    Plain bagel

These are not bagels. They are some kind of roll. They are more like bread than anything. Soft. Not dense or chewy. Lacks the firm skin from boiling (they must be baked). The service is slow so the line can be long even on a random weekday during what should be a slow time. Many flavors offered. Staff is friendly. The pumpernickel is chocolate not rye.

I was visiting Bend for a few days and this spot was recommended to me by some locals as "the best bagels even for people who don't love bagels". I'm so glad I stopped by! The menu was amazing, sourcing quality and fresh ingredients. I appreciate the gluten free options too. I ordered the seasonal Haven Fog iced latte and the classic bacon and egg breakfast sandwich on a jalapeño and cheese bagel. I also ordered the Chia pudding, but never got around to trying it... I was going to take it on the plane back home with me but it was by TSA. The ice latte was so dangerous (it was that good)! I found it to be a tad sweet, as I'm usually a less sugar/no sugar drink order... So in the future I would make modifications. That said, I had no self-control and gulped the drink down in about four minutes! The bagel was also delicious! It was really hearty and filling. I could definitely split this into two or three servings. If I'm back in the area, I would love to try the rest of their menu. I could see this being a "regular" spot on trips. The staff are also very friendly and helpful at the counter. There's nice outdoor seating and inside is open bright but limited seating.

The people working there are SO NICE. We bonded a whole lot before I excitedly told them I was there for a birthday bagel sandwich and I am gluten-free.... And they were out of GF bagels. BUT they gave me a free bday coffee cake slice which was so nice of them. They informed me that if I really want a gf bagel I've got to get there before 10 because they don't always sell out but it does happen. The coffee cake was pretty dried out probably from sitting cut into slices in a display case. I still appreciated the gesture and I will be back!

Absolutely incredible bagels! All their bagels are incredibly delicious and I can't recommend them enough. Both their sandwiches and just normal bagels are great. Very generous portions and super fresh always. Service is quick even when they are busy and the staff is quite friendly. Location wise in a great spot out on the east side of Bend which is a bit quieter than downtown or wherever else you might go to get a bagel. There are a good amount of seating options with both inside and outside options. Would absolutely recommend Haven if you're looking for a great bagel, good coffee and a great location!

Incredible bagels! Extremely high quality for a good price. Couldn't get a fresher or fluffier bagel anywhere. I enjoy the everything bagel- the everything is inside the bagel, so it's not messy. The coffee is strong & hot. Service was prompt & the cashiers were nice. They had a good amount of people on staff to keep it moving. I enjoyed the clean interior & modern design. Parking lot parking available outside

The bagels are superb, handmade, and affordable. You can get a bagel that is HUGE for $3.25 or if you want a massive helping of cream cheese, $4.00. There is lots of variety too, plain, cheese, blueberry, cranberry orange, sesame, etc, and they change it up a fair amount. All of these bagels are made with a special, secret ingredient which is love. The ambiance is good and the service is quick and simple. Go out of your way to stop by and experience The Bagel Awakening. They also have gluten free options!

Softest bagel in Bend!!!! Literally so delicious, I am excited to return and try more of their bagels! Coffee was decent as well. I went around 10am on a Sunday and there was only a short line, but as we were enjoying our bagels, quite a long line started to form. Would love a little more character in the decor inside but otherwise it was a nice place to grab some breakfast.

It's very conveniently located within walking distance to the rest of downtown Bend. It can get pretty packed, and seating isn't always guaranteed, but if you have time to hang around, the atmosphere is well worth experiencing. There's a bar-style seating area where locals seemed genuinely settled in, giving the shop a true neighborhood feel. I ordered a large Belgian Mocha, which was rich in flavor while not being overly sweet. The espresso was definitely still there, so the drink was beyond just a dessert vibe. Service was friendly and efficient, with my drink ready in just a few minutes despite the crowd. Overall, this is a lively downtown coffee spot best suited for those who want quality drinks and don't mind a local crowd.

Additionally, our barista gave us a coupon for a free 12oz drink because it took more than five minutes for us to get the breakfast sandwich, it didn't seem like a long time to me but that is just good service. The music was tasteful and not too loud which helped cultivate the calm and pleasant ambiance. The pastries were delightful, so good in fact that I was unable to get a photo due to my inability to delay taking a bite as soon as we sat down. We had the ham and gruyère croissant and the plain croissant. The breakfast sandwich was great; the homemade English muffins were dense but not heavy, the bacon was perfectly thick and crispy, the egg was well done, and the pesto mayo tied it all together. The Latte was solid, I regret not trying the syrups which I found out were homemade after I had ordered, it seemed as though everyone who ordered after me got the cardamom syrup in their drinks. My girlfriend got the hemp milk latte, unsweetened. She is a matcha snob and was pleased with her order, which is a rarity for coffee forward places such as Thump. Stop at Thump if you're in Bend.

The vibe here is modern and minimal -- clean lines, local art on the walls, airy space that feels both calm and alive. I ordered a 16 oz matcha latte and a honey-lavender latte (because why pick just one?). Total came out to about $12.25 each for the largest size. Yep, a little pricier than your corner coffee spot, but honestly worth it. Both drinks were smooth and balanced -- the matcha was creamy, not bitter at all, while the lavender latte had that perfect floral hint without overpowering the coffee. Bonus: the latte art heart on top was simple but done with care, which tells you a lot about the barista. And speaking of service -- the barista was the highlight. Friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to suggest a roast I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. That level of confidence and genuine warmth elevates the entire experience. Now, a small caveat: there's no restroom inside. They'll give you a code for the one just behind the wall -- super clean and convenient once you know, but still something to keep in mind if you're planning to hang out. Overall? 5 stars, easy. Pricey, sure, but you're paying for quality, atmosphere, and people who care. If I could give 6 stars for service, I would. I'll be back for sure.
