Great coffee. Carrot cake was super good. The lemon bar thing was fire!! So good. I really enjoyed my breakfast, nice salty bacon.

This locals only joint is pretty bomb it's hidden but their breakfast sausage rolls are dank

Yummy!! This place is great. We had the sausage pocket, Marion Berry scone, and lattes. The pocket was full of flavor, the scone was crispy on the outside with lots of berries, and the lattes were perfect. They have a nice patio that is dog friendly. The staff was friendly and helpful. I love it here. The chocolate peanut butter bar is my absolute favorite treat. The sandwiches are made with there fresh focaccia bread made daily. The portion is enough to completely fill you up. The hot soup on a cold day warms you right up. The art on the walls by local artists adds to the charm of this wonderful place. If I could give 10 stars I would. read more

Oh my goodness! I stopped here for a treat and was not disappointed! I had a Marionberry scone, probably the best scone I have had in 15 years. The chocolate croissant was amazing as well. Recommend to us by a friend, this darling bakery cafe coffee house was all that and then some. Sharing a bowl of wonderful, potato broccoli cheddar soup (flavorful and not too thick) and sharing some of their homemade, baked in-house pastries (apple cinnamon scone and plain cinnamon roll), and sipping a couple coffee drinks (hazelnut mocha and cardamom vanilla latte), was the perfect brunch for 2, and came to $19.75. Had a welcoming vibe that we have not experienced a lot of around Bend, and the barista brought our coffees to our table. Highly recommend place for breakfast or lunch! read more

We ordered a breakfast pocket and 4 different sandwiches. None of them were good or finished. What's up with the bread here? It made the sandwich so dry and unbearable to eat. We were expecting a lot more for being a "bakery". Not much variety in the display case and as other reviews stated- lots of food is heated up in the microwave just behind the display counter. read more

Came in for the first time with my friends and the employees were very rude and rushed us when there was no one there. Their sandwiches are really bad. They put huge chunks of cheese in them and to much lettuce making it really hard to eat. read more

My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice place to get breakfast while visiting bend, after searching for what felt like an eternity we found Nancy P's and I am so glad we did. Their breakfast pockets are absolutely delicious and filling! Breakfast croissants are to die for, and the black and white cookies were such a treat to have! Our vacation rental house was just a couple blocks away from this place so of course we had to try it out. We just got some coffee here. I got their iced mocha. They don't have blended drinks here but the woman at the counter told us that the coffee shop across the street had blended drinks so that was nice of her to give us that tip. My Mom and Brother got their chai and my friend just got an iced black coffee. Our drinks didn't take too long. My mocha was delicious, chocolatey and creamy. You could even see bits of chocolate swirling around in my drink. They have really good mochas here. Everyone else enjoyed their drinks too. Next time we have to try the pastries here and I want to try their Mexican mocha. read more

This is a "locals" favorite and so could be easy to miss if you aren't in the know...but I think you should be in the know. :) The baked goods are amazing, the menu has lots of fresh and healthy options, not just the baked goods and treats. July 2010 and we revise our original review to lower the rating from four stars to three. Three stars is still AOK and Nancy P's is that. A good little local bakery / cafe run and staffed by very nice people. But based on a couple of more visits, it is not in our experience and humble opinions a four star place for product, in particular when held up to review against the bakery / cafe competition, like Sparrow Bakery (and their bread offshoot Bread LaVoy) or Village Baker or even the "new kid" storefront bakery (but not cafe) Baked. Certainly better than bakery items at a grocery bakery shop for example, but not four stars. And the sandwiches can be so disappointing sometimes that you really CAN do better with fresh made sandwiches at a grocery deli, if it's a good one like the one at Newport Avenue Market. That's the bottom line. Read on if you want details of how we got to the rating. Seems only right to provide the grounding for our outcome given we are not as much fans as others posting here. AMBIANCE: Cozy and friendly. Nice high ceiling, old craftsman style space with few wooden tables and chairs inside and a few iron tables outside on a patio that has the added benefit of lovely flowering vines in summer. Seems very busy in the morning and can be busy at lunch, but after lunch hour, it can be dellightfuly mellow with just a handful of people in afternoons. (In particular Sunday between about 1:00 and 3:00 (closing). Ambiance and location are assets for Nancy P's. SERVICE: Service is by order at the counter. Friendly people work here. The staff is always helpful in making recommendations when you're "stumped". FOOD & BEVERAGES: In addition to bakery items that include but are not limited to coffee cakes, croissant, cinammon rolls, cupcakes, brownies, cookies and layer cakes, Nancy P's also bakes bread...duh...from which they make sandwiches. Those run the gamut from cold sandwiches like Chicken Chipotle, BLT, Curried Tuna, Hummus and Black Forest Ham (to name just a few) at about $7 each to grilled sandwiches, like the Bacon, Tomato and Cheese for about $8. The sandwiches are big and easily shareable. (Can't imagine eating a whole sandwich. In particular if you're planning on dessert too). About half a dozen different salads are also available daily, as well as a soup. Pizza (which we have not tried) is Fridays only. The quiche at breakfast are very good. A downside is the sandwiches can be hit and miss. Our "ding" is that they are premade (or at least on our visits that as the only alternative) and not prepared fresh. Some fare better than others in that arrangement. As example a grilled B,T,C (baon, tomato, chesse) sandwich we had recently was great...although since it was made ahead we did not have the option of asking to have the the mayo off before so we scraped it off after grilling. Part of what made this sandwich good was the sourdough bread, just chewy enough and just sour enough. But cold sandwiches, like the tuna, have had the outcome of soggy bread, wilted lettuce and too little seasoning. We've had the same hit and miss experience with the baked goods. Some desserts, like brownies, can be very good, but the pastries seem to just miss the mark. Which may be unfair, but comparing them to Village Baker or Sparrow, pastries are just not the same kind of top end execution. ACCESSIBILITY: For those who need accessible parking, you'll find it as well as a level in entry at Nancy P's at the front of the building, the same side where the outdoor patio is. Once inside, everything is on one level with easy path of travel to tables and bathrooms that are marked with accessibility symbols. More yahoo that this kind of access is seamlessly done to include everyone equally. Good job. UNEXPECTED: Nancy P's offers a few gluten free bakery items. Since we have gluten intolerant members of the family, that is a lovely surprise at a bakery! A TIP: Nancy P's takes cash and checks but no "plastic" for payment. read more

I love Nancy P's. They have incredible baked goods and amazing sandwiches. For the most part, they have a friendly staff who seem happy to be there and who love to serve the customers. Which brings me to the point of this review. The owner, or at least the woman who acts like the owner, has a terrible attitude and I always get the sense that helping customers is an inconvenience at best and more often a nuisance. I have actually feigned indecision when it's my turn in line so that she will help the next person and I can be served by one of the friendlier staff members. I have even decided to go elsewhere on days where I didn't feel like being nastily treated. It's too bad. I love everything about the place, yet I hesitate going into Nancy P's because of an owner who seems to have forgotten the art of how to treat customers. read more

Really looking forward to lunch at Nancy P's today. Having company and looking forward to purchasing baked goods, i.e., breads and pies. The staff is rude and distracted. The selection of sandwiches was limited and only one soup offered. There were three people in our group. No one was satisfied with their food, and most of it was left behind. I was taken aback by the rudeness of their staff. I didn't even purchase baked goods. Will never eat there again. read more

Seriously THE BEST PIES we've ever eaten! When we visit Bend, I pre-order a pie or two to be ready for pick up when we arrive in town. I always get the crumb topping. I'm craving one now just by writing this review :) Do yourself a favor and pick up a pie with crumb topping from Nancy P's Cafe and Bakery. You won't regret it! This is hands-down the best bakery in Bend (okay, of the ones that I have been to). The food is incredible! I have never had such a difficult time making a decision on what to eat. The bread topped with egg, cheese, and other goodies is AWESOME. I don't even know what you call those, but I'd love to be able to eat that every morning... alas, I would weight 400lbs. The coffee is good, but nothing really to write home about. The muffins are to die for, and the quiche rocks. Okay, this is getting redundant - everything food-wise is awesome. There's also great people watching, and the location is a little tucked away, but pretty easy to find. If you have not been to this place, the time is NOW. Get over there... Really. Go. read more

Sweet shit I love this place! It's hard not to drop a hundo here every time I visit home! The blueberry scones are so good that I've contemplated writing a memoir based solely around emotions I get while eating that god damn pastry! Don't get me started on the breakfast pockets cause I don't have all damn day to explain how exquisite they are...a marriage of breakfast and dessert at its finest! Pulled in this morning to grab a bagel to go which we have always loved at Nancy P's. The 'parking lot' in back is tiny but seemed like it was okay to park especially since no one was there. One of the staff (or owner?) pokes her head out the service window and says something like 'Hey you can't park there it's blocking the handicap spot' at which point I noticed the very faded painted handicap spot on the left of the lot. We immediately realized our mistake and said no problem we will move. The person in the window just scowled at us turned away very rudely. We just left. I have no patience for rude/bad customer service - too many other places that have great food and service to spend my hard earned dollars. read more

My friends and I stopped here for lunch after doing some shopping; it was about 30 minutes before closing time, but the staff didn't rush us. Our sandwiches were wonderful, and the salads fresh and appetizing. We'd never eaten here before, and it was a pleasant place to eat. I had the half chicken salad sandwich and a salad and would readily order it again. My friends were equally as pleased with their choices as well. The decor is really great, and so is the staff. We were told to go to the Sparrow bakery while visiting and so I did--but for some reason they were closed. So I needed to find a bakery--I couldn't come back empty handed so I foundNancy P's online and thought it looked good and it was close. First appearance--you walk in to a large display case full of amazing looking food! Then I looked around and saw awesome stained glass displays in the windows and very friendly employees. So I wanted to order one of everything but decided against it and went with the bacon,egg and cheese bakes (sandwiches), almond croissants and a marrionberry scone. Those sandwiches were amazing---the croissant were just as amazing! It was all so good that we we t back the next day! I highly recommend this place! read more

We tried a cobbler and a pie, which were both tasty and had great textures. We'd definitely return for those. We also ordered four cup cakes and a macaroon (coconut dipped in chocolate). They were beautiful and moist. The buttercream frosting was yum. But the cupcakes weren't exceptional. I'd get them if I were nearby, but not go out of my way for. A couple of them also had hard, round, edible sprinkles that were pretty to look at, but unpleasant to bite into -- sort of like biting a pellet from a BB gun. They spoiled the experience of biting into a cupcake. The cupcakes also were too sweet. I ended up (at home), having them with unsweetened tea and strawberries, to counter that. That made the cupcakes much more enjoyable. I wouldn't have them again without something to counter all that sugar, which was overwhelming. read more
