Military cheese ramyun
Sheila M.

This restaurant is located inside the food court in Hmart in Long Island City on 48th st near Northern Blvd. This is a takeout and eat in food court. The service was very pleasant and friendly. Service was fast. My daughter and I shared this military cheese ramyeon. This noodle soup contains ramyeon, 2 pieces of spam, bok choy, lettuce, onions, one whole hotdog, fried egg and cheese. The soup was very flavorful. We were a little disappointed because there was not enough cheese in it. There was enough food to share. We will have this meal again.

I have tried plenty of ddukbokki as the spicy and chewy goodness is hard to dislike but it's the first time I've seen long uncut option. The family set was $50 with choice of rice cake topping and sauce, we chose squid with the classic gochujang sauce, fried basket of deep fried veggies, shrimp and squid, and udon with choice of protein. We were pleasantly surprised at how well everything went together and enjoyed every bite! The rice cakes are perfectly chewy and soft in the same bite. They had a rose bacon sauce and butter garlic sauce that sounds amazing too.

H Mart in Long Island City is my favorite H Mart in NYC. The food hall is the standout feature that makes this H Mart so appealing to me. This time, I checked out Dduk Dabang as I've been eyeing their EXTRA LONG toppoki (approx 10'). Cheers to a year of good fortune and health! *Beef Brisket Rose Topokki (M) $22.00 ** The medium size topokki platter came with five long topokki, ramyun noodle, beef briskets, fish cakes, veggies and two deep-fried jabchae dumplings. The chewy bouncy rice cakes and ramyun were smothered in the rosé-coloured gochujang sauce that is the perfect balance of creamy, spicy, and sweet. It was interesting they used glass noodle as dumpling filing. Note that I asked for less spicy but it was still pretty spicy. *Kimchi Fried Rice with Ham $14.99 * I was blown away by how flavorful their kimchi fried rice was!! Hands down the most delicious kimchi fried rice I've had lately. It was perfectly saucy and the runny egg yolk added a rich, creamy texture. It had a great value as the portion size was huge! *Crispy Seaweed Roll $9.99 They were made of glass noodles rolled in seaweed. I found the deep-fried batter was slightly too thick. I wished the size of the rolls was bigger, but they were still enjoyable when I bathed them in the rosé topokki sauce. *Strawberry Ade $4.50, Peach Ade $4.50

Big portion and tasty food Ordered the butter garlic tteokbokki. Huge portion and rich in flavor. Would recommend sharing this as it is a lot for one person. Shared space in food hall with other vendors next to Hmart. Clean and decent amount of seating.

4/5 mild king Squid topokki $21- really good, wish they'd cut the tteok tho, comes w/: ramen, half egg, the usual cabbage & carrot, & 2 fried dumplings which contain glass noodles mainly, calamari was well seasoned, I wish all restaurants seasoned their calamari like this

Stopped by to do some grocery shopping and hadn't checked out the new food court yet. I'm definitely impressed by the dining space and the multitude of vendors! Dduk Dabang has a straightforward menu of rice cake dishes with different sauce options, ramens, and other entrees. There are also sides, that are fairly big portions. We ordered the Rose topokki (rice cakes) that also came with beef, ramen noodles, two fried dumplings, and half a boiled egg. They used the perfect amount of sauce so that the rice cakes and ramen soaked up the rose sauce! By mixing it a bit the beef also got that seasoning but not overwhelmingly so. We also ordered the popcorn chicken with the sweet chili sauce, and the squid + pork bomb rice. The sauce for the squid is delicious! I personally love the Korean dish Ojingeo-bokkeum (spicy stir fried squid), and this one had an excellent sauce, although more pork than squid in the dish I'd say. Food is served in big portions at DDuk Dabang, and good quality. I'd recommend! (Will warn you that they do not offer free water cups; they charge $2.50 for a water bottle, so bring a water bottle if you wanna avoid that)

After demolishing corndogs and mochi donuts, my sisters and I waddled into Dduk Dabang. Even though we were already full, we decided to share the kimchi ham onigiri and it was so flavorful it left me speechless. Literally the best thing I ate all day. If food could win an Oscar, this onigiri would've been up there, acceptance speech and all. The menu is packed with shareable dishes that I can't wait to come back for. But honestly, the onigiri was so good, I might just order three and call it a day.

Really good food stand! We ordered via the kiosk at the register and our food was ready within 10 minutes. I had the Pork and Squid Bomb which was massive and I ended up getting a to go box to take home whatever I couldn't finish. I would definitely come back again and try their ramen next time.

Very friendly service. Food court ambiance. The food was very tasty and nourishing. The broth is vegetable based and full of flavor. You can get it it mild, medium or spicy. I opted for the hot sauce on the side so I could add it at leisure. Even though this tom yum style soup was from a food court it was satisfying and delicious. This day was particularly cold and the soup warmed me up and helped heal me. Highly recommend

The food is pretty good if you like ramyun and topokki. They also have rice bowls. The pork belly ramyun was pretty tasty. The pork belly was flavorful. They pack the soup separately for take-out. The beef brisket topokki was good too. The topokki is very long, so you have to cut it to eat it. It is nice and chewy. The beef has to be soaked in the sauce for some flavor. They separate the beef for take-out. The meat bomb rice is beef with a runny egg on rice. The beef is very flavorful and the egg is good with it. The rice is flavored from the sauce. There was a wait to order. After ordering, the wait for the food to be ready was about 20-30 minutes. They will call your number when it's ready. They have quite a few tables in the food court to eat-in. If dining in, they have reusable bowls and trays that you return back to them after you finish eating. You have to specify for take-out, if you want to have it packed to-go.

Located in the hmart food court this is a good option if you want to eat Korean style ramen. They are participating in the 30 percent off promo but be careful- the prices on their menu at the shop already account for the 30 percent off- so don't expect it to be cheaper than that. We tried their pork belly ramen and it was a nice spice with plenty of accompaniments. It came out quick and it was a very good portion. Tempted to try their rice cakes but it's massive and def meant to be shared. Will be back.

Food: We ordered the King Squid Rice Cake Platter which included fried squid, half an egg, long pieces of rice cake, fish cake, onion, cabbage, three fried dumplings, ramen noodles, and scallions. The squid was flavorful and fried nicely. The rice cake was the perfect texture. The sauce is quite spicy which is good if you can tolerate spice, but they also have a mild spice option. Service: Staff were friendly and helpful! Ambiance: This is an eatery located in Hmart's new food hall. There is plenty of seating on both sides of the food hall. Overall, I highly recommend this eatery! For their grand opening, all menu items are currently 30% off.

Nestled within the new food court area next to Hmart LIC, dduk dabang delivers on your toppoki/ramen pot fix! We got the large King Squid Toppoki (we added beef as a topping) and sweet chili Crunch Korean Fried chicken. Personally, I'd skip the beef bulgogi topping next time, but the rest of the toppoki (rice cake) dish delivered. The korean Fried chicken was also freshly made and delicious. Definitely a tasty spot for Korean street food - I'm excited to come back and try more! As the food court is new, it wasn't really packed and had a really nice interior and clean tables/restrooms. The food court has a limited time (until November afaivt) grand opening 30% off sale on food which is such a deal. In addition, dduk dabang had a promotion when I dropped by where they gave some free household items if you ordered more than a certain amount.

Got seated at the bar after lining up ~15min before opening on a Friday morning. Smoked dashi ramen was AMAZING. The broth had so much seafoody depth, which makes sense considering we found many clams in our bowl as well! It was a bit lighter than a tonkatsu broth, but a bit heavier than a shoyu-base. The noodles were the perfect bouncy texture as well. Yuzu highball: A great refreshing complement to the heavier soup broth. Great vibes all around.

We tried the smoked dashi ramen and spicy tan tan ramen. Both were great. I enjoyed the subtle smokiness of the dashi broth and thought it paired well with the clams. It definitely felt more unique compared to a traditional ramen. The spicy tan tan ramen had a much bolder and classic flavor profile. The pork was tender but not fatty. We also shared the matcha kakigori, which I may have enjoyed even more than the ramen because the matcha flavor was so strong! There is also a red bean filling in the middle. They also offer a selection of signature cocktails. We tried the yuzu margarita, which was refreshing, and the Japanese cocktail, which I liked for the fresh celery and elderflower flavors. Overall, a great spot that is worth checking out. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance if you want to avoid the long wait.

I have a shrimp allergy and politely asked if the shrimp tempura could be substituted. The server immediately said no, without offering any alternative or showing much concern. He said I can remove it myself. I said so let the shrimp inside the bowl for me to remove? WTH. For a restaurant, especially one serving customizable ramen dishes, with a allergy list post on the wall by the counter where I sat at B1, a little flexibility or empathy toward food allergies would go a long way. The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming, which made the overall dining experience uncomfortable. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and sadly this visit fell short. The smashed cucumber was good. Spicy dumpling was good. Ramen broth was light, not as rich or flavorful as others. There are so many good ramen places in NYC, this Chinese Ramen place has lot of room to improve.
