Cute small restaurant for Korean food in Sunnyside. We got here a bit early for dinner so we were the only ones there, but by the time we left the indoor portion was full. The service was friendly. I ordered the Bulgogi Kimbap and Cheese Ramen Spicy Rice Cake. Overall, my biggest issue was that the food was a bit blander than I would have liked. It was definitely cheaper than finding comparable food in Koreatown, but still a bit on the pricey end for what it is, in my opinion.
I finally got to eat at Doma and I realize now why it has taken me so long. They don't take reservations but it is literally so small inside they can only seat 4 tables at a time. Definitely not a great place to go with more than 2 people, but 3 or 4 in a party would be the absolute maximum. The atmosphere is cozy and it gives off real mom and pop vibes. The server was so so sweet and accommodating. My friend and I ordered so much food but she went above and beyond to fit it all on our table and take away our empty dishes as needed to give us more space. I will say though, Korean food is not necessarily the best when it comes to vegan/vegetarian options, so definitely make any dietary restrictions clear before ordering. I did ask to make some alterations and our server seemed happy to accommodate. Even if the menu description doesn't say things have meat in them, it's likely you'll find a random beef dumpling or piece of pork/chicken in your tofu stew anyway. Overall, would recommend! But go at an off day/time to have better chances of getting a table.
Food 4 japche 4 good. Could use some sesame oil or seeds. galbijjim 3 bland, meat was tough and too lean for galbijjim. Need the strong Korean spices including salt and pepper. Wish it came w the rice or side of Kimchee. Ambiance don't know got delivery fast 5 Service 5 got Uber eats. Pretty fast. Food was ok. Not sure if I would order from here again.
Just ordered delivery from Doma! I got the combo that includes dubbokki, donkatsu and kimbap. Overall, I think it was tasty. The only thing I didn't like was that the dubbokki had barely any rice cakes! A classic dubbokki has some veggies and mostly rice cake and fish cake. But I would say that it was 70% veggies and 30% rice cake :( The kimbab was yummy and the donkatsu was very good as well. I liked the soup on the side which was spicy bean sprout soup which is classic for a kimbap side. The packaging was really neat and easy to work with and the delivery time was good too!
I was craving Korean food while far from home, this spot seemed to be the right place to quell those cravings. The selection of Korean restaurants in Koreatown is probably more plentiful, but queens to Manhattan just for lunch is a bit of a trek, so I decided to stay in the neighborhood. Doma is a very small restaurant, there are 4 tables inside and 2 tables outside, at any given time they could not serve more than 12 customers simultaneously, it is the definition of a hole in the wall. When I walked in there was no one greeting me and the waitress didn't show up until a few minutes later which was a bit strange, I was considering leaving because I thought there was just no wait staff. There was only one person waiting tables and it was hard to get her attention as I was seated outside and she didn't check on me very frequently. I ordered spicy pork rice over a stone pot, and while the flavor was good, I gotta say the serving size was definitely way too small. Combined with only one banchan (cucumber kimchi) and a spicy bean sprout soup, it definitely didn't fill me up.
I have come a couple of times here. The service is very welcoming, very nice and attentive. The food is good here it feels nice.

After seeing the traffic heading into inner Queens, we decided to find a Korean restaurant closer to eat. After my friend checked out this restaurant and menu, we decided to eat here. It's a small restaurant with a few tables that seats 2-4 people. When we arrived there it was empty so we picked a table and ordered: Assorted Fried Mandoo (7 pieces) consisted of vegetables, kimchi, meat. Spicy Squid Dupbap -- way too spicy for me though my friend wasn't a fan Bulgogi Bibimbap - this was a big dish -- good for sharing Kimchi Jigae - soft tofu -- this was delicious. Soy Garlic Combo Fried Chicken - thick fried skin is my only issue but it's fried chicken! So good that we came back there week after to try ramen dish without soup. It was good though we didn't understand the cheese on the dish. Definitely a homey place to go to.
I had an average review when I came here for the first time. But after that it's become my comfort place. I always go there for some spicy tuna kimbap and sondobu on a rainy day. Never fails to make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. If you're looking for go to I'd say this place is one of the few things that make sunnyside feel like home.

I came for lunch and the place isn't big but it's cozy enough to eat in or you can always do take out. I had the beef bulgogi over rice and it was delicious. It was a stir fry of steak, peppers, cabbage, mushrooms and scallions with white rice. The portion was perfect and the flavors were amazing. I did noticed most of the other people at the restaurant were having a soup. My curiosity got the best of me and I asked what it was. It turned out to be bibimbap, this dish looked amazing and I will get it next time.

Bulgogi Kimbap: DELICIOUS! Must order this no matter what ! Banchan: only came with few side dishes, however all of them were good. Seafood pancake: it's huge. Medium Sized pizza. If you Order this make sure there's atleast 3-4 people on the table to finish this off. Sweet and sour chicken: donor recommend, a little too overwhelming for me a little too much Sauce action going on. It was super crispy tho. I would come back here with more people because pretty much everything is shareable with 2-3 people and only two of us went that day, it was way too much food for us on a very very hot summer day!

I've been to Doma a few times and love it. Some of the best food of any kind (it is Korean) in the neighborhood, which is loaded with great restaurant options. A small mom-and-pop, maybe mom-and-daughter, place -- the kind you feel good supporting. And the food is superb. Authentic, unique, adventurous even. The servers are helpful, efficient, and friendly. Food great, service great. But after today's visit I'm not sure I'll go back. Maybe I was there on a bad day, but an employee (maybe the proprietor) so messed with the otherwise lovely ambience of the place that by the end of the meal, I couldn't wait to escape. To me, it's just irritating as hell when somebody in a restaurant is making noise with their telephone. Maybe they feel the need to subject everyone in the restaurant to their conversation. Maybe they want to watch a TV show. Maybe they want to listen to THEIR music, so they decide everyone else is going to listen to it too. Maybe they want to use it to make the kids shut up. Whatever, it just seems totally inappropriate and disruptive. Doma is a very small restaurant and a woman who appeared to be an employee, maybe even a proprietor, was doing exactly that, by herself at a table, and everyone in the restaurant could hear it. HAD to hear it, whether we wanted to or not. The restaurant had music on, but she was at one of the few tables watching what mostly sounded like a TV show and it conflicted with the music and the whole atmosphere of the place. By the end of the (delicious) meal, I couldn't wait to get out of there. But if you're more tolerant than I am, give it a try. (Nothing like this has happened when I've gone to Doma before). Craving for some spicy soup in this weather and found this small cozy restaurant . Small restaurant, maybe 6 tables available. I got seafood tofu stew, came with one cucumber side dish. The soup taste really good, came with a prawn, and some pieces of squid, I love the zucchini in there too, such a nice touch. Service is okay. Total before tips is $20.63. Watch out when you are ordering the fried chicken wings from Doma. You only get half of what you pay for since a majority of their wings are cut in half... Their chicken is crispy but unfortunately they fried them to the point where the meat is dry too read more

First thing is the people working there were so sweet and attentive. They took Covid pretty seriously. We sat at a little table on the sidewalk out front. The food was amazing!!! We had the spicy kimchi dumplings, chicken raMen and spicy chicken over rice. We are every bite. read more

This is a hidden gem! I ant believe I didn't know about this place until now. The place is cozy, maybe can only fit 10-12 people. Service was great! The waiter and waitress were so nice! Get the soy garlic chicken wings! It's the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and crunchy. Much better than UFC. L.A. Galbi box: galbi was good, not burnt like at Natural Tofu Restaurant. Even the vegetables underneath the Galbi was seasoned and tasty. I ate them all, and I'm a carnivore. The salad with black pepper dressing was good too. I never tried a black pepper dressing. But it made me more veggies. Bibimbap: all the veggies were fresh. Fried meat dumplings: I was surprised it wasn't greasy at all. It was very crispy and so good. Seafood pancake: it was like a deep dish Korean pizza. Ok maybe I exaggerated but it was a huge portion and they didn't skimp on the squid. There was squid in every bite, not just batter. It also didn't feel greasy like other restaurants. How do they do that? Kimbap: can't go wrong...unless you ordered too much food and can't finish everything Doma: It's like a Korean mom's home cooking. The food was delicious and it felt good. I just followed my friend since she said there is a really good Korean place in her neighborhood, and IT WAS REALLY GOOD. We ordered lunch set for just $25 and it was worth every penny. If you are in the Sunnyside, don't pass by, walk in and eat! I am huge fan, huge fan. Thank you! read more

I think Doma does a good job with packaging and presentation. Their Bulgogi Kimbap was very good but I was disappointed with their Chicken Teriyaki Box. The chicken was overcooked and was not a true chicken teriyaki. It was more of a stir fry chicken with mixed vegetables. The side dishes pictured on the menu showed a side salad but I received celery sticks and baby carrots instead. read more

I been coming to doma for 10 months straight. Few times they really disappointed me with the food I order. Other times this food were great and delicious. Wings: Their wings are not great! One time I ordered spicy wings and the wings were not fully covered with the sauce. I dont recommend the wings. Cold noodles: Be sure you asked the waitress if the noodles will come out of cold instead of lukewarm! Last time I ordered and the noodles was hot not cold. The waitress said ice machine broken. Tsk. Kimchi stew: Their kimchi stew are great! It wont disappoint you! It's the best one on the menu. Kimbap: I ordered kimbap 4 months ago which was good but these days it weren't that great. Almost all their dishes included mushroom, red pepper and broccoli. They put mushroom on my kimchi stew. Recently I went and ordered that which was sad experience because it tasted more like mushroom than kimchi stew. read more
