The counter help was not very convincing when discussing food allergies. They made no effort to converse with the Chef. The shrimp and Biarra tacos were fresh and good. The steak and chicken tacos were uneatable. The meat was not freshly made, it appeared to be sitting in a warmer for hours and it was incredibly dry. 5 tacos were literally untouched because of the lack of quality served. The guacamole and chips were the highlight of the meal. Take out took 50 minutes which is average on the island. The restaurant appeared clean and well staffed. read more

OH MY YUM!!! Nantaco for breakfast is the right decision!! The breakfast burrito came lined with the yummiest fried cheese and pockets of delicious hash brown. We just happened to see NanTaco as we were walking by. Friendly staff, quick service, prices are totally reasonable when compared to the rest of the island. Our group ordered chips and guac, shrimp nachos, carnitas taco, steak burrito, and a shrimp taco bowl. All of us enjoyed everything. And they allowed us to sit outside with our (well behaved) pup, which was a bonus. Would definitely come back. (Cusp of 5 stars but only downside was the seats were bar stools and on a slope - which was certainly not their fault, blame the cobblestones! It required some extra balancing while seated. Not a dealbreaker for us but mentioning in case others have accessibility needs.) read more

The best way to enjoy this burrito is to go out the night before, bike home from the bar at 2am (12 miles), not eat anything until 3pm the next day and then order the Ack California. This burrito is like getting to hug your late grandma one last time. I couldn't recommend it more. read more

Disappointing. I have gone in three times; tried beef, chicken, and pork offerings. Their tacos are small and on average underfilled each time over those three chances to wow me. I even figured that with they way they were sold you had to by three of the same kind they were maximizing their ability to have fair portions because customers were giving them $18...but no. Now they allow the customer to order one little taco for $6. The vegetable and cheese ingredient while fresh are not really flavorful. The meat is seasoned very blandly - as if for children. I have yet to see even a bottle of Cholula hot sauce (or any brand) to add some spice inside the restaurant. read more

Nantaco saved the day! We weren't expecting to eat here but Charlie Noble let us down. We showed up to Charlie Noble and they unexpectedly told us they were closing 3 hours early, at 6:30 with no explanation. Since we'd already canceled another dinner reservation to go to Charlie Noble, we were left without anywhere to eat on a very gusty and super rainy night. On our way back to our inn we happened upon NanTaco one of the only other places opened during the off season. I ordered the blackened fish tacos which were very flavorful and delicious. My husband had the pork taquitos which we were told we're just made up fresh. He also enjoyed. This happened to be a nice surprise. I recommend trying these guys the next time you are on the island. I was promised the best Mexican food of my life. Instead I received a hot plate of broken dreams and disappointment. we waited 30 minutes for takeout food. I ordered a street corn quesadilla with beans in it, the beans came on the side and the promised street corn tasted like undercooked microwave frozen corn. the rest of my family was also dissapointed for the overpriced small portions. The cashier was extremely pushy as well. Not a pleasant experience. read more

Aug 2023: I have a gluten allergy and went in and talked to the cashier when ordering. She assured me that their tacos are corn and that my meal was gf. Ordered Nantaco through delivery.com and was extremely disappointed my meal was so salty that I threw the whole thing away after the first bite , it was so salty that it felt like I had a chemical burn on the inside of my cheeks and immediately felt ill , it was if someone had dumped the entire contents of a salt shaker on my dinner, I contacted delivery. com who contacted Nantaco and was told a manager would call me to discuss a refund ( which never happened) the next day I contacted Nantaco leaving a message which was never returned . $9 for a taco - even by Nantucket standards is ridiculous. If it had been on an oversized tortilla, and filled to the brim with meat and cheese, etc., then perhaps that would have been ok.....but it was a two bite, small tortilla, barely filled with meat and even in the most expensive cities of NY and LA, selling "street tacos," its a $3.00 taco max. And frankly, it wasn't remarkable in flavor either. The "tater tots" nachos were $20 - basically tots and cheese with a few pieces of chicken. It was actually pretty good - but absolutely not worth the price. Its too bad, because our island could benefit from good mexican street food. I hate to write this review.... I always want to support new businesses. However, these are the the worst tacos I've ever had in my life. I'm from Texas and have been eating tacos all my life. I've been coming to Nantuket 27 years now and this is the worst food I've ever had on the island. Stale taco shells. The meat has NO seasoning. Save your money. Go around the street to Easy St Cantina. They know what they are doing. I hope NanTaco can right the ship. read more

Being a native to the island and with the recent loss of an OG taco/burrito place- "Tacos Tacos", "NanTaco" gave me some high hopes for some amazing burritos and Mexican cuisine in replacement of the well known establishment. Unfortunately the past two times I have been have been nothing but a greasy disappointment. Last night, the most recent venture there for dinner I wanted to try their breakfast burrito. Which I'm more than happy is served all day. But when receiving my burrito and taking a bite on the inside to see+taste literally ZERO bright yellow egg was more than depressing. The contents on the inside was NOTHING like a breakfast burrito should be. It didn't even taste like breakfast. I don't even wanna mention the feeling that you get when you finish a whole one of these things cuz it just clogs your arteries and makes you feel like shit. There was no flavor other than salt. Barely any salsa, little to probably no sour cream, and too many unnecessarily greasy ass tater tots. Get those children out from the kitchen and put some actual chefs in there that KNOW how to make something as simple as a burrito. Do not go here for burritos. Just stick to "Boat House"- they know what they're doing there. "NanTaco" has no idea. read more
