The Man Me Morimoto and I at supper. Exact same watch!
    Phil W.

Disappointing.... Yelp shows they are open until 9:30 I sat down order a beer and a couple starters at 8:50 . Tried to make conversation with the owner and explained I know Mr Morimoto from Iron chef. I asked for yamagobo and he laughed at me... Food 4 stars the way the made me feel by rushing Me out of the restaurant 1 star, hence the 3 star rating. It's good but know Yelp has the wrong closing time. Plan accordingly

Avocado sushi rolls x 2 orders
    Lindsay F.

Visited here a few times and it's always busy! Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch and got one of the last open tables. You can sit wherever you want. Miso soup was good. Avocado sushi rolls were good, as avocado seemed fresh. Dynamite and dragon rolls were just ok, lacking in flavor. Wasabi is very mild, had to use entire amount mixed in with the soy sauce to get a kick. Prices are average, about $15 per rolls for the speciality and about $8 for avocado. Place is small and tables are close by one another, so you can hear other people's conversations because it's so quiet in there. Overall, just an average sushi place.

    Rotten smelly

Worst quality fish possible, almost 98% of the rolls have cream cheese. Neon colored tuna, salmon with worms, white fish that will make you sick. Warm and sticky and smelly interior.

    Sashimi salad

Two words... sashimi salad. Without a doubt if I'm going to sushi one, I'm getting the salad. It it packed full of flavor and it so full of mouth watering sashimi! The pictures are from different different times of getting the salad as pick up order. It is always consistently good. It has so much sashimi that I'll ask for extra dressing on the side, that way I can add fresh greens to the leftovers the next day and it is just as tasty. We've also ordered the tacos before and the crabby Elvis. Both were very good, but especially the crabby Elvis. If you are a blue crab fan, this is the perfect roll for you as there is a moutain of blue crab on top of the roll. Definitely one of my favorite sushi places in town and the sashimi salad is out of this world.

It's okay. The rolls are limited compared to some others. Same price as others too. Spent $80 for three rolls and three beers.

    Sushimi Platter

Love this restaurant! The hardest part is picking what to order... My go to is the Sushimi Platter and I substitute the Tilapia for extra Spicy Tuna. The Spicy Tuna is TO-DIE-FOR and I crave it at least once a week. I've had it at other restaurants and you can't even compare the two. The Spicy Tuna here is full of flavor and the perfect consistency. Not to mention the portion-enormous. The fish is always fresh and you can tell with each bite of goodness. Another great entree is the Sushimi Salad (half is fine to split between two hungry people, it's enormous). It has this dressing that is so yummy and works so well with the fish and avocado it's hard not to order every time. If you're still trying to decide, the Baked Volcano Roll with scallops is AMAZING. It's also quite hefty and guaranteed to fill you up. I would give this restaurant 5 stars but if you sit anywhere but the bar, the service is extremely slow and not great. My girl friends and I love coming here for girls nights. Such a treat!

Frozen fried mushy "shrimp" dumplings - don't get this
    Amanda S.

Pretty disappointing - what's with the high ratings? Came in for an early dinner Friday at 5:30pm ish with us being one of 2-3 tables, and ordered a variety of appetizers, Philadelphia roll, rainbow roll, soft shelled crab roll, grilled hamachi Kama, one kids sushi meal and a rice. The dumpling and shrimp sui mai should be taken off the menu - frozen fried items that's mushy inside - probably from sysco. The fish is not that fresh inside the rolls and they taste bland. The soft shelled crab roll is so underwhelming - not crispy and one dimensional - yuck. The hamachi Kama is probably one of the better items. Kids meal never came. The service is sooooooo slow and keep your eyes open because they erroneously charged us for 2 rainbow rolls and our kids meal never came. So disappointing.

They're doing a really amazing job socially distancing all the tables, the service is always quick and perfect even on the busiest nights. The take out orders are insanely busy yet they are always on the roll! So I highlight recommend take out as well! I'm so happy they were able to stay open

The restaurant has a large menu featuring different ramen (dry or w/ soup) and rice dishes, as well as appetizers. I tried their steamed vegetable dumplings and the pork ribs dry ramen. Both dishes were fantsastic. It was the first time that I had dumplings filled with endamame+minced garlic. It was savory and slightly sweet. The meat in the ramen was fork-tender and full of umami; the ramen was chewy; and it was served with a wide variety of fresh vegetables (zucchin, broccoli, carrot, onions, green onions, corn, microgreens, pickled ginger). The ramen was ~5oz. PS: the noodles are salty -- ramens are meant to be salty. Service was awesome. Several things that my server impressed me: 1. He asked me about my food allergies -- important for seafood-dense restaurants like a Japanese restaurant. 2. I asked for some extra ramen when I just got the entree. He suggested to bring me the extra when I almost finish the ramen in my entree. Surprisingly, he brought a small bowl of ramen exactly when I was about to finish it -- very precise and customer-oriented. 3. Food was served in a reasonable amount of time. 4. When he was taking the order of another table, he gave recommendations to the customers based on their dietary preferences, instead of blindly mentioning the "signature dishes" like most servers do. Moreover, when the customers ordered food, he squat down to listen what they said carefully. So, yes, I speak highly of this restaurant. Definitely recommend it. And I will dine in it again next time I visit Naples.

One of our neighbors used to live in the area and recommended anything in Tin City for lunch. We walked to Tin City from the free parking structure just off 5th Avenue and, while we found the area mildly interesting, we didn't like any of the typical joints along the water. Besides, having eaten at Dockside in Venice the day prior, we were looking for something other than seafood. In looking at Yelp, we were intrigued by Ichi Togarishi so we walked back towards 5th Avenue. Located just off 5th Avenue, this small place would be quite easy to miss. Upon entering, we realized how snug this place was. We were seated promptly and presented the menu. My wife ordered the Chicken Veggie Shoyu Soy Ginger and I had the Chashu Belly Garlic Noodle. We both liked our dishes, with complex, bold flavors. The Chashu belly was tender with sweetness and soy flavor shining thru. Its flavor profile reminded me of Pad Thai. A very nice find in Naples!

A Fantastic First Visit - Happy Hour Done Right!…read more I stumbled upon Lola 41 in Old Downtown Naples for their happy hour, which kicks off daily at 3:30 PM. I arrived a bit early - around 3:10 - and by 3:25 a small crowd had already started to gather, which tells you something about how popular this place is. Despite a little drizzle, people were eager to get in, and I quickly understood why. This was my first visit to Lola 41, and I was immediately struck by the space. The ambiance when you walk in is absolutely fabulous - beautifully designed and full of energy. The doors opened right at 3:31, and the bar filled up fast. As it turned out, they were celebrating their 2-year anniversary, which I had no idea about, but the buzz in the room made it feel like a special occasion. The bartending staff handled the rush with impressive efficiency - drinks were coming out quickly even as the place packed in. I thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail, and it delivered exactly what I was hoping for. I also ordered off the happy hour menu, and while there was a small mix-up with my food (completely understandable given the volume and the anniversary excitement), the staff was absolutely wonderful about it. They accommodated my request to have my order packed to go without any hesitation - and I have to say, once I got back to my hotel and dug in, I was not disappointed at all. For anyone visiting the Naples area, I highly recommend making Lola 41 a stop, even if just for happy hour. Grab a cocktail, try an appetizer, and I promise it will leave you wanting to come back for a full dinner. This one has earned a regular spot on my list, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

From the moment we walked in, the energy matched the occasion--calm, intimate, and polished without being pretentious. The service was exceptional, and I don't say that lightly. Our server was attentive to the flow of the evening, almost like they followed the house motto of "let the experience guide the guest." Every interaction felt natural, and every course arrived at the perfect time, no reminders needed. Now let's talk about the dish that stole the spotlight: the Shrimp Tempura Roll. It arrived crisp, warm, and beautifully plated. The texture contrast between the crunchy exterior and soft interior was on point. What took it next-level was the pairing with The Beach by Whispering Angel--a pink moscato that turned the entire moment into a scene from a dream. The fruity notes of the wine danced perfectly with the shrimp, elevating every bite with a refreshing finish. I always tell my friends: if you're looking to impress on a first date, this is the place. It's classy without trying too hard, intimate enough for conversation, and the food does more than just fill you--it sets the tone.

A few oddities for me were was the fried sushi. We ordered tempura shrimp sushi. NEVER had it with the entire piece of sushi fried. We expected tempura shrimp inside of the sushi. Also, the bubble tea was $5. We opted to not get bubble and it was regular price. Spring roll were small like they could have been frozen. Spicy edamame, wonton, Rangoon and seaweed salad were delicious. Drunken noodles with shrimp was tasty. Portion was small for $25. It included ample shrimp, but the noodle portion was light. Bathrooms were clean. Ambiance was cool. Noise level was surprisingly not loud even though the restaurant got packed during our visit. We were able to hear everyone at our table of six without yelling or leaning in. I'd return and hope to order off the lunch or happy hour menu.

Service started a little slowly--we didn't meet our server for about 15 minutes, although another team member quickly brought us water and drinks. Once our server arrived, he was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. It seemed like he may have been covering several tables that evening, so we completely understood. Our meal ended up taking about 90 minutes after reservation, which was longer than we expected for a quick dinner. We shared two dozen oysters, king crab legs, the miso butterfish, and cocktail.. The oysters were fresh, though we had slightly higher expectations. The king crab was easily the standout of the meal. The miso butterfish was well prepared but a bit heavy on the sauce--I think a touch of acidity and a side of vegetables would have balanced it nicely, something to consider. Between the waterfront breeze, friendly hosts, and our server's hospitality, we still had an enjoyable evening. It may have simply been a busy night for the service team. After pondering the possibilities, our evening went like this: *Cocktails: "Take two" for her: Strawberry-Infused Botanist Gin, Mango, Citrus Basil, Foam; a bourbon old-fashioned for him: Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon, Aperol, Simple Syrup, Angostura Aromatic Bitters (a cherry too, perhaps Luxardo). *We made the strategic decision to avoid soups/salads to make sure there was room for dessert, and went directly to entrees: Chilean Sea Bass (best seller, we hear) for her: Broccolini, Pearl Onion, Potato Puree, Truffle Vinaigrette; and the Halibut special with gnocchi for him. Both EXCELLENT! A glass of Sauvignon Blanc with each. *Dessert: Crème Brulée for her, a much anticipated Ten Layer Carrot Cake for him, and decaf coffee + cream for both. The cook of the steak was in fact medium rare as ordered, however, when we cut our steaks, immediately you could tell how tough the meat was. It was very rich and decadent. I also suggest the gouda tater tots and truffle mac & cheese. I'd skip the creamed spinach as it lacked flavor and was a bit runny. The ambiance was high energy, great for big parties and dates as well. Perhaps the seafood entrees may be better as I did notice other parties ordering those items. But to compare to other steakhouses, I don't think I can give it a positive review.
