    Beef Stir-fried Brisket

The stir fried beef brisket with chives and onions is one of my favorites from Namudol. Have also tried their bbq galbi short ribs, roasted mackerel, and galbi tang. Their dishes are consistently good, especially the bbq options. Pretty solid choice for delicious restaurant style traditional Korean fare at food hall prices.

It's now open at the HMart food court 2nd part. There are quite a few tables in this food hall. There wasn't a line to order, but the fresh food takes about 15-20 minutes to make. Worth the wait. You can check out other food stalls while waiting. They have an intercom throughout the food court that calls the number when your order is ready. I like their soups. I had seolleong tang and it was very delicious. Very flavorful. They didn't give salt, but I added it myself. It comes with rice. The mackerel is really good too. It's a fillet fish with skin. The skin is crispy. Slightly salty, but is good with the rice it comes with. It also comes with clear soup and kimchee. A great meal that feels lighter. I also had the bulgogi japchae. The noodles are sticky though and it's all stuck together, like vermicelli. Different than some other japchae noodles. It's still pretty tasty though. They have 30% off until November. Worth trying, especially with the discount.

Solid food. Ambience is minimal as it's just part of a food court. Service is a bit slow for some dishes but it's fine. Food is solid. I'm swayed by the grand opening discount right now. Without it, I think it's just about par but given the location I think they're not great value. Galbi is an okay portion for the price but with good flavor. Tender enough but could just a bit more cooking time. Sides are a bit weak. Sprout soup (very sprouty), funky kimchi that's satisfying, and lightly marinated boiled sprouts that are mostly an afterthought. Galbi tang has good flavor without being too salty. You get 4 good pieces of boiled galbi. Missing the turnip but they have scallions, glass noodles, enoki mushrooms and thin sliced scrambled egg. Decent bowl. More than acceptable for a food court.

    Pork belly lunch box

The food hall next to HMart has opened and until November 2024 they have 30% off their food. There is parking on the rooftop. It's a little confusing finding the entrance and then leaving as there are no clear signs. Namudol is one of the food stalls there with a variety of rice dishes. We ordered the pork belly lunch box. They did not say there would be a long wait when they took our order. There is a loudspeaker that announced the number orders. You have to listen carefully for your number but you can find a table to wait for them. There is a lot of seating but it still fills up fast. There is also a quick turnover so the tables are not cleaned fast enough. If you look at the receipt I included I had placed it on the table and it picked up the sauce that was on the table that I didn't notice. They called out number within 10 minutes. The pork belly lunch box comes with a lot of items like fried dumplings which tasted a little like fried wontons. The filling was a little mushy but still good. There was kimchi, marinated bean sprouts and a salad which weren't bad. A clear broth is included with the meal. The star of the dish the fried pork belly was deceptively simple. There was no marinade, it was just delicious pork belly fried well. Dip it in the sauce and eat it with the rice provided. It's so good. We were very happy with that meal.

This place is like a typical food stall. There isn't much to it, but I got a galbi tang that comes with banchan on the side, which was kimchii and bean sprouts.the galbi was very tender so I liked that part. The broth was made just right, but I didn't like the kimchii too much as it was a bit tart or too ripe for me. I like my kimchii, really new or unripe. I also liked how there's still a 30% discount put into place until winter. Overall, it was a good experience.

I love the Hmart food court. Fantastic value with the current 30% off the food hall and is so awesome to have around after grocery shopping. Namudol is part of the second phase of the food section and is my favorite so far. Their galbitang, grilled mackerel and chicken lunch box special are very good. The prices are okay even without the discount application. Service is quick but be prepared for how busy this section is. Thankfully it's on the outer area before the narrow hallway with seating begins but can feel cramped as you wait for your order. You also get some free soup with some of the orders. We usually have alot of leftovers after ordering several dishes here. Good food, great choices and plenty of variety for all.

    Samgyetang

This is my go to place when I go to H-Mart in LIC. I tried several stews and by far my favorite is the Samgyetang. The portion is good and best during cold days.

Ate and brought here today by myself for lunch that I had brought only the pork jowl lunch box that comes with soup. The service there was also attentive that I didn't feel rushed about what to choose, buy and eat. It was delicious and I couldn't agree more. Moreover, since it was newly opened, I had gotten a 30% discount. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :D

Spicy pork bone broth with vegetables
    Olivia L.

Food was pretty good and the wait wasn't too bad. We order a galbi tang and a pork bone broth, both of which came with a side of rice, sprouts, and Kim chi. Prices are decent with the 30% off, but too high for a food court - they also raised prices since opening three weeks ago. $18.95 instead of $17 for the galbi tang and $16.95 instead of $15 for the pork bone soup. I do appreciate that they posted the updated prices though instead of just charging them only (which I've seen other vendors do there).

Been here a few times now and very satisfied with all the dishes we tried so far - japchae, mackerel, galbi tang, samgyetang, and stir fried brisket. Good portions for the price, esp with the discount. The galbi tang actually had some big chunks of meat in it and the broth was super flavorful. The samgyetang was also delicious and hearty. It can take a bit of time to get when it's busy but otherwise it's pretty fast service considering how much they have to get ready! Would definitely order any of these again but also looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu!

Ordered takeout. Unfortunately I can't say anything stood out - the samgae tang is the stinky type.

The army stew was not only flavorful but also had a bunch of toppings inside. The servers were super attentive and even asked us if we wanted our hot pot to be reheated once it sat for a while as we chatted. That being said, I do want to point out that I believe this place is more suited for a bigger group of people. My friend and I enjoyed everything about the meal however, the hot pot was huge and we finished only like 1/4 of it and ordering the meats was a little weird. I am use to going to KBBQ where they tell me that the minimum meat orders is 2 but here, you must at least have two orders of any meat you choose. We both wanted the marinated short ribs with pork belly but ended up with two orders of the marinated short ribs because we were more in the mood for something marinated. Now, this is just a preference of ours but in case you want more of a variety of foods, I would recommend coming here with a bigger group of friends and grabbing a few drinks as well!

Heat wasn't even on when we went & it was 13 degrees. At 1st, she said the heat wasn't working. Then she said the heat was only covering the back of the restaurant. Some of the food is good tho. For banchan: 1) 3/5 odeng- standard 2) 2/5 mixed veggies: mostly broccoli, 1 cauliflower floret, 1 carrot slice. This was bland & cauliflower overcooked. 3) 3/5 kimchi- standard 4) 4/5 potato kimchi- This was different. We all liked it. Spicy, sweet, savory. Great mix of well-balanced flavors. 5) 3/5 bok choy kimchi- decent Main course: 1) 3/5 sundubu jjigae- It was decent, not as good as Mapo bbq. The broth cuda been denser, with more flavor. The complexity of flavors was lacking. 2) 2/5 oyster jeon- I fail to understand why Keon is so bland. The soy sauce served with it was so salty. This is why we requested another sauce. 3) 5/5 bibim naengmyeon- We had to ask for mustard & vinegar. This was surprisingly mild. It was perfectly spiced for me. This was my fave dish. If I ever go back, I'd def get this. 4) 2/5 soy garlic wings- This was just salty. Didn't taste the garlic. Lacked flavor besides salt. 5) 3/5 Korean style wings- sweet & hella spicy
