Wish I could give 10 stars! After first great experience with one simple outlet fix, hired Wei to install three ceiling fans. Wei sent us quote online in couple days - and he waited patiently until we bought them to set up appointment. Wei arrived on time with another tech and brought everything he needed. They were clean, respectful, had all tools on a rolling cart, brought own footie covers, masks, vacuum, drop cloths too. Our condo is older so worried about asbestos when drilling. Had all windows/doors open but Wei had a mini vacuum so while tech drilled, Wei held hose to suck up all particles. They wore masks and we did too. We like how he confirmed with us along the way to make sure it was exactly how we wanted it placed, fan, wiring track, new outlet, things we didn't know to ask. Drilling, wiring, covering wires, and overall prep took about an hour each room. Putting together and installing fans took another 45 minutes each, and we had also asked him to install a timer box on our hot water heater - saves money as it will go on when we know we will use, and turn off during evening when we don't. He was able to set timer to turn on and off at two different times. That took a half hour or so. They cleaned up everything nicely, even vacuumed(!), turned electricity back on, wanted to take down all the boxes and trash but we said we would since we have a complicated recycling area. All fan speeds and lights worked as they should and each were perfectly placed in the middle of the room. Very reasonable cost for a full days' work! Cash or check is preferred. We needed to install four Ring cameras which required pulling electrical cables through the tight attic and positioning them correctly. Wei was very responsive throughout the evaluation and estimate process and he quoted a reasonable price. I also felt that Wei was more trustworthy and honest as compared to another vendor that I talked to (which is important for installing security cameras) and so we hired them. Throughout the whole installation process, Wei and Will were very knowledgeable, proficient, and handled the whole job with ease including helping my wife with setting up the Ring app while I reviewed it from mainland. They were also very easy going and went above and beyond including coming back and went to the hot attic later in the day to change the wiring and the location of a camera after we changed our mind, and politely declining our tips for the extra work since they viewed that as part of the job. Electrician Wei He came quickly and evaluated the beeping smoke detector. It was less than a year old and one of several installed at the same time. But it was the only one beeping. Since it was in our home office we needed it fixed right away. Wei answered the phone right away and then came over to look at the problem smoke detector. During Friday pau hana time traffic! Yay! After sharing possible causes, he checked the batteries and the circuit, reset the device, and wallah! No more irritating beeping. I made a request to add a dryer, ev, and disposal outlet on my house. I thought I would have to update my electrical panel since it is full, which would probably be an expensive update. After making my request some companies sent in possible quotes, and so did Wei, but he also offered to come out and give me a consultation. After arranging a time and meeting he saw that I didn't have to update the panel in the house, but that he could use the main panel by the meter to add the circuits saving me hundreds of dollars. He then gave me a quote for the work which seemed very reasonable and about what I wanted to spend on this job. The day of the installation he came early to the house with a worker and finished the job in about half a day. The work looks meticulous and well done, and he had great communication. We recently decided to upgrade the outside wired floodlights on our property to Ring camera lights. Our floodlights were originally installed decades ago when the house was built and are 2 stories off the ground. My husband reached out to several electricians and handymen. Wei (the owner) of Nan Hua responded quickly to my husband and his quote was very affordable. He was very professional and has a fast response time to questions. Because he didn't have any Yelp reviews yet, he put us on his schedule and even offered to come over and meet with us. If we didn't want to proceed after meeting with him the visit would have cost us nothing. Once he and his colleague, Will, arrived we spoke with them and felt good about proceeding. Wei and Will were not only professional and knowledgeable, but very friendly as well. Once Wei had the chance to examine the current floodlights he noticed that the mountings were no longer sound. He was able to change his approach and actually remove the old mounts and adjust the wiring so that we could install the new Ring lights in a different location. They did this for all three lights that we switched out. They also made time so I could setup the cameras on the app to ensure they were positioned correctly and then made adjustments as needed. When the light in my refrigerator went out, I went to go and buy a new one. As I installed it, I noticed that the light did not come on and also realized that the temperature in my refrigerator was not as cold. I started to panic because the night before I had done my grocery shopping and put it all in the frig. I cursed thinking that I had to go and shop for a new refrigerator and all my food would be spoiled. But before I perused the internet, something told me to check the outlet. I pulled our frig out and tested the outlet by plugging a radio into. No dice, it did not turn on. I then tested the radio on another outlet and it worked fine. Basic electric knowledge told me that something tripped the circuit so I went to the breaker to reset it. As I inspected the refrigerator switch, I noticed it could not be reset. I quickly found a super long extension cord and plugged our frig into another outlet and went online to search for an electrician. I'm normally a DIY kind of guy but when it comes to electricity, I don't play around no matter how small the issue is. My first instinct was to go on Yelp and check to see what the people recommended. I tried calling several electricians but got a voicemail. I did leave several emails for several electricians and waited. As I perused down the list, I came across Nan Hua Electric and noticed nothing but 5 stars and glowing reviews. I saw that I had to text a number and it left me feeling like how it was with the other electricians where I had to wait for a response. Within an hour I got a response from Wei and a query as to what the problem was. I told him my situation and even took a picture of the circuit switch so that we are on the same page of what we are working with. Wei got the specifics and offered an appointment the next day to my surprise. Unfortunately I had to push the appointment several days later since I was caught off guard by his availability and the fact that I had to clear space for him to work on the circuit breaker. The day of the appointment came and prepped the clear open space for Wei to come and do his thing. Our appointment was for 9am but he was at my place 10 minutes early. He came into our place and inspected the switch; he was well prepared with the right switch to replace the broken one with and he proceeded to take out his tools and worked quite diligently and in no time we got a new circuit switch for our refrigerator. Wei made sure to check the outlet before we plugged in the refrigerator since another outlet was sharing that line. He went on to explain what could have tripped the switch and offered me some guidance on making sure what not to use. And with that he was done. The cost for the circuit switch change came out to $250 which I found was the average that the other electricians, who responded back after Wei completed the job, charged.
