After dinner around the corner, my kids were craving ice cream, so we were happy to find this spot nearby. The shop is small but full of charm, they serve Thrifty's ice cream and also carry a fun selection of old school candy and little trinkets. It definitely brought back childhood memories seeing some of those nostalgic treats. I was especially surprised to see they had the Choco Tacos, had to grab one for old times sake lol. Service was okay. It was pretty busy, and the line moved a bit slowly since they prepare each order before taking the next, which can take some time, especially if you're ordering shakes. Overall, it was a cute spot with a nostalgic vibe and good ice cream. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

RUN DONT WALK!!!! Homemade choco tacos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After a remarkable day skydiving, I was craving something sweet. I saw a sign that said choco tacos with a line out of the door so I to see what the hype was all about. Waited about 10 minutes and boy was it worth the wait! Wayyy better than my childhood ice cream man's. They were making waffle cones and dipping them in chocolate freshly made to orderrrrrr. Then you can choose if you want your waffle covered in chopped almonds (or peanuts I forget which nut it was) or in toasted coconut which is the preferred way. Wow!! This was something special!!!

The best ice cream so smooth and yumm, this place has no inside seating, but with the Harbor view who wants to sit inside. The staff is very kind and friendly. She gave us a spoon to try if we like it what we pick. The 3 days we were in the area, we came here twice.

If you're looking for some delicious icecream AND happen to be at the Oceanside Harbor, come check out Nana's and Pops Sweet Shop! This small mom and pops icecream shop is serving up the community with a wide variety of flavors that can bring you back to your childhood From pralines, to almond, to vanilla, huckleberry and death by chocolate... Nana's and Pops Sweet Shop is a one-stop shop for ALL! Please all your sweet teeth needs here and get taffy, pop-rocks, lollipops, icecream sandwiches, pickles, hard-candy and so many more styles of candy You can find so much goodness here and although it's a little crammed inside due to limited shop size, you have enough space to wait in line and shop to see all the various types of sweet-treats available! Next time you're in Oceanside Harbor, I highly recommend passing by here and grabbing a waffle-cone or a cup of some deliciousness!

Been bringing my kids here for years and this was VERY disappointing to see that this was what they now sell as a single scoop this is a bathroom Dixie cup... Unbelievable.

We had a hankering for ice cream and Nana's & Pop Pops was nearby so we gave it a try. The ice cream was mediocre. It was more ice than cream, probably made with lower quality ingredients and they were out of almost every single flavor we wanted. We blitzed down the menu and literally one in five flavors were "sold out" which I might expect on a blistering July afternoon but on a dreary January day I think you can communicate better. Just cross it off the sign and save us all some trouble. As far as service goes, we've definitely had better. When we asked the counter person what her favorite flavor was, she peered up from her phone like a deer in headlights. We had to repeat ourselves twice because she couldn't seem to be bothered to put her phone down. Also, I find it odd that an establishment requires patrons to wear masks, has a strict COVID policy for number of people inside the building and a whole ingress/egress flow (you go in one door and out the other) but the person working the counter isn't wearing a mask. The upside: prices were reasonable and the servings were large. They had some cute hand crafted items for sale and interesting candies to purchase as well.

One of the best family owned ice cream and sweet shops around in Oceanside! ***Plus the location in the harbor just makes it better as a 5 minute walk from North Coast Village. Lots of parking both on street and parking lot so easily accessible if driving to the harbor. Food: Lots of different ice cream flavors and salt water taffy's to choice from. Almost too many flavors to choose from if thats even possible! 1. Got the black cherry sugar free ice cream{3.5/5stars} - was very delicious, but only had 2 pieces of cheery in it which was disappointment. Overall, a very family friendly and upbeat ice cream shop with many flavors to choose from!

Visited the Oceanside Harbor for the first time last week on a Sunday. Came here after kayaking around 4:10 pm. The line was long with probably 15+ people in front of my group. I ended up getting two flavors (1/2 scoop each) single scoop on a waffle cone. The ice cream was good! Not the best I've ever had (I am an ice cream fan) but not bad for a local sweet shop in the area. Pros: +LOTS of flavors to choose from +Shop itself is very cute with the various unique candies that you can take a look at while waiting in line +Ice cream was a cheap price +Service was friendly and pleasant - they are very patient and accommodating with large groups. We were a group of 4 +You can try sample ice cream flavors (this is as of Sun, Sep 5, 2021 still during COVID) Cons: -Located in a popular area, it may be difficult to find parking on a weekend (we certainly did) FYI: They accept CASH, CREDIT, or DEBIT. 30 cents charge for credit/debit

She had been so excited to come here all day. The couple that she was serving was mortified too hearing how rude she was. She was condescending and completely unprofessional. On top of that, part of the fun of these candy stores is getting to try all the different types of candy and being able to take just little samples of a bunch of different things. But sweet factory knows this so they've jumped on the opportunity to force you to spend a lot by not being able to control how much of each candy you get. You can't just pick two sour coke bottles, you're getting a pack of 6 if you really want them. Just blatant gouging while not giving a crap about plastic waste. I'll never be back there.

I hate writing low reviews. This is based on the quality of their candy and prices. First off, the…read morerent here must be crazy expensive because l think 4-5 pieces of candy cost us around $20! It was ridiculous. My biggest issue is the fact that so many items we picked were stale or tasted off. They individually package things (for example jelly beans arent sold loosely in bins to scoop up but are in small bags that are individually sealed by them). But due to this we've had issues of flavors being off. Case in point: popcorn flavored jellybeans that also had a flavor of some kind of perfume or "spice" as my daughter said they tasted kinda spicy. I noticed the off taste as well. Another time l bought a ring pop and upon opening and it was LIQUID! I had never seen a hard candy actually turn to liquid, but apparently it can, and l had no idea until this happened. Thankfully we were still AT the mall, we usually take the items home to eat later. I immediately went back to the candy store and told the older gentleman who sold it to us minutes earlier and thankfully kept the receipt. He wasn't thrilled about it but he let me exchange it. No apology, kinda looked at it and l felt like he thought l ruined it on purpose to get my money back. But l just needed the candy my kid was hoping for the first time around. Another thing to note is they do give a military discount but it's only on their candy that they individually package. So it's chocolate and nuts and bulk items in the bins that are usually stale or taste like they've been cross contaminated. You won't be able to buy a candy bar or a ring pop here and still get that discount. I really wish this store had fresher candy. We have told our kids that we won't be back anymore because we just feel it's overpriced and the majority of their bulk candy doesn't taste good. I can go to Walmart or my local grocery store and buy the same item for a lot less. But if they had relative prices to other stores and fresher candy that tastes the way it should, we would buy some every time we're at the mall. Which is around 2-3 times per month. I hope someone that works there sees this (or the franchise owner) and fixes the issue. We would totally go back and spend money here if these issues were fixed. But paying $20 for 4-5 items of candy and then going home and finding they don't taste like they should just makes me sad and frustrated.
