First off this is Indian food cooked by Nepali people in Nepali style so not quite authentic , clean environment , friendly service ..... buffet is way below par and owners needs to rethink presentation, assortment, quality of food and finally taste. Dinner plates are medium size as oppose to full size, and food bowls are styrofoam, really bad idea for hot food quite unhealthy way to consume hot buffet food. Pappadum are oily and soggy, chicken tikka masala chicken chunks are hard , makhani dal (black lentil ) is sweet, not sure why !! Buffet nan is good and so is chai (Indian tea) , mango juice is really bad tastes more like papaya juice. We have not tried a la cart so no opinion on it just yet , hopefully they do much better job on it. Hood my review is helpful . read more

Glad that I decided to try this Nepalese Indian restaurant for lunch while visiting Georgetown. Food is excellent and the mango lassi is the bomb. I had goat biryani, lamb masala, chicken 65 and garlic naan. They're all super delicious. Cute restaurant, nice and clean restroom and service is excellent. This place was VERY good. The samosas were hot, fluffy, tender and flavorful. I could have used more green chutney though and it could have been brighter. Tika masala was 100% on point. You will need to ask for spicy though if you like it hot. It was a little tame for me. Chicken curry was delicious. I asked for spicy and I got spicy. I didn't even have to ask for "Indian spicy". The goat byriani was delicious, the rice anyway. The goat was a bit fatty and could have spent more time slow cooking but, it's always a roll of the dice when you order goat in the USA. When I go back I am going to order it with chicken because the rice was nice. Prices aren't cheap, but are in line with what you would expect from Georgetown. It's brand new. They don't have a liquor license yet but look like they are trying to get one. The food was amazing. You could taste the fresh herbs the coriander in the curry, cardamom it was quite good. We love this place! We've been twice for their lunch Buffett ($19). Good variety of options to choose from on the buffet along with labels and descriptions. They give you fresh naan for the table with a water pitcher. We were so excited to come back here again to enjoy. Employees are kind and tentative. I live right next store and I am excited that Namaste has opened! The food is a new experience since I've only eaten Indian cuisine a handful of times. BUT, the staff know the menu well and can help guide you. I have tried the chicken wings masala and they were excellent. I would make sure to ask for a couple of k napkins, because you'll need them. I don't agree with the review from Jasmine and I have eaten here 4 times now. I was actually their first customer on opening day. I have never been asked to leave a 5 star review nor was I asked to leave this one. I don't think this review was from an actual customer. Great job Namaste! read more

Had to go to the doctor today, and the three of us decided that we didn't want fastfood, we wanted a sitdown restaurant for our lunch. Looking at the interwebs led us to this place, and we were eager to try out the food. They have a lunch buffet and we were happy to have that, the choices were plentiful and really fresh because we got there fairly early on. The aroma of the food hit us as soon as we opened the door, and we were hoping that it tasted as good as it smelled. The mango lemonade was nice, I didn't realize that chai was available too or else I would have got that as well. With a pitcher of water and three large glasses delivered to the table, along with fresh buttery naan, it was looking like the right choice was made. We got a large selection of different types of food and couldn't wait to dig in to it. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly, so we had to try even more of it. After my three trips to the buffet, I had some rice pudding for dessert and the cardamom in it was great tasting. I really would like to list what we ate, but there was so much variety and honestly, everything was great. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance made it a great dining experience. Never tried Indian food because you think it is all about "curry" then think again because there are so many dishes that are not about "curry" yet have amazing flavors due to the many spices they use. I personally cannot do very hot spicey food but for those who can, you can order moderate/medium/hot for your palate. All the dishes are served with such grace and made to order. They staff are delightful and very knowledgeable regarding every dish. They currently do not have a liquor license so we happily take our own wine for a very nominal corkage fee. The atomosphere is quiet and a perfect place for a date night. I'm from England and was raised on Indian food so was over-the-moon when Namaste came to Georgetown. I hope it will be here forever and am trying to spread the words that it is far healthier than Mexican food and a lot less fattening :) read more

Had a wonderful experience at this Veteran Owned restaurant on Saturday night. Started with the veg Samosa, which came with two sauces and was super hot and fresh. I enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala - Medium spice level, and my husband had lamb curry - medium spice level also. It was perfect! The medium was a great level of hot for us, after our server described the Hot as "habanero" level, which would be just a bit too hot for us. They offered free refills of rice. The Garlic Naan was huge and perfect for the two of us. It was crispy yet pillowy, just perfect with the Tikka. Would highly recommend this restaurant. I wasn't keen on the copper cup for water, but that was such a minor issue. Will definitely be back for more delicious Tikka Masala. read more

Hubby and I tried the buffet today at Namaste and we both enjoyed it. $18.99 per person all you can eat and included your drink. This is a fair price considering most restaurants you pay that for only one plate. I do have to say my favorite, of what they had today on the buffet, was the chicken curry and the veggie chow mein noodles. The person we cashed out with said they do mix up the menu so they have different items daily. I do like goat meat and he said they had that on their Saturday buffet, I missed it by one day. Hubby liked the tikki masala and rice. We both liked the naan bread, it was warm fluffy and light. We will come back again and we encourage others to try this as well if you enjoy authentic Indian food. read more

Disappointing, mediocre bland food. Best things were the drinks and naan. Ordered chai tea and was brought a tea pot without the lid. Tea tasted delicious. My daughter had a mango lasse, also delicious. I wanted very much to like this place. Usually we have to go to Killeen for good Indian food. Service was lacking, our waiters never checked on us until bill time and seemed annoyed that my husband asked for ice for the water. Second wait person was very nice.
