    Chicken Parm Sub
    Ronnie E.

The chicken parm sub is a culinary masterpiece. Best I've had. The sauce, cheese, chicken, bread ratio is perfect. These people clearly know what they're doing. My parents moved nearby 2 years ago and I come all the time. I've had half the menu. Never had a bad sandwich.

    Cheese pizza.

Cheese pizza. This is a 6.2. The dough is somewhere between Greek (although not cooked in a pan) and chucky cheese. Not worth the trip or price for a 14 inch pie. Pass on this one or stick to their steak and cheese. Be aware the grill guy and no mask on. 8/4/2020.

Buffalo Mozzarella sticks with blue cheese

I love this place because it's such a "local" business. Everything is safely set up for no contact pick up, and their menu is overwhelming. I ordered the buffalo mozzarella sticks and was not disappointed

Friendly people and quick customer service, but the food was just not that impressive. I order a sub with a cheese pizza (which seemed like it was sitting out all day) and I was disappointed with both of them. OH! I was craving a pastrami sandwich which was displayed on their menu board and when I ordered it, the guy said we don't have it today. ERASE what you don't have on the menu! I probably wont be coming back to this place to eat. Thanks though, I've had better.

This is my all time favorite pizza! Thin crust rectangular pepperoni cuts that curl, perfect cheese blend and awesome sauce.

PIzza was quite good. Veggie Bomb was mediocre at best, but is about the only thing to eat on the menu (besides Pizza) that is vegetarian.

I usually get an American or Italian sub and they tend to be excellent, well-stuffed with the good meats, and on nice firm sub rolls. A reviewer claimed the rolls are old but I've never once gotten a stale one. It's possible the reviewer confused good crunchy Italian rolls with day-old rolls. As a connoisseur of good Italian bread, I look for rolls that are crunchy outside and firm inside and DiCara's are exactly that. They have a friendly staff who make the subs very quickly and never make a mistake on the order. The store has a lot of other food, for example, olive salads and tuna salad which my Mom liked. Also sometimes, you can find various cuttings left over from when the salami sticks near their end sealed up in plastic. Yum! They also have a number of imported products (not all from Italy). I like their imported pastas such as the big Rigatoni and Fusilli. They have some spices too--I always get the Rosemary from Cento. Oddly, they also have an excellent variety of potato chip brands--Utz, Cape Cod, Wachusett, Zapp's, Dirty, and sometimes Wise. Finally, they carry some nice cupcakes & desserts from nearby bakeries.

I arrived at 11:55 and the sub was waiting. When I got it home, I was so disappointed. The bread was very hard, to the point of being hard to chew. Also, the turkey was overcooked with very dry and almost burnt ends and the stuffing was extremely salty. I had asked for a small container of extra gravy and even adding this to the sub did not help at all. The sub was very hard to chew because of the roll and dry turkey. Luckily, I know they serve a quality product and I will return again. Everyone can have a bad day, and I guess this was theirs.

So I had a second lunch (two slices from a whole pie that I'll finish another day). -- Pepperoni Pizza: I've come to expect high-quality and that's what I got. Lightly charred crust with a fairly firm base, neither done to an extreme. Unexpected was a bit of sourness to the cheese, which was actually a plus, adding complexity. Robust tomato sauce is there in greater supply than most, and I like that. Pepperoni isn't as thick as Tree House, but it's noticeably thicker than most, and much more flavorful. If there's a weakness to this pizza, it's that the crust is more of a vessel (though a well-cooked one) than flavor provider, but it delivers structure. There's more than enough flavor everywhere else. -- Chocolate Chip Cookie: I always covet them but today I took the plunge. I expected good, but not necessarily great beyond pizza cookie standards. It's fairly thin, very bendy, and very moist, with so much chocolate that I feared it would detract from the dough. Not the case: despite a slight resemblance to supermarket bakery cookies, this dough emphasized butter, not sugar. And a fabulous butter at that (probably brown butter), bringing a darker flavor with nutty hints of caramel. Salt crystals on top are cliché nowadays, but restraint ensured they'd enhance, not distract. The flavor got better with every bite. Excellent cookie that would put many full fledged bakeries to shame. Back to the pizza: If you're not into the tomato, the char, or the lack of seating (2 booths), this place might not be for you. But I'm all for the first two and don't mind gambling on seating, because tailgating is always a worthy last resort for pizza this good.

I've gotten pizza from here twice and both times the crust was overdone, even burnt in some spots. I ordered via the Toast app and there is the option to ask for a lighter bake which I wish I had done. Both times I ordered a pizza with pepperoni and mushroom with garlic bread crust which was about $30 after tax and tip. The pizza is large but still on the pricey side. The garlic bread crust seemed like it was just garlic powder seasoning so it doesn't add much flavor. However I appreciate that they are generous with the toppings and aside from the crust, everything else was good. The location is a pain to get in and out of because the parking lot is small and it's located on a busy spot on 114 next to Stop and Shop.
