Saw Nami was having a collab with Hype Chocolate and had to check it out! I got the ice cream sandwich and it was a delicious treat. $9 was a little steep but I liked the Vietnamese iced coffee ice-cream and chocolate coating. It's pretty frozen so wait a few minutes before eating.

vancouver's popular banh mi food truck has found a permanent home downtown, and lucky for us, it's right across from the vancouver art gallery. nami is conveniently located in the lobby of the hsbc (now rbc) building on 885 west georgia street. i've been meaning to try their banh mi for a while now, and finally made my move. well, almost - i showed up at 2:51 pm on a thursday, just nine minutes before their 3 pm closing (such a rookie move, d'oh)! their hours are from 8am to 3pm, monday to friday. i got their classic vietnamese coffee, cold, it was the afternoon coffee buzz I desperately needed and am already planning my return to try their banh mi.

The taste of the fillings was very well balanced with nothing being overpowering. I could taste every single ingredient yet they went together very well! I particularly liked the stracciatella cheese. It added a fluffy and soft texture to the sandwich. The shop was small, cozy and well decorated. There were some available seats when I was there at around 1:30pm. There was no line as the peak lunch hour had passed. They made my sandwich immediately so I didn't have to wait at all.

Italiana was so good. Double Prosciutto!! Truffle flavor was strong and paired with stracciatella cheese. What a great combination! And Arugula was very fresh. Foccacia was very crispy outside and soft inside. One of the best sandwich. I will order again. Monte cristo was also good. Grilled bread was very crispy and nicely pressed. Provolone and prosciutto cotto combination was great, too. Sundried totamto provided great accent. I will order this one again, too. Overall, it was a great sandwich shop. Highly recommend.

I wouldn't sit here for a cute bakery or cafe hang. Perhaps it was because it was rainy during those days but floor was not clean, the place was really busy so I can see how it may be hard to keep up with cleaning. Staff was fast with orders though. I can't believe I didn't take pictures of the sausage roll, I ate so many.

Gosh it absolutely did not disappoint & I should have ordered another one! The taste of this sandwich was so delicious, I couldn't chew it fast enough. The cabbage, tartar sauce & fish-katsu sauce are delightful together. This food truck is located right at Canada Line subway station - Vancouver Centre Station - main entrance on Georgia at Granville. You'll notice it when you come up the escalator & turn right onto the Granville Mall. Basically it's right near Nordstrom. I don't know if I'll bother with the other sandwich options cause I just love the Fish-Katsu that much. It's a very small simple sandwich. Nothing really fancy to it at all, but the taste utterly rocks. So glad I tried it & I can't wait to go back!

I got the gyu-katsu sandwich. I found the sandwich a bit small and for the price, it was pretty expensive. $16 after tax. Don't get me wrong. It was tasty. I found it nothing wow. The beef was cut in a certain way that it remained as one piece to make it easier to season. The gyu katsu is their more popular sandwich. However, it doesn't come with any lettuce or anything other than the beef and sauce. The bread was nothing special. It was basically thin regular bread. It does take them about 10 mins to make the sandwich. In terms of the way they serve it, it was presented to me nicely and the box was made to perfectly fit the sando inside. Not a bad sandwich but it was just pretty pricy.
