Not only was the car not spotless upon renting but I think "returned in the same condition" refers to damages to the vehicle not cleanliness. Of course a vehicle is going to be dirty after an 800 mile trip. Also they charged us $45.00 for 5 gallons of gas. The tank was full but I guess to Steve that wasn't good enough. Stay away from Hertz and especially this one. If you must rent here be ready for problems upon return. Steve needs to lighten up and not be so by the book. He's a problem. I had a long drive to get here and really appreciated that they let me check in when I showed up about an hour and a half before Check In Time. I understand that's not always possible. But they made it happen. I love the Free Parking. Places that nickel and dime you with charging for parking piss me off. Quality Inn Petaluma - Sonoma don't play like that. And the rooms here? They're clean. And the beds? Comfortable! OK, the pillows leave a lot to be desired, but I knew that was the case and brought my own pillow from home. Now you know too. The TV is small, but serviceable. The internet is free. There's an outdoor swimming pool (open seasonally) and a jacuzzi (open year-round). One of the things I love most about this property is that the rooms have a good-sized Mini Fridge and also a small Microwave. Apparently for comic effect the rooms also have a little black plastic coffee maker that looks like it was purchased for $5 at a WalMart Black Friday sale in 2006. I mean, who in the world is still using hotel room coffee makers to make coffee in their rooms? Ew! Especially when there's free coffee and breakfast in the morning in the breakfast nook next to the Check in Desk. The breakfast was evidently way more appealing to other guests than it was to me. Nevertheless, I genuinely appreciated it, even if I thought the selections and the quality were just kind of OK. I stayed in building 6, the rooms are enclosed with a locked door to the building and found the hallway to be a little stuffy. The room was spacious, it was dark when I checked in, but my room had more than enough lamps and lights that brightened up the place. I found the carpet to be quite grungy though, I slept comfortably surprisingly. They provided enough towels, the bathroom was clean, plenty of hot water and found the fan was a bit loud. Again, this place kept me safe, was able to get great rest and I was able to request a late check out at 1 pm with no issues. Front desk lady was very pleasant. The complementary breakfast was wonderful - blueberry muffins, scrambled eggs, fresh waffles, bananas, cereal, coffee. Oh and plenty of parking even with late night check in. Thank you.

Renting an RV from them was one of the most horrendous, appalling, and borderline dangerous experiences I've ever had with any company, let alone one that's supposed to provide reliable transportation and basic human sanitation. Where do I even begin?Let's start with the propane meter, which was completely inaccurate. It read full when it was not, which we only discovered the hard way. Then came the sewage tank indicator, which also falsely claimed the tank was empty -- it wasn't. Guess what? That surprise hits different when your black tank is full and you're not prepared. Disgusting doesn't even begin to cover it. The sewage hose itself was a disaster -- it literally wouldn't even fully connect. It looked like someone had DIY'd a fix with duct tape and forgotten about it. This led to spills and a very real health hazard that should never be present on a commercial rental. Moving inside, the fridge was absolutely vile. Sticky, smelly, and clearly never cleaned. I've seen gas station bathrooms cleaner than this. The water system? Overflowed while claiming to be empty. The gray water flooded into parts of the RV -- absolutely revolting. Again, the sensors were giving totally false readings. Oh, and the entire RV was filthy on pickup. Dust, grime, someone else's old food crumbs -- Cruise America clearly does not clean or inspect their vehicles properly before renting them out. It took someone with RV experience to manually re-circuit parts of the system just so we could function. For a nationwide company, their logistics are shamefully amateur. We rented this unit to support a medical setup at a festival, meaning we were depending on a functioning, habitable RV for essential services. What we got was closer to a rolling biohazard. If we hadn't had a friend on-site who knew how to troubleshoot failing RV systems, we would've been stranded in the middle of nowhere with a lemon on wheels and zero support from the company. This isn't just disappointing -- it's negligent and unacceptable. Cruise America claims its RVs are "ready to go," "fully cleaned," and "road-trip worthy." That is a blatant lie.
