This place is so ratchet. What kind of nail salon doesn't have shellac in 2022? My Lyft driver had already left so I figured I would venture back to 2000 & give regular polish a try ... poor choice! I sat down in Nancy's chair & explained what I wanted. She was very pleasant at first, until I told her that she had shaped my nails wrong. She immediately started being very rough & jerking my hands around in frustration. After she attempted to reshape them I pointed out that my thumb nail did not match my other nails. She pulled my hand toward her, grabbed the tip & threatened to remove them if I didn't like the way she filed them I let her "finish" then shaped both hands myself while she loudly tapped her foot & scowled at me lol I picked a deep red color for my nails. After she finished the second coat I noticed that the color labeled "Million Dollar Red" was practically sheer & closer to hot pink because it had been severely diluted. I asked if she had a true red. She huffed & puffed & pointed back to the retro polish wall. As I was opening the colors to ensure they weren't diluted she demanded that I let her open them to ensure that I didn't "drop & break them." I opened them myself anyway. I settled on an OPI red that looked somewhat fresh. She rudely asked if I was sure about the color this time. I didn't argue with her. It's red enough until I can get to a real salon that does shellac. When I paid, she asked if she could keep the change. Who tf does that? Horrible shop, horrible manners, horrible overall experience. TLDR; Nancy is cheap but rude asf & does subpar work. & if you ask her to fix her shitty work be prepared to have your hands/feet manhandled read more

This review is for the brows and lip waxing only. This salon is close to my house so I became a regular immediately. Of course not just because it's close to my house, but because I like the service and prices. Brow wax was $10 and lip wax was $6 or $8, either way -fair price for what I needed. I saw positive reviews for this salon, and my friend was getting her nails done nearby (there was only one appointment available there) so I decided to go to Nancy Nails for a shellac mani and regular pedi. The girl doing my mani may have been new, or perhaps she just wasn't attentive. She forgot to re-start the UV light in between coats until I reminded her, and I had top coat on my finger tips and outside of my nail beds upon completion of the mani. I've never had that happen. Anyone else who has done my nails notices if there's top coat on my fingers or nail beds, and promptly wipes it away. I've never had top coat left behind on any of my skin. An hour after I left the salon, I tried to remove the top coat from one of my fingertips, and ended up pulling some of the nail polish with it. This is not something I would expect from a salon providing professional services. Less than a week after I got the mani, the edges started to peel. I've never had a shellac mani start to peel so soon after getting it. I always get close to 3 weeks of perfect nails. With how much I paid, I did not expect this. On a positive note (and the reason for the two stars) my pedicure was great. It was clear the girl doing my toes knew what she was doing. Each step was done correctly, and she paid careful attention to my big toe. She did a great job with the flower, and overall, I really loved the pedi. I only went to this salon out of convenience, and will not be going back in the future. read more

I decided to give Nancy another chance and Iwas happy I did. Not sure why today was different but she did a much better job, thus the addition of a star and an updated review! Her shop was empty again, but this time I came alone and when someone did come in she told them to come back in 45 minutes, meaning she was able to do a very thorough job without rushing. Nancy is so nice. I'm surprised by the other review. She is a small business woman running her own shop. Ever since my first visit she has been very sweet. She always remembers me and gives me great treatment. My tips look great and always get compliments! As for price, she is the same or less than the others in the area. Nancy is such a sweet lady, I've gone there for a few years here and there. I used to go often for eyebrows and lip waxes and I was never not satisified with her work. She does both underneath your lip and on upper lip! Usually places only do the upper lip and for more money. It had been almost 9 months since I've gone to see her and I recently walked in 20 minutes before closing and she took me in for a pedicure with no hesitation and went over closing time. As soon as she found out that the mani-pedi was for my daughter and not me, she became suddenly too busy to help us - even though there were no customers in her shop! I walked in and it was completely empty so that was nice. I told her I wanted a pedicure, and then five min in I said I might as well do a manicure too. She gave me a 10 minute pedicure doing the basics such as cutting my toenails and putting on the polish, I didn't get a massage/scrub etc. then instead of the manicure I told her I wanted acrylic nails since it was still just her and I. She cut my nails very short and was cringing w pain a few times. was rushing and not being thorough with my full set even though it was still her and I. At the very end she told me it was $25 for the full set(what I expected) and $20 for the pedicure. I politely explained to her that I received a regular pedicure not a spa pedicure, and I said "the price listed for a pedicure says $14 so why are you charging me $20 for a spa pedi when I didn't get the works?" And she basically just kept repeating herself in Chinese so I couldn't understand so I was forced to pay the $45. I give her 60 and she keeps the change so I ask for my change back because my entire experience was only 45 minutes long and she immediately starts arguing with me and sighing. She did the quickest polish job I have ever received and then got up and walked away without saying goodbye/thank you or anything. I have gone to Nancy for about 8-10 years and I find that she does an excellent pedicure and manicure. Her prices are so reasonable and she is so pleasant!! WORST customer service ever- and the person who owns and runs it is the woman who gave me such horrible service. I was pregnant at the time and didn't need a pedicure just a color change she told me on the phone it would be $5 so thats all I brought- she wouldn't give me the disposible flip flops unless I paid more and I was wearing tennis shoes- she told me to walk outside bare foot- it was raining and who knows what I would step on. She made me sit on a chair with my foot on a rolling cart instead of the nice pedicure chairs and kept getting frustrated that I kept moving- I was pregnant and it was very uncomfortable position. On my way home yesterday evening I stopped at Nancy's Nails to get a pedicure. When I got to the door, I noticed it was locked, yet a petite woman came to the door, unlocked it, and after asking of she was open, she confirmed and let me in. There were two pedicure chairs, and she gestured me to get into one of them. She never turned on the jets though and I was too tired to ask her why not. The pedicure she gave me was alright, the foot massage was short, and the polish application was fine. Here is the reason why I am giving her only one star - when she ran my bank card and presented me with the bill, she had run it for $20.00, yet her price board that was up on the wall clearly showed $14.00 as the charge for a pedicure. When I asked her why she was charging me $20 instead of $ 14, she explained that since I used the pedi chair instead of the bowl on the floor, it cost me $20 and that she had explained that to me prior to the pedi. No, she didn't. Not one word about. I paid it and left (added even a $2.00 tip). I would have made her my neighborhood nail place to go to as I had recently moved to the area, but her under handed dishonesty in order to make a few extra bucks is unacceptable!
