We came here for breakfast tacos because Google Maps told me it was near me...thank you, Google Maps!! I ordered 2 but will order only 1 in the future because they were so packed with goodness, 1 is a meal in itself. I am a sucker for corn tortillas made fresh to order, and these are phenomenal - not thin and breaking apart like at other restaurants, where they have to layer the corn tortillas - this taco only has 1 and only needs 1 because it's so fresh and fluffy. My son got the chilaquiles tacos, and he couldn't speak they were so good. Be sure to ask for what I believe is chili sauce - it's dark red and has chunks in it. It and the green salsa made the tacos perfection, but my lips are still burning. When I went to write a review, I looked the place up and found out it has a bit of a past - once Fiesta Taco, opened by a family but then sold, and then Don Pablitos. Maybe the family who lost Fiesta Taco got it back? In any case, everyone there was very nice and we will definitely be back. read more

The first time I went to Nana's Mexican Cocina (formally, Don Pablito's Tex-Mex Café) 4620 W. 34th for breakfast tacos, Nana's had just opened for business, and I wasn't too eager to return. However, subsequent visits have proven that their food is much better. Drive thru window, no preorder at a speaker. The driver orders, waits on their order as it's being prepared, all while waiting at the window. Best breakfast tacos ever! This has been our go to place since moving here. Definitely recommend

This used to be the best menudo in Houston. Sadly the food and service are struggling. The menudo had absolutely no flavor. I asked for hominy to be added and it was literally right out of the can. I also requested flour tortillas and received corn. My menudo also took the longest to come to the table. When she finally brought it, she said "sorry it took so long, bro, but nobody wants cold food." But of course it could have been hotter because I saw it on the counter the whole time my family's food was being prepared. I guess she meant the fresh corn tortillas I didn't want. Lastly, when they were taking our dishes away, the lady looked right at the full bowl of menudo then at me. I waited in silence for her to acknowledge or question the uneaten menudo. Nothing. Maybe it was just a off day for them. I hope so. I might try them again, but not for a while. read more

So this is definitely a spot for real hand made tortillas! I only had two tacos and watermelon juice which was fresh juice and delicious. I think their spiciest salsa was probably the best tasting one out of the regular red and green. The flour tacos are BIG if I were to get a breakfast one I would probably just do one. I will definitely return here. This is more of a dive spot not a full on restaurant but after seeing all the good reviews they didn't disappoint read more

Nana's is incredible. The food is great, the staff is awesome, and they did a fantastic job giving some life to the building. I go at least twice a week and I am always so glad I went. The tortillas, the beans, the potatoes, the eggs, the veggies, the meats - it is all excellent. Really happy to have this great restaurant so close by, and even if it wasn't close by, it would still be worth the drive. We've been looking for a go to breakfast taco place in the area, and we're so excited that we've finally found it! We ordered 1 potato egg and cheese, 1 bacon egg and cheese, 1 sausage egg and cheese, and 1 super taco. We took our food to go and everything was still piping hot when we got home. The flour tortillas here are so fresh and delicious, the perfect texture. We also loved the green salsa that came with it - creamy and full of flavor! The only thing is that the green salsa is not very spicy, so next time I'll have to ask if they have some spicier salsa too. Be warned, the super taco is huge! read more

We went in at about 8:45 am ordered the chilaquiles I had them red and green with an over medium egg. My husband had the green. The eggs were made perfect and the food was extremely freshly made . The beans had a great taste. The only thing that was missing was a lime for my water that I requested never got but it's ok I saw that they were busy. Have tried their breakfast tacos before and they are pretty good, almost as good as Tita Gordas. Wanted to try a full breakfast so we got chilequiles and the tortillas were totally soggy and it I think they had been soaked in their regular salsa, which didn't make for a very good dish. Tons of tortillas in there. I had migas which were much better so I put some of my eggs on the other plate because it hardly had any eggs. I love chilequiles but these just were not to our liking. I would go back for the migas, tho! read more
