Asian Island food fusion, super good. Two bowls are good decent size to feed a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids). There's outdoor seating and indoor!

hit this place up on our bicycle food tour. we were pretty stuffed already; however, we really enjoyed the food even still. they have a few food carts here to choose, but if you're in the mood for some legit bulgogi, well, then, stop on by and get some. asian/hawaiian fusion is on point. loved this place!

I've been going to Namu for quite a few years. I generally like their food and love that each dish comes with a bunch of accoutrements. I got the teriyaki chicken plate. It was super fresh and hit the spot. I forgot to ask that they not add teriyaki sauce to the rice but will do so next time. I love all the little side dishes with the exception of the spinach. I find it tastes super sweet and isn't quite what I want when I already have pickled cucumbers and teriyaki.

Namu has become one of my takeout favorites during the past pandemic year. I initially visited thanks to a friend who wanted to try their Hawaiian Plate lunch. He loves it - finding it preferable to anything he's had on multiple island visits. I've tended to go with their Korean options, not being a huge fan of Kalua Pork, and have been very happy with my choices. I did try the Pulled Pork sandwich (Kalua based) and it was fine, but I've always found pulled pork to be like pizza - no two are the same, and everyone has their own preferences - mine is heavy on caramelized sauce, which is not Namu's style. But, I will gladly take anything that Namu makes that involves Bulgogi Beef. That includes their cheesesteak sandwich (spectacular, and easily enough for 2 meals) and the bulgogi beef plate (served with a delightful spinach salad, among other things). Service has been reliably friendly and efficient, and even though I get my orders to go, there is a substantial amount of covered space in front of the cart, allowing me to keep dry, regardless of the weather. Just FYI, if you're eating there, beers from Scout go well with all of Namu's offerings.

This place is in a neat little food court plaza with lots of spaced out seating during this time of COVID. I ordered the Bulgogi beef plate and would say that it definitely checked off all the boxes for tasting like Bulgogi and having sufficient side dishes to make this a balanced meal. Having said that, I don't usually have high expectations for fusion food, and unfortunately my expectations were justified. I probably wouldn't go back. It wasn't particularly memorable for me and not a place I'd strongly recommend to a friend if they were to want Hawaiian or Korean food. Do check this food plaza out though and I would recommend trying it at least once!

Combination of Hawaiian and Korean cuisine sounded weird. But what's not weird in Portland right. Bulgogi beef plate is amazing, the meat is tender and the flavors are delicious. Must try!

Korean & Hawaiian fusion? It was the only food truck here (part of the tidbit food pod) that sounded interesting. I LOVED my plate! $8 Gogi Breakfast Kalua style pork, 2 fried eggs, rice and sauce. This reminded me of Hawaii! I loved it. The sauce was soooooooo good. The pork was amazing. The guy was very nice and friendly. The wait was super long BUT WORTH IT!

Aloha bowl! Didn't taste anything like Korean / Hawaiian food.

So excited to see the food cart pod at division Street! And what a variety of carts. Korean, Indian, Pizzas, Filipino, Chinese.. Korean food was on my mind since a while and there it was "NAMU" beautifully decorated exteriors with a corner lot! There are some Hindu chants written near the delivery window. When asked, the chef said it was owner's idea. It was going well with the cart decor. Liked: Customer service. Friendly and they customized my Aloha bowl as more spicy. Decor of the cart. Didn't like: Aloha bowl how is tasted. Utter disappointment. Taste 1/5. Had dry sticky rice, Yakisoba noodles in bbq sauce, Chunks of tofu with namesake avocado and pineapple. I found the serving portion too small and didn't taste anything like Hawaiian or Korean. Rating is for customer service and cart experience.

This Bulgogi Cheesesteak induces the most serene and beautiful state of mind. Layer after layer of delightful tastes overcome my tastebuds with exquisite ecstasy. The melty cheese, the perfectly caramelized onions, the texture of the toasted bread, and most importantly the indescribable euphoria that is the bulgogi beef. All mixed together to create something that you cannot help but feel blessed to exist in this moment of time and space with this creation. Miracles exist, and they exist in the form of the Bulgogi Cheesesteak.

Haven't been here since the Belmont location, but tried out the Hawaian plate, which came with came with some pulled pork, rice, and mac salad. The pork was amazing as it was super tender and warm. The mac salad was ok, but something about it was off a bit. Overall, pretty good dish.

While the kitchen takes its time and the pricing details can be a little confusing at the register, the sheer amount of food you receive makes it well worth the wait. Trio Plate (4/5): An absolutely massive sampler that provides enough food to easily split between two or three people. The container is packed so full that it requires a rubber band to stay shut, with extra items overflow-packed into separate containers. The individual proteins are a bit of a mixed bag, but the deep frying technique is delicious: Ono Chicken (4/5): Perfectly crispy chicken thighs that are deep-fried fresh to order with no old oil taste. However, I felt like the sweet and savory garlic shoyu sauce described on the menu was lacking the depth of flavor I was expecting. Dynamite Pork Katsu (4/5): The highlight of the plate. It also had a crispy light batter with no greasy residue. The spicy mayo and katsu "dynamite" sauce carry the dish, though all the sauce is concentrated on the top layer, leaving the pieces at the bottom a bit bland. Meat Jun (3/5): My least favorite of the options. The egg and flour batter felt sparse, and the thinly sliced marinated beef was tough to chew from the heavy amount of tendon. Sides (5/5): The singular scoop of rice is a massive portion on its own and perfectly cooked. Swapping the second scoop for mac salad is highly recommended, which was delicious, perfectly balanced, and not overly weighed down by heavy mayo. Logistics Tip: Arriving on a weekend afternoon shortly after opening means walking into a very busy place. Be sure to grab a physical menu from the stand near the cashier before jumping into the line to order. Note that the menu lacks transparency regarding upcharges: you may encounter unexpected $1-2 additions for certain premium meats in the Trio combo, as well as a $2 charge to swap a rice scoop for mac salad. Parking is highly limited, so expect to hunt for a spot along the surrounding neighborhood streets.

Nolan's Hawaii accent is still thick it made me feel like I was back home on the west side for a second (!!!!thank you!!!!) I met some people outside the food stand, a business man from Hawaii and some California people I mistaken were from Hawaii as well, lol. It was an awesome interaction, from the moment I got there I got greeted by strangers waiting for food, to going up to the window and asking "so what? No more nuttin left?" Nolan's response was "Nah I only get mochicko chicken and kalua, you likem?" Haha that was a definite yes! Won't miss out on home food esp if word of mouth was already out there. So I waited a few minutes for my food, and the box was heavy. Haha it felt like when you would eat at your aunty and uncles house and they pack you the party left overs. I opened my plate lunch and I was greeted by a huge portion of chicken, pork rice and Mac salad. And let me tell you, the Mac salad didn't have so much frills like what you would see in a Portland Hawaii food joint. It was sauced, and seasoned. PERFECT! No need for all the extra add ons. As I started eating, let me say that kalua pork was no joke so moist and easy to eat not even close to dried out. The chicken tasted nice and crispy with just enough marinate and fluff. I haven't found this anywhere in Oregon..until here. Yeah sure there's a poke and katsu bar in the shopping center next door... but I take the random food cart in the parking lot any day over something franchised

For the price they were charging, it was not a very big portion. Besides that, it just wasn't that good. A good salmon is normally pink to orange. This salmon was barely pink. I couldn't taste the garlic or the Ponzu at all. The veggies were crisp, the rice was a good quality, but there was just no seasoning. The salmon was very bland. I didn't know if it was just because of the seasoning, maybe they used a low quality or a previously, frozen salmon. I love good salmon. This was not good salmon.
