Really excellent place with excellent food, a great atmosphere, and lovely staff! Don't look at the name and think that Namba is only about the Ramen and Sushi. They also do other Japanese dishes really well. I got their Japanese Curry Beef and it was definitely one of the best Japanese curries that I've tried in Florida. They are very generous with the portion of both rice and curry. The curry itself had some heat and spice, but not to the point of being overwhelming. Love the chunks of potato, peas, carrots, and tender beef all mixed in. The perfect dish for a cool winter night in Southwest Florida. If you are in Naples, be sure to check them out! Just be prepared for a wait because it's a popular place and a rather small and cozy restaurant. But if you get a seat here, you won't be disappointed :) read more

The temperature dropped to low 40's and we are craving for a hot bowl of chewy ramen noodles. We were near the Mercato area so we stop by the Pelican Bay Shopping mall looking for Namba Ramen & Sushi! The décor is simple, with tables closely situated and a few framed prints on the wall except by the entrance with replica of news articles about Namba. It has the look and feel of "Japanese Noodle Soup Shop". Chef KoKo is well known locally for his tonkotsu based ramen in Naples. The broth is thick, creamy and full of flavor from pork bone and narrow after long hours of cooking. We opted for the pork, Hakata Classic and the beef, Hayashi ramen. The Hakata Ramen has nice slices of chashu (pork) with ginger, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, scallions, bean sprouts, nori and half seasoned egg. The Hayashi Ramen has thinly sliced sirloin beef with shoyu sauce, garlic, scallions, bean sprouts and shitake mushroom and corn. The hot tonkotsu broth made them delicious meal! My other favorite is the Hokkaido Ramen with shrimp and calamari. Namba is an izakaya style facility but tonight we did not order any small plates, Aburi/Maki sushi or Sake. We simply sip cup of hot Jasmine Tea! Service is excellent here. read more

Ordered everything gluten free due to celiac, twice served soy sauce that was not gluten free, once at the table and again with the togo order, sushi was good quality, given a free desert in the to go order that was not gluten free according to the server, got upset and the server said I was being rude, which I was since I was given gluten poison for my family 3 times at this point, but this location was not done, given Masago on a gluten free roll, the server thought it was gluten free but the cook immediately wanted it back to make it again without Masago. The Masago could be GF but not if the type they buy is prepared soy sauce. I left the replacement togo soy sauce they said was GF and bought my own at the store next door. My celiac family member ended up not eating, can't take a chance with an allergy that causes damage to someone's intestines. Was a little pissed to say the least. Caution, my experience, the location did not appear to care and did not appear to have training on gluten allergy. Left a 10% tip even with 80% ordered togo. read more

There are limited good legit Japanese options in the area. This place is the real deal. The aburi sushi was the real deal and everything was fresh, well prepared, and presented. The beef curry was probably my favorite Japanese comfort food dish. Beef was tender, curry was perfect blend of flavors and seasoning. My kids loved the hakata ramen. The octopus was really good and well prepared. Brussel sprouts were also a good starter and the bacon pieces definitely added to the savory flavor of the dish. The rock shrimp was probably only dish that seemed average and a little boring.
