Waiting years to finally see if Nando's is worth the hype I can truly say that the taste is amazing but wings that small should not be sold at the price point this restaurant demands. First time over at Nando's FINALLY and my server was extremely kind and informative when going over their menu, service style, sauces etc. I got the two 1/4 chicken legs plate with 2 sides (mash and mac n cheese) and a side of halloumi cheese because I've never had that before, and it came out relatively quickly while I got the water, napkins, and all the sauces I wanted to try. Gotta say, love the chicken. It's nice and tender with good seasoning on it and a great char flavor on the chicken itself. It also goes great with any of the sauces that you choose and it's great that you can choose which heat and flavor you want. The mashed potatoes were solidly good, and the mac n cheese had good flavor, albeit a bit too watery. The halloumi is super squeaky haha, glad I got to try it. The food was super tasty and freshly made and they even gave me a little coupon for the next time I'm around there which was really sweet. The ambience of the place is really cool too, really open space and they had these cool hatchet chairs near the front that are super interesting to sit in, so I obviously had to haha. There was also something else that was light and crunchy. Perhaps lettuce AND cucumbers? If you're catering any size party they had all the wraps cut in half and packed into a manageable size box. Sadly, my first taste of Nando's was in London. That said, I didn't expect to see such a dramatic difference in the food flavor and the price point between here and the UK. I've tried most of their sides before, and you can't go wrong. Whether you choose macho peas, roasted vegetables, the chips (fries), or something else, they are all delicious. I love coming to this place. Their grilled whole chicken with mango sauce and side order of rice or fries are amazing! All of their sauces are extremely flavorful. I was sooo lucky to be included in the Yelp Elite Experience at Nando's Chicagoland. I went to the 670 W. Diversey Parkway location in Chicago. Thank you Kate M. and Nando's for my delicious meal yesterday. I also received a black Nando's carrying bag and a bottle of Nando's Peri-Peri sauce in Coconut & Lemon with medium heat. I was able to try their new Pulled Chicken, Feta & Avocado Bowl along with a soft drink. the bowl consists of: chilled Peri-Peri pulled chicken served over Portuguese rice with feta cheese, avocado, and semi-dried tomatoes. The bowl has generous portions of Portuguese rice (delicious, by the way) and pulled chicken, the avocado and the semi-dried tomatoes (I really liked the tomatoes too) complimented the rice and chicken. The bowl was well balanced, and the flavours combined to make a delicious meal that I could not complete in one sitting. It truly is a complete meal in a bowl! My only disappointment was that the rice was also served cold, I prefer my rice to be warm. The employees were friendly and, all were wearing masks. I really liked the way this location is decorated with colorful paintings and Nando's slogans on the walls. There are lots of tables and booths for seating and I had to sit in one of the swinging chairs that are at the tables in front of the window. It was fun! The floor however, was very greasy and slippery.  Needs to be cleaned better. I normally get the Nando's Peri-Peri 1/4 chicken, but I liked my bowl so much that I think that one of Nando's Peri-Peri bowls will be my go to meal to order from now on! read more

Manor's Peri-Peri was absolutely amazing! I ordered the Peri chicken rainbow bowl with spice level Peri-O! This meal was so filling yet light and so full of flavor. I can't wait to try it again. The Mac and cheese isn't their strong area. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The window swings were a nice touch and the bamboo style bar stools were actually comfortable. My beverage of choice was a very tasty blood orange and mango lemonade. The spacious eatery is decorated adorably which certainly lent to the chill vibe. They have a slew of spices on hand, and they even have bottles for purchase, should you unearth a new fave. Alcoholic beverages are available for those who wish to add that to their meal. Fabulous service and spacious environment! Very chill spot to get a satiating meal. Typically we get a half or quarter chicken with various sides, but wanted to try out their new bowls. Bowls: the rice has tons of flavor and pairs nicely with the chicken. They have sauces you can select in addition, which helps incorporate more layers. There's not too many other vegetables (corn, peppers, arugula) as the star is the chicken. Would recommend you get a half or quarter chicken next time instead of the bowl. Had a nice Yelp event here and received a 1/4 chicken meal to go along with a bottle of sauce and a swag bag! Overall, the meal was good but not great. I went with the 1/4 breast which was a generous portion. The meat was fairly tender and had a nice grilled taste. I didn't love the sauce (I went with medium) but had a small cup of the medium with garlic that I found to be tastier. My chicken came with a side so I selected the cauliflower but they were out so I went with the fries. They looked and smelled good but were cold and a bit soggy (likely in part due to me taking it to go) so I didn't end up eating them. I'm sure it would have been better dining in. Nando's has been a favorite of mine since I was a child. Really love their sauces. Personally a bit of a pepperhead to went for Hot and honestly wish I chose the xxxx hot option. Overall great location, solid i ambiance. Service was cordial and quick. It was spacious location that had a bunch of cool spots to sit ie swinging chairs etc. Got the 1/4 chicken leg through yelp (thank you yelp & nandos!) and thought it was e delicious. Juicy chicken that had a good char and the hot sauce complimented the meal. I ventured out and tried the herb, garlic, xx hot and the xxxhot. The xxxhot was hands down my favorite. I was first introduced to Nando's when I lived in England. I was so excited to try their menu since they are not too far away from my house. I came around noon and there were of a few diners eating. The lady at the bar was really nice and took my order. I had the boneless chicken with mango lime sauce, red skin mashed potatoes, and pineapple lemonade. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce had a slight kick, which was lovely. The mashed potatoes was velvety smooth and was a good compliment to the chicken. The pineapple lemonade was refreshing and sweet. Overall, I really enjoyed eating here. I ordered a chicken sandwich and wings for dinner and I had to double check to make sure I didn't order from the kids menu because everything was TINY. Now I'm not a size queen, but I had to measure the wings because they were so small I just had to know how big they were, and they ended up being 2" or less...which is crazy for a wing! I've never seen wings anywhere near this small. The chicken breast on the sandwich was also tiny so I had to take the bun off to make sure they didn't forget the chicken as I didn't see it! It paired nicely with the chicken. - Feta, Avo & Crispy Chickpeas salad with PERi-PERi Chicken ($11.28): This has romaine and mixed greens tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette. It's topped with feta, avocado, red peppers, cucumber, red onions and house-made fried chickpeas. The vinaigrette makes it light with a hint of tartness. It balanced the chicken well. The chicken in the 1/2 Chicken dish was a bit more tender and juicy though. DESSERT - Naughty Natas ($2.49): This is traditional Portuguese custard tart that is served warm with a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar. It's amazing and tastes very similar to Chinese dim sum egg tarts. I see Nando's all over the city and I finally got a chance to try it! I was very impressed with the flavor profiles -- it was different than any other flavor I've tried recently. I really liked that the chicken tasted fresh, high quality, and was juicy. The peach bowls are new to the menu and very big portions! After living by this location and passing by for the past 2 years, I finally decided to stop by. Came with two friends and decided to share the full chicken platter. We got half mango and lime and the other half mild, for the sides we got the mashed potatoes and the rice, which were recommendations from a friend who loves this place. Open concept everything. Rattan high chairs are cool. I like the whole self serve concept too. Bark your order at the counter, you pay, they hand you a number and then your food comes right out to your table. I ordered the half chicken,,, comes in as the white meat quarter and a dark meat quarter. Rice and peas for my sides. The chicken was really out of this world. Very tender and juicy. The Peri-peri marinade really comes out and makes the whole dish. They also have sauces on the side, so if you're fancying a spicier kick. Do pour some of that extra spicy sauce on your chicken. I totally can't stop thinking about the chicken here. And I'm not a big chicken fan, but this place is definitely worth going to if you're craving grilled chicken. It was so freaking good! The chicken was seasoned just right and you get to pick the type of sauce you want. The mango lime paired with the garlic sauce was off the chain. Finger lickin good, just like the colonel would say. The rice was also great and so tasty, along with the grilled corn on the cob. We also had some fries - again, wonderfully tasty. Visited this Nando's location for a Yelp Elite event and it did not disappoint! The restaurant was very clean and had ample COVID signage. The workers were very friendly and excited that I was there. I tried their new Peri Peri Chicken Bowl and it was delicious -- the chicken was juicy and flavorful. You can choose your spice level on the chicken which always makes for a better experience.
