are loaded with generous portions and super, and the pricing is surprisingly reasonable for a beachfront restaurant. You can taste the quality in every bite. Add in the ocean view and relaxed atmosphere, and it becomes the kind of place you want to return to weekly. A true gem on the coast!

Delicious. Great fresh lunch with a beautiful view. Generous portions. Very clean place food handled with care. A lot of options. They also have BOBA and fresh smoothies. Great option after a long day in the sun. We will be returning for sure. Price is beyond fair for what you get.

Nalu Poke did hit the spot! The fish was incredibly fresh, the ingredients were high quality, and the restaurant was spotless. We enjoyed our meal at one of the indoor tables with a beautiful ocean view. The portions were generous and offered great value for the price. Between the fresh fish, clean atmosphere, great views, and large bowls, Nalu Poke has earned a spot on my list of favorite poke places. Highly recommended!

Spicy tuna.

Great new pokie spot across from the main beach in Laguna! Super fresh ingredients and generous sizedportions. I will definitely be back!

The vibes here are amazing!! The fish is so fresh, all the best options for proteins and toppings, and get the tiger milk tea!!

They were knowledgeable, friendly, personable, and never missed a beat. For drinks, my boyfriend ordered the Zombie and the Guanko Grog, while I enjoyed the Chi Chi Royale and the Nui Nui. Every cocktail was perfectly balanced, beautifully crafted, and deceptively strong. Royal absolutely nailed it. We started with the Spam Musubi, which was delicious. It was so flavorful that it didn't need any extra soy sauce, and we appreciated that it was cut in half for sharing. Later, we ordered the Poke Bowl. It's a bit more salad-forward than a traditional poke bowl, with plenty of fresh greens, but the flavors were spot on and the tuna was incredibly fresh. We also tried the Loco Moco, and I can honestly say it may have had the best gravy we've ever had. It was rich, flavorful, and completely unforgettable. Between the outstanding cocktails, delicious food, and excellent service, this was easily one of the highlights of our trip. We can't wait to come back and work our way through more of the menu!

We enjoyed the flavors of the steak. The noise level inside the Royal Hawaiian was not bad. We could easily have a conversation at dinner time. The server was fantastic. We had never heard of Lumberyard before, but the menu seemed to have balanced selection of land and sea offerings. So this was perfect for both of us. Lumberyard is located in a walkable section of Laguna Beach, in the heart of all of the action. The ocean/beach is a quick walk from the front door, so this is the perfect location for dinner and an evening stroll. Parking is challenging as you have the option of parking in the lot across the street or in the structure down the road. Traffic is also quite heavy as Laguna Canyon is a road that is heavily traveled. Lumberyard is a restaurant that offers an intimate dining experience with more of a laid back vibe. It's kind of dark inside as they keep the lights dimmed. The bar is front and center and takes up a good portion of the restaurant. There's a small section toward the front, just behind the hostess where live bands play a small set for guests. The menu has a nice selection of items that appealed to both of us. I am an incredibly picky eater, often focusing on vegetarian dishes or seafood. I ended up ordering the Parmesan crusted sole with mashed potatoes and lemon butter with a Shirley Temple. My husband ordered chicken pot pie and a creamsicle mocktail. I liked the presentation of the whole meal. My Shirley Temple had little heart candies floating atop of it. So cute! As for our meals, I can say that this was well worth the price. I took a bite of the pie crust on my husband's chicken pot pie and it tasted homemade. It was delicious! My sole was pretty tasty! The lemon butter was super creamy and it added more flavor to an already tasty piece of fish. The potatoes were light and fluffy! The meal was delicious! Our experience at Lumberyard was great. People from all walks of life were there that evening. Some people were dressed in jeans with sneakers while others were dressed to impress. The staff were very professional and our waiter was attentive. Our experience at Lumberyard was quite nice and we would definitely return for another date night in the near future.

You're basically just going through the motions, my friend. We paired it with their ice cream fudge sundae, and we could not have been happier with our decision. The moment that warm butter cake hits the table, pure joy consumes your soul. Anticipation builds like you're about to open the best gift ever. The only logical response is to grab a spoon (yes, a spoon because a for would be a travesty of a mistake) because you need the perfect ratio of buttery cake, berry compote, and ice cream in every single bite. You carve that first perfect scoop, lift it toward your mouth, and suddenly your taste buds are doing an Olympic-level gymnastics routine--sticking the landing with a gold medal performance. It's a holy, almost spiritual experience you desperately hope never ends. By the final bite, you're slumped back in your seat, practically begging for a belly rub like a satisfied golden retriever, whispering a quiet prayer that this isn't the last time you'll experience this life-changing dessert. I always go for the ribeye melt or the French dip (order while it lasts). Both are absolutely to die for. The au jus is drinkable, and I could eat the Worcester sauce with a spoon. Next up, the butter cake. Oh my god, this thing is to die for. Although we're always stuffed after our well portioned entrees, we never ever leave without ordering it. The cake is rich and crumbly. And the compote complements it perfectly, although I always wish there was more. The little mint leaves are also a wonderful bit of added flavor. If you go for the sides, I would highly recommend the potato salad. It's slightly more acidic than most, and it has little bits of bacon, which give you little bites of smokeyness. The one time I didn't order the potato salad, I got the blue cheese and tomatoes instead. It was more of an underwhelming side because it was - you guessed it- just blue cheese and tomatoes. Probably a little bit of an interpretation mistake on my part... Overall, you can get an incredible entre for around $18. This is very competitive with other restaurants even outside Laguna Beach. Delicious food, and great value for your dollar.
