I had it topped with two over medium eggs which were perfectly cooked. As I was eyeing the French toast, he gave me a single piece which included their fruit infused whipped cream and was really, really good! That might be my entree next time. My friend got the crepes and her face was doing happy expressions while she was eating. My new best friend Maria kept my coffee mug full-she visited the table frequently to make sure my mug never got low nor cold. She also took care to clean the table promptly as plates were finished. Now if my kids could learn that... oh wait, this is a diner review. The ambiance is cute and chic. There was easy access to accommodate wheel chairs and they have their menu clearly marked for gluten free available and vegan options (most of the menu). The menu is on the fancier side; they will prepare whatever someone wants (e.g. if someone just wants 2 eggs and bacon, they can easily do that). The location is on Main St. so parking is hit or miss. If you are nearby and want something good, this is a good option!

This is our fourth or fifth time visiting Nan's and I decided to join Yelp just to review this awesome breakfast place. The service is so friendly and helpful. We are always greeted warmly. This morning our server even took the time to point out to us that the there are new "activity bags" hanging on each booth for our two girls (ages 2 and 5) to play with while they waited for food. How awesome! The girls had a blast with the crayons, coloring books, legos, and hangman game. The service is always efficient...there was coffee on the table even before I had my coat off. The menu choices are pretty basic for breakfast, but everything we've had there is so good. This morning I had the Western omelette with peppers, onions, ham and cheese; raisin toast and homefries rounded out the meal. Delicious and filling! The girls' ordered chocolate chip Mickey pancakes...they were huge! They should have shared one, really, but now can have leftovers for dinner. My husband enjoyed an egg-white veggie omelette with a side of wheat toast and homefries. There are many different types of pancakes and they usually have a couple of "breakfast specials" that the server will let you know about. Overall, Nan's is our "go-to" spot for breakfast out...especially when we have the kids with us. read more

Get in early! Great food, and down home hospitality. Nan is always making sure things are running smoothly, and her customers are happy. The food is fantastic- fresh and well prepared in spite of the dizzy pace of the orders coming out on a busy Saturday or Sunday morning. The Florentine Eggs Benedict are blissful! I recently visited Nan's Café and was not impressed with the service. Our server seemed unfamiliar with the ingredients in several menu items, which was concerning given our food allergies. They were also quite pushy, rushing us to place our order, which made the experience feel unwelcoming. Unfortunately, this lack of attentiveness left us disappointed. read more

Their coffee and espresso is made with Lavazza beans, which I love, and even though I wasn't sure if I wanted breakfast or lunch, I got a coffee. Mmmm. Cream was served in a small pitcher/creamer with my coffee. I was offered refills on coffee multiple times during our visit. I also asked if they have maple syrup or just pancake syrup. They have the real deal, just ask. Pancake syrup, s&p, sweeteners and ketchup are on the table. I ordered a Greek Salad and added tuna salad on top for a bit more protien. The salad came with warm, fluffy pita bread and dressing on the side. This salad is quite big. Definitely enough to share and everything was very fresh. My travel buddy got the ultimate grilled cheese which is a big sandwich. Bacon, tomato and lots of cheeses on sour dough. The onion rings are an upcharge (says that on the menu) and from the taste, I wonder if they use a sweet onion like Walla Walla. The tempura batter by itself is not sweet, so it must be the type of onion they use. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive checking in on us throughout our visit. She chatted with several customers as if everyone is a 'regular'. Every staff member we encountered was smiling and friendly. Restrooms are located in a hallway, behind a clearly marked door, off the dining room. They are updated and very clean. Located in a strip mall style building they share parking with the other businesses in front and back of the building. I honestly did not notice if a handicapped spot was near the entrance, but there is at least one in the lot. At less than twenty dollars per person, this was an all together, very good lunch stop.

I opted for their eggplant parmesan sandwich. It comes served on an italian roll and is cheesy deliciousness. It was the perfect amount of sauce to add flavor without being too saucy and messy. It's easily eaten like a sandwich (ie: no need to bust out a fork and knife) and was just overall tasty. I got sweet potato fries on the side which were equally tasty. Our server was beyond friendly and just pitch perfect throughout our experience. The prices are reasonable, the inside is cute as a button (they currently have a beautifully decorated and twinkle lit Thanksgiving tree), and it's a women-owned-business--what's not to love? Get to it!

Ya know, I once navigated to this place on accident before? Yeah. Still not sure what my GPS was…read moredoing that day. Because I normally go to the one in Salem. But on this day, I thought to myself, "Self, I really hate making that busy-as-hell left turn on South Broadway in Salem. What if we took a journey to the Andover location instead?" And so it was. I enter this cozy little restaurant carefully tucked against a slightly submerged parking garage. Although, I probably shouldn't say "little" because the interior was noticeably larger than its Salem counterpart. It's also noisy AF in there when it gets busier than a New York subway. So naturally, I ordered my usual to-go (a Country Classic with an extra egg and hashbrowns for those who don't know). Only it wasn't *quite* ready on time. Which, to be fair, is kind of a minor point. Thing is, they have to shout your name whenever your order is finally ready. This in and of itself can prove to be quite the challenge when bellowing atop the already roaring crowd of customers impeding the otherwise accessible pickup shelves. I'll do my best to describe the interior since I wasn't really able to take pictures. But try to imagine an L-shaped dining area with the longest part hosting a row of countertop seats facing the windows. Beyond that sits a rather modest dining area with a few more tables. Next to that sits the gender neutral restrooms. It's strange and cramp, particularly when the place is packed tighter than a sardine can. Sufficed to say, I'm not much a fan of the interior design here. Being the partial recluse that I am, I offer the following best practice for a place so riotous: mobile order that shiz, cuh! Seriously. I had to put in my noise cancelling earbuds to appease my misophonia. The good news is....the food is still awesome. The eggs? Creamier than crème fraîche. Taters? Eh, I don't why...but these seemed way more seasoned the very first time I tried them. Fortunately, they actually pair rather well with their refined version of ketchup. The bacon? Well...let's just say I wish it were served well done. Not sure if I'm able to request that. But I'll scope out my options next time and get back to you all. That's it though. Nice place, WAY easier to get to than its Salem counterpart, but a bit too cramp and noisy for my taste which means....I'll likely ever dine in here. It's all good though, because I'm still giving Crack'd Kitchen & Coffee in Andover 4 Country Classics with all the fixins out of 5.
