Had lunch there recently when I visited the town for a race. Definitely the best meal I had there, and my server was one of the best I have ever seen. The restaurant has a large menu featuring different ramen (dry or w/ soup) and rice dishes, as well as appetizers. I tried their steamed vegetable dumplings and the pork ribs dry ramen. Both dishes were fantsastic. It was the first time that I had dumplings filled with endamame+minced garlic. It was savory and slightly sweet. The meat in the ramen was fork-tender and full of umami; the ramen was chewy; and it was served with a wide variety of fresh vegetables (zucchin, broccoli, carrot, onions, green onions, corn, microgreens, pickled ginger). The ramen was ~5oz. PS: the noodles are salty -- ramens are meant to be salty. Service was awesome. Several things that my server impressed me: 1. He asked me about my food allergies -- important for seafood-dense restaurants like a Japanese restaurant. 2. I asked for some extra ramen when I just got the entree. He suggested to bring me the extra when I almost finish the ramen in my entree. Surprisingly, he brought a small bowl of ramen exactly when I was about to finish it -- very precise and customer-oriented. 3. Food was served in a reasonable amount of time. 4. When he was taking the order of another table, he gave recommendations to the customers based on their dietary preferences, instead of blindly mentioning the "signature dishes" like most servers do. Moreover, when the customers ordered food, he squat down to listen what they said carefully. So, yes, I speak highly of this restaurant. Definitely recommend it. On our way to Sunrise to catch a MN Wild game against the FL Panthers, my wife and I stopped by Naples for lunch and a quick exploration. One of our neighbors used to live in the area and recommended anything in Tin City for lunch. We walked to Tin City from the free parking structure just off 5th Avenue and, while we found the area mildly interesting, we didn't like any of the typical joints along the water. Besides, having eaten at Dockside in Venice the day prior, we were looking for something other than seafood. In looking at Yelp, we were intrigued by Ichi Togarishi so we walked back towards 5th Avenue. Located just off 5th Avenue, this small place would be quite easy to miss. Upon entering, we realized how snug this place was. We were seated promptly and presented the menu. My wife ordered the Chicken Veggie Shoyu Soy Ginger and I had the Chashu Belly Garlic Noodle. We both liked our dishes, with complex, bold flavors. The Chashu belly was tender with sweetness and soy flavor shining thru. Its flavor profile reminded me of Pad Thai. Everything was 10/10 from start to finish! The service was fantastic, the space was cozy and inviting, and the Asian fusion flavors were so unique and delicious. Nice small restaurant right off of 5th Ave with flavorful cuisine. Service was kind and reasonable timing on the food. Great spot to check out when in Naples. I recommend calling ahead to try to reserve seating if possible but we were luckily able to walk in and get seating. The food I got was chicken and shrimp Thai curry for $27.5 I would not recommend getting it if you want shrimp and instead just get the chicken because they only have me 3 shrimp which was not worth the extra cost. The waiters and kitchen staff were bombarded with online orders. There were multiple costumers who had ordered online and did not get their entire order. One lady ordered five hour ago but still wasn't able to pick up her food at the scheduled time. Another guy waited 50 minutes and got his order but was missing half of the food, he was demanding a full refund when we were leaving. I would eat here 5 days a week if my husband let me. I dont know where to start!! Dumplings and shumai, tender noodle with a very slight bite on the outside and very flavorful and great texture on the inside. Ginger Kitchen, spicy beef, soups all excellent. Nice sake selection. I get so excited walking in the front door just knowing my meal will be perfect every time. I like Ichi better than Tong Yin. Last time we went to Tong Yin, we were so disappointed. This small restaurant tucked off the side of 5th Avenue is a hidden gem! With only 20-30 seats inside, I can imagine it gets full on weekend nights. I went Sunday for an early dinner, and it was not too busy. They only had one staff member waiting tables, yet she did a phenomenal job making sure that at least I felt taken care of. I tried the vegan dumpling curry ramen ($24) which came out in less than 15 minutes. The noodles and broth were hot, and the dumplings were cooked to a soft texture but surprisingly didn't fall apart using chopsticks. The broth was too salty for me to finish completely, but it was creamy and imbued everything with flavor. I love that their menu contains labeled vegan and gluten-free sections. Atmosphere was lacking considering the location of the restaurant We visited on a very hot evening and didn't find the restaurant to be a comfortable temp without AC and especially while eating hot food. Unfortunately this eliminates a star. Tables seemed cramped but the space is not large overall so it's what is necessary to fit more people in. The servers were helpful with finding a vegan option. Menu and prices have changed compared to prior menu postings. I still recommend based on the food. Maybe choose takeout though. read more

Last night we tried Ichi Togarashi for date night. Though I assumed the restaurant was Japanese, it actually is more of a southeast Asian influenced restaurant. The restaurant is small and quaint. Note that I do not think there was air conditioning here, but they had plenty of fans to keep us cool. In short: the food and service was awesome but the ambiance left much to be desired. We were seated at a small corner table that differed from the other (nicer) wood tables. Our waiter got to us immediately and brought waters. There are so many appetizer and small plate options so we asked our waiter for some recommendations. He was from Singapore and recommended the garlic bok choy because it reminded him of home. It was AMAZING! They had to make it with broccoli instead but the flavor was still incredible. With a sweet yet salty-soy flavor with plenty of fried garlic, it would make even a vegetable-hater like broccoli. We also tried the spicy cucumber salad that had many Thai flavors like chili, cilantro, and red onion. For our entrees we had the char sui rice bowl and the Thai spicy beef ramen bowl. While the char sui rice bowl was light and refreshing, the pork itself was dry. The Chinese 5-spice flavor could have been more intense as well. The Thai spicy beef ramen bowl was awesome-- it had used unique Thai spice blend and beef's blood to create a rich broth. Overall, this a great spot for very fresh and authentic southeast Asian cuisine. However, this is a casual spot in an upscale area. I think if we had more casual expectations for date night we would have been more pleased. I'd recommend this spot for a more relaxed evening or for take out! read more

This is a delicious spot with a huge variety of food. The chef is very nice and I can tell she cares about the work she does. I came here with a group of 5 and we tried many different dishes. As a Korean American, I was excited to see a new Asian restaurant on 5th Avenue. Based on the name, I thought it was going to be a Japanese restaurant. The menu actually has a variety of dishes that pull from many different Asian cuisines - Japanese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese. The flavor profile, I feel like matches the most to Thai - but I think it's safe to say this is more of an Asian fusion restaurant. Some dishes do not taste like the name suggests, which can be confusing to people familiar with those foods - for example, the Pho here has a very different flavor profile than a traditional Vietnamese Pho, and dishes that mention Korean do not taste Korean at all. What concerns me is given that Fifth Avenue and Naples in general is lacking in diversity, the restaurant oversimplifies the flavor profile and complexity of the Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cuisine and fits it into a menu that wants to be portrayed differently than the many Japanese & Thai restaurants in Naples - but does not do those cuisines justice. My recommendation to the business is to perhaps educate and explain to the customers the thought process behind the flavors and the menu - that it is truly a fusion restaurant - so that it does not misrepresent those cuisines to a demographic that does not have that diversity in a city like Naples -- simply due to purely by lack of access. The food is delicious and if you enjoy delicious food, I do recommend the restaurant. But to me, food is also culture and there's a story behind every menu - and especially if the menu is pulling from so many different countries' complex histories and flavors - to really do them justice - if the flavor profile is changed significantly - it might be good to give a heads up to the customers that may be you're getting a completely different 'Pho' - which at that point, you have to ask, how differently can you make the broth of the Pho and still call it Vietnamese? The ramen noodles were chewy, broth was just okay nothing special and very meh for ramen, dumplings were slightly cold, ceviche was not true ceviche, and laksa was served with rice which traditionally it's served with noodles. Cute, tiny, not begging for me to drop my wallet. I like how they don't try to be futuristic and minimalist like everyone else, they decorate to the max and make every nook and cranny an interesting piece. The waiters weren't overly exciting or anything they did their jobs and did it well. They let the food and ambience speak for itself. Speaking of food, it was great! I got the pork bone ramen with pork. The pork was a little fatty, but oh so tender and it melted in my mouth. The ramen was nicely balanced and didn't feel like a hodgepodge of ingredients, but a dish where every piece is supporting the other. It paired well with the jasmine which came in a pretty pot that fit the vibe. The ginger was good, not too much or too little; it was just enough to give a little spice to the dish. The noodles were good and I loved the broth. My mother was the one who took me, she had a sweeter ramen that tasted delicious as well (though honestly I'd get the pork bone broth again).
